Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn't know you had, and fears you didn't know existed. Today Fatekit decided to scale the steep walls of our camp. There was nothing I could do, but watch from my perch and try to convince him to come down on his own. The stone wasn't strong enough to hold even my weight, nor could he be reached from up above. Then it happened... he fell.
I believe my heart stopped beating, as I watching him tumble through the air. I don't know when, but I leapt into the water after him. I managed to grab him and make it to shore, where I worked to revive his lifeless body.
I can not explain the relief that overcame me when he took that first breath. Knowing that he was still alive, even if just for that moment. - thread link
