Swiftclan
@gidgetgal Heavypetal had appeared at the whispers of Cradlegrave's name, his gloomy eyes focused on the place that he thought the smaller tom was, yet he found no one there. The large silver tabby blushed at the thought of interrupting the couple's conversation, but he nudged Firetooth gently with his shoulder, "Cradlegrave won't be making any blunders, but hold your breath in hopes that I don't." he mewed.
With that, he collected himself and bounded up the tree, finding a spot away from the rest, though close to the only leader he knew- Regulus E'tan. He wasn't familiar with anyone here, admittedly, he wasn't entirely familiar with StarClan either, or their code, but the acting leader knew one thing for sure, and that was the code for survival.
"Safe passage for healers and those seeking freedom from persecution should be allowed. though I think an escort wouldn't be a bad idea, both to defend the medical personnel, or the clan in the event the passerby turns hostile. No one should be roaming freely in anyones territory." he chimed in, hoping for his own, and his clans sake, he wasnt making a fool of himself.
Doe turned back to Poppymask, and this time his bored, acerbic contempt had more or less faded - an odd sort of narcissist with likes and dislikes difficult to understand, at that moment he liked her standing up to him. Now he wore a small smile on his face, chin tucked into his chest fur as she berated, threatened and insulted him. His eyes had warmed as well; he blinked at her with an expression somewhere between sombre and amused. He could make some jibe about her settling for the other one-eyed tom in the forest when Doe had gotten far further with the original than she ever had; he could start some petty, nasty little contest about who had had more conquests out of the two of them, a contest he was fairly certain he would win because, he thought with an internal little titter, look at him, and then look at her; but he didn't do any of that, because he was growing fond of her complete, baseless insanity. She was what he could have been if he'd been born a she-cat and didn't have all that internalised garbage messing him up.
When she stepped forward and the crown fell over her eyes, Doe let out a dainty purr and flicked his tail up to gently right the flowers from where they were still slightly crooked. "I understand, Poppymask," he replied gently, and there was no disrespect in his voice this time; she could keep on believing he was trouble and Ratstar was such a catch, but he liked her, in that vague, distant, slightly offensive way he felt about she-cats. "Now go back to guarding your husband - that girl over there looks like she could be trouble." He pointed to a random she-cat and slipped away into the crowd. "See you back at camp when Ratstar has finished being such a wonderful leader of our Clan," he sing-songed over his shoulder. Jadie
He glanced up at Heavypetal, thinking briefly of Peachblush when he saw that SwiftClan had arrived, but paid no more interest as he continued through the crowd.
(Jadie Says the SunClan deputy who was around for SunClan Sundays when my homework was due, oh how my grades will never be salvaged from that term xD Also I'll post my other characters replies to the gathering after this one!)
DAYCLAN "This code is to create peace between our clans," Glowstar said, her words rolled out, warm as a summer breeze when the leaders conversation had died down, "Peace requires sacrifice, some of that will be sacrificing our current freedom or culture," She said her gaze peering over Aspenstar, Ravenstar, and Littlestar, "It's up to everyone here to decide if these codes that give both gifts and restrictions to your clans is worth the sacrifice in exchange for peace. As it currently stands, unless you're a follower of StarClan there is no honor to be held between clan encounters or herbs shared or a pact to protect our youth. That is what you are losing if you walk away. I don't like some of these ideas either, but if it means my clan can have stability and opportunity towards peace then I won't make a fake, like a kit afraid to try new foods. It's worth a try and if don't like it code I will simply drop it and go on my way."
Glowstar fluffed up her cheek fur, peering into her reflection from her crystal clear claws, "But you're all young leaders so I'm sure you'll do what you do best and act outraged because you have all these feelings on what you believe in or act ultra reserved and mysterious. Either way everyone's said their ideas, let's vote and put our rocks in the piles we want. @ian stardanceracer
END OF VOTE
The vote concluded and after a bit of counting the new code was as followed. Now it was time to the leaders to decide if this was the code they would follow or one they would much rather walk away from.
THE NEW CODE
GATHERING RULES - No surprise attacks while a gathering is occurring
- If a cat tries to cause trouble/fight they aren't allowed at the gathering for a few moons
- Gatherings happen every full moon for the clans in a section (mountain clans together, forest clans together, etc.). Once every season a full forest gathering of all the clans may happen on the full moon.
- Fighting is allowed at gatherings, but each side must 1) agree to the fight (turning down a challenge is always allowed), 2) set rules before the fight and 3) have a referee from a different group oversee it.
- Exiled cats of any crime can only join a different clan by formally attending the gathering to publicly plead for sanctuary in another clan. It is up to the clan leaders attending to choose to take them in or not.
GENERAL RULES - When a Deputy (or its equivalent) passes away, or a new Leader is put in charge of a clan, a successor should be named as soon as possible to avoid a worst-case scenario where the leader passes away soon after and a clan is left without clear leadership.
- Free and safe passage to all healers for herb collecting
- Tend to your sick and weak and young with honor. Feed them before yourself, heal them before yourself, protect them before yourself.
- Do not waste prey, herbs, or resources. They are scarce across the lands and cats can not afford to waste what we have.
- All cats are allowed to start families should they choose - this includes leaders, med cats, etc.
- Clans may form alliances to give passage, otherwise trespassing is frowned upon. Some may decide their borders are open at their own discretion.
- Cats can have mates outside of their clans. But may need to meet outside their clan depending on alliances
- If two clans are stuck at war for longer than 6 moons. The other clans may intervene to push for peace, including proposing an arranged marriage to unify the clans and force peaceful negotiations.
KIT RULES - No cat is allowed to ignore a kit in pain or danger, regardless of clan. Any cat found to ignore this rule will be punished severely.
- No Clan is allowed to abuse kits for any reason, upon discovery these kits should be surrendered immediately (regardless of age) to their closest relatives in another clan, or if none are found fit adopted into a nearby clan that wants them.
- Every birth parent has the right to keep their kits mother or father a secret

Swiftclan Everything seemed well and fine for the deputy, though at the mention of cross border relationships, he grimaced. It was hard enough to keep track where everyone in his clan was as it was, and with most members of other clans thinking that their travelling spirit meant that the borders to Swiftclan were wide open, it might only make matters worse with cats going freely in and out as they pleased. His skin prickled, but he nodded, understanding what was at stake. He took a stone, rolling it gently between his paws as he watched to see what the other leaders would do. It was jarring to have to make this decision, especially since it wasnt just for himself. Though soon enough he would have harder ones to make.
Fallclan Weaselpaw watched as the leaders began their voting, his eyes narrowing slightly at the remark for healers being able to start their own families, across borders at that. Times had changed, and not necessarily in ways he expected. His icy blue eyes slid over the ground, biting his lip as he wondered if his clan would adhere to these new expectations.
DAYCLAN Glowstar had gone back and forth with Foxstar, largely because she seemed to select all and vote for nearly every single idea possible "for the chaotic opportunities," as she put it. But Foxstar recognized that a lot of these rules could screw her over and had inevitably tried to persuade her out of a few. Ultimately the two had compromised and voted for each one they both desired after a few tense discussions.
"I feel we should do this new code, do you think we should it? Am I crazy? Like, I think we should say yes?" Glowstar said to Foxstar, only she was saying this before they were announced, but once the code was announced Glowstar's ears flattened, "Well I guess the kitten beaters of the clan now have the right to have more kits if we follow this code. But I suppose we can still take them away from their abusive parents so I guess the new code is alright." Honeystorm
Leucisticcrow rubbed at his eyes, normally he was a night owl, but this was putting him to sleep. Then again, he did feel kind of excited to know if DayClan's code was going to change or not. But why did they talk so much about kits? Like did they really need kits? For a moment his sleepless mind wandered back to DayClan, thinking about Caspianpaw, but was pulled away from the depressing thought by Carriondare. His gaze widened for a second as he sheepishly moved acid green eyes away from her, "Uh, not reall- oh wait! Yeah, I introduced you to- yeah- no, I do remember," he said, a taunting smile played at his lips as he replied with a low yeah, at the comment of being pinned up against the tree, "You spoil me," He smirked, but noticed that she was looking away now. She never used to look away from him like that, she had turned away almost like she had made a mistake to talk to him begin with. "I'm glad too that-" His words faded into a whisper as he watched Pinesimmer approach them. She knew him, weird, then again it wasn't like she talked to only him, he just didn't know just how much she had spoken to others, which somehow left him feeling a little insecure.
Smiling at Carriondare he got up, brushing past her to let her know that they were cool in case she had any doubts, "Hey, I'm going to go save that cat from Yucca, but you have fun. Let me know if you need to throw me into a tree again," Lucistic said, but when he turned his head he felt less focused as he made his way over to Yuccablossom. "What are you crazy kids talking about?" He asked, as he placed his head over Yuccablossom's teasingly to stare at the kid in front of her.
"NightClan, Jack- midnight blue! Um... Green leaf, is that okay?" Jackdawpaw asked the head peacekeeper before noticing Leucisticcrow, "You got a cat leaning on you," He told Yuccablossom as though Leucisticcrow were a bug that Yuccablossom may not have noticed was pestering her. "Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked Yuccablossom, a strange first question since he didn't even know her name yet. Jadiefox
RENEGADE REGIME "You don't say," Blindfaith said, turning around to Soaringlight before squeezing her sister into a hug, "A lot has happened and um. Also I have memory issues so if I seem a little bit odd that's probably why." She said, moving back from her sister, but teared up just staring at her, "I'm sorry, I just thought I would never see you again and... I'm just sorry. Mom and dad are alright though, just complicated stuff, you know how it always is," She said trying to push back the choking feeling in her throat from the sobs that wanted to rise. She always knew this moment would be hard for all the right reasons, but she didn't anticipate just how much until it was happening. Jadie
PRIMAL INSTINCT "I'm Miss Nunyah Business," Brie-kun said, already pushing at Reapingnight to move over, "But your Reapingpaw, aren't you? Your mommas up there," Her single lily green eye gazed up at the tree before landing on him, but the way she looked at Reapingnight was more like someone looking at a project, "I can use a handsome devil like you. You like screwing people over, handsome?" Jadie
DAYCLAN Foxstar didn't have too much a problem giving into certain things, but others, she was fairly adamantly against. Unfortunately, that didn't necessarily translate to other clans agreeing with her opinion, though she'd take them allowing PDA as a win. "I've always preferred enforcing rules rather than adhering to them, Glow." the fox-furred feline replied with a quiet sigh, "It's not the worst code I've seen ever, but when you like being above such things, it's never going to be preferable." Of course she wasn't thrilled, but it wasn't like she was going to listen to it half the time anyway, so did it matter that much? Faith
NIGHTCLAN Pinesimmer booped Eshek on the nose without hesitation, despite the presence of Lucistic, who she seemed to know well enough. He would have said something to the tom, but apparently the DayClan cat decided it was best to slip away. "For a cat who is willing to jump in to save some random medicine cat from a SunClan cat, you sure are a wimp when it comes to gatherings, aren't you? Or maybe the massive cat who's just left us has you flustered?" If he had eyebrows, he'd be waggling them about now. "Besides aren't I supposed to be the one threatening to shred Aspenstar?" Funny, he seemed to be in a better mood simply for her hatred of his sister. fox
RENEGADE REGIME Miracle glanced at Bliss with a slow blink. "Right, you don't know. He disappeared a few moons ago. Regulus is the new Nemesis, so I hear." She raised a paw, pointing to where the tom and his assassin mate were sitting. Jadie
Eshek's pelt fizzed and warmed when Luc brushed against her and she stiffened, feeling a rush of confused anger, or adrenaline, or something violent, because she had no idea how to process it - it was just a lot of feeling, like the heightened awareness that came a second before leaping into the fray, before the kill. She didn't have the faintest clue how to deal with that, with the feeling that was like raw carnage but so much more pure and clear, so she just wouldn't think about it. Her fur prickled slightly; she forced it to lie flat. Eshek watched Luc walk away with a forlorn look on her face, like there was something she should be saying sorry for; she would have gone after him, and half-rose to do so, but then she was reminded of Pinesimmer sitting close beside her. She dragged her gaze away from where Lucistic had gone over to join his daughter and offered Pine a slightly dazed smile. Her expression cleared a moment later. "Hey, yeah, maybe we should get someone to beat you up, it might make me feel better." At his tease about Lucistic, Eshek shoved her paw against the medicine cat's cheek and roughly pushed him away. "He's my friend. Don't be gross. I'd say something about one'a your friends but, wait," she dragged Pine back close with one foreleg hooked around his neck and finished with a smile, her muzzle a breath from his, "you don't have any." She grinned and pushed him away again, purring. Besides aren't I supposed to be the one threatening to shred Aspenstar? "Sweetheart," she cooed patronisingly, tilting her head and giving him a sympathetic little smile, "you couldn't shred an ant. Your sister would kick your ass. That's why it's my job. You just sit there and look pretty."
Her gaze wandered back to Luc. She felt like she should go over there, but she didn't want to crowd him. Not that she'd ever cared about bothering him before. She suddenly worried she was a burden he was just being nice to. "Your apprentice is lookin' like he wants to become an Eerie," she pointed out dryly, jerking her nose towards where Jackdawpaw was practically proposing to Yuccablossom five seconds after meeting the much older Peacekeeper. "Guess with all these new rules medicine cats don't have to be lonely celibate freaks anymore. Dammit, that was such a turn on. Now you're all just as lame as everyone else. Rest in peace, StarClan, by the way. Guess your mission of makin' NightClan follow all their dumb laws was a bust, huh?"
Bermondsey didn't really like gatherings. There was too much of a risk; he knew the two kits under his care were grown enough to attend these sort of things nowadays, and well...there was a reason he didn't want to see them. There was a reason why he didn't want Charlotte to seem them either. They were fine on their own, settled into the clans he had put them in. A twinge of regret could be felt in his chest; he should've at least allowed them to stick together, but back then...everything was a rush. He didn't have time to make sure they were perfectly settled in the perfect clans; Evenie had been near death's door, and he had only given Aleksy away when it was clear they'd never make it over the mountains, especially with a kitten so young.
Still, he found himself creeping in near the back, only entering when he was certain he didn't see the two younger ones in the crowd. He found himself settling in the raggedy crowd of the rest of the league's cats.
"You look like you're trying to hide from something. Either that or you're planning something nefarious," an amused voice spoke, the grey eyes of Rhiannon turning to the warden, observant and curious.
"It's none of your business," he spoke dryly, "but you can never be too careful around these places either." His eyes caught the sight of a familiar face near the DayClan cats. Ugh. Please don't let her see me, he groaned internally. He was not ready to talk to that crazy she-cat who just wouldn't stop stalking him. Of course, it wasn't about their little tryst a while back! Of course not!
He made a beeline for the crowd, hoping she didn't see him yet.
SUMMERCLAN Ratstar let out a sigh as the results were announced, sharing a somewhat relieved glance with Jetstar; two of his three proposed rules had been agreed upon, as well as Jetstar's proposal about protecting abused kits, so he'd consider that a win for common decency and morality. Unfortunately, the old rule about keeping kits until six moons old wasn't kept around, though he had a feeling that most clans would just do things like the old ways anyhow - at the very least Summerclan and Springclan would. The rule about allowing parentage to remain private came as a surprise though; it worked out in his favor actually, considering his and Poppymask's...arrangement. Speaking of which...
Hearing a ruckus at the bottom of the tree, the tabby tom looked over to see his darling mate and Doefreckle in the middle of an argument. Not really. It was more or less Poppymask billowing like a cloud, spitting fire at the other tom, who looked vaguely amused before walking away. Ratstar rolled his eye in exasperation; go figure. "Darlin', quit harassin' the ol' man," he meowed with a chuckle, hopping down to a lower branch so she could hear him. "He's 'bout as interested in me as a broken twig in the Deep Lands. Besides, he's got both o' us beat with his own catch."
SWIFTCLAN "You literally can't do any worse than the two before you," Firetooth playfully shot back to Heavypetal as he passed by, content to stay where he was and cuddle with Jetfire in their little corner until the results came out - thank Starclan that the 'no PDA' rule didn't pass; it would've been a disaster. Who on earth came up with that? With the final code was announced, the Medicine Cat sat up straight, listening intently. 'Free and safe passage to healers' - a no brainer - 'Don't waste herbs' - should be common freaking sense but whatever floats your log -
All cats are allowed to start families should they choose - this includes leaders and medicine cats.
Firetooth's eyes went wide as he stared up at the leaders in pure disbelief. They...actually agreed to that? A majority of the leaders actually wholeheartedly agreed to let Medicine Cats have their freedom? "I can't believe it..." he meowed quietly, turning back to Jetfire and embracing her, burying his face in her fur. "We don't have to hide anymore."
In the distant crowd, the voice of one Mountainpaw of Swiftclan could be heard giving a "WHOOP!" at the annoucement.
"Oh yes, I have lots of boy-friends, including this tom right here," Yuccablossom purred, giving her father a kiss on the cheek and leaning into him with gusto, "But I don't have a boyfriend, the mate kind, if that's what you're after. I'm asexual so while I love a lot of cuddles and hugs I don't enjoy anything more than that, I'm sorry if that's weird to say but I like to be upfront about it when someone shows interest in me. You're a little young so our date will have to wait until you're a Warrior, but we can totally hang out and chase turtles - in the water, of course, it's not fun on land, I've tried it - and stuff like that if you want! OH! I'll bring a few other cats with me and we can make a tournament out of it, you should bring your friends too!" Faith
SUNCLAN
Seeing Blindfaith for the first time in moons elicited a respond from Soaringlight that she hadn't expected: She began to cry. She wasn't weeping or sobbing or anything like that but she couldn't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks and dampening her long lost sister's shoulder.
"I was so afraid that you'd died too... I never did buy dad's stupid rock theory," She mewed honestly, giving her another tight squeeze before pulling away and wiping at her eyes. Soaringlight tried to say something else but he words caught in her throat as she chocked back a sob, "Brother this is embarrassing," She sniffled with a nervous laugh, "Let's move somewhere a little less crowded so we can catch up. Where have you been?" Faith
SUMMERCLAN
Poppymask very nearly cleaved Doefreckle's paw right off when it got close to touching her flower crown, but despite all her bark she was a pacifist so she'd never actually take any fight to the point of it being physical. She may use violence to threaten, yes, but she'd never own up to it and even now if Doefreckle pointed out she'd said she'd take away a few of his freckles, she'd outright deny, deny, deny. Poppymask had an image to keep up, after all. She was SummerClan's Flower Queen.
"Yeah, dear...?" Her apparent rage sizzled out when she heard Ratstar's Darlin and she turned to face her leader and mate. He looked so hot up in that tree, really she couldn't blame Doefreckle for ogling him but of course she would continue to so do, "I'm not harassing him, Ratty, I'm just reminding him of his place, that's all. Right, Doefr---"
In her brief discussion with Ratstar it appeared the other tom had sneaked away. That, too, upset Poppymask, but she didn't dwell on it long, not when Ratstar was talking to her. She turned her attention back to her mate, pressed her paws together and leaned forward to make her busty fluffed out chest even more apparent and, hopefully, alluring, "Are you done yet? I could really use a cuddle right now..." GidgetGal
WINTERCLAN
"First of all, I'm ReapingNIGHT," The haughty dark-furred tom corrected, setting his mustard yellow eyes both on Brie singular green one with a hard, non-nonsense stare. He was trying to intimidate in a way that came easily to his mother and father but clearly he had a ways to go before he mastered it, "Secondly, I love screwing people over, and third... ly, thanks for calling me handsome but don't think that means I'll compliment you too. You're average at best. So what do you want exactly, Miss Nunyah?" Faith
RENEGADE REGIME
"O-oh," Bliss replied, returning her mate's slow blink. She was sort of out of breath for the moment... to be honest it had been really hard for her to come to this Gathering at all because of Funk but she wanted to, just to prove that she'd grown. Finding out that he was missing left her feel like she conquered the castle and Peach wasn't there. It did bring some relief, though, knowing that he wasn't even among the Clans anymore, "Maybe he returned to life as a kittypet. He always spoke fondly of his twoleg. I hope wherever he is, he's happy."
Her words were sort of empty and sort of not, but verbalizing it brought her some closure. Enough closure that she was ready to change subjects, "So.... anyone you want to talk to?" Honeystorm
Littlestar looked over to the other leaders after the results had been announced "Very well, SunClan will agree to follow this code temporarily, on the condition that it be refined by the leaders who agree to follow it. I do not agree with everything proposed this night, but for the sake of peace between the clans some compromises will have to be made from all the clans" she looked over to Ravenstar, the young MoonClan leader who always seemed to do the opposite of she
After all three of the other leaders agreeing to the code were related to her, and several others she had already arranged peaceful interactions with such as Aspenstar and Ratstar. There seemed little reason to pick a meaningless fight over the finer details that could be ironed out with some time.
stardanceFaithHoneystorm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jetfire smiled "Well yes, but there will be time for that later. Right now they all seem more interested in finding out the results" she probably shouldn't have been so out in the open with her affection for the medicine cat, but after everything they had been through she wasn't afraid of the gazes she felt on their fur any longer. She refused to believe that their love was wrong, let them stare. Her ears perked up as the new code was announced, a slow grinning spreading across her face "Not that we were doing a good job of hiding it anyway" but... it also scared her a little. Would this... change things? Would he want kits of his own now? She pushed the thoughts away, deciding that this was a good thing and she wasn't going to allow anything to darken their mood GidgetGal -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darksonata had been hovering near by his sister, spotting Blindfaith before their sister had. He stared, blnking, almost thinking that he was seeing something that wasn't there. A ghost come to haunt them? But then she spoke, and Soaringlight had heard it to. He began to smile, moving forward to touch her cheek gently with his nose "Welcome home" home wasn't a place. Not in his mind. Home was anywhere so long as you were with family FaithJadie
"I'M NOT OLD!" Doefreckle shouted back through the crowd, though he couldn't be seen by that point. A quiet mutter could just be heard, "you rat.”
So now you could have mates outside your Clan; he felt both warm, giddy and relieved, and annoyed at the lack of intrigue and scandal. Medicine cats could have mates now too. Was nothing forbidden anymore? He tssked crossly, while still feeling strangely happy.

Eshek’s gaze flicked to the side when she spotted quick movement at the other side of the clearing. Her pelt prickled with unease when she saw Bermondsey. God, everything was freaking her out tonight; she felt on edge and uncomfortable, like all her emotions were too heightened, and vaguely queasy. “Gimme a sec,” she told Pinesimmer apologetically, giving him a quick look that looked more startled than anything, and hurried quickly over to Bermondsey. “You can stop squirming, y’know,” she hissed as soon as she fell into place beside him, slinking a panicked loop around him. “No one knows. Only the lord. And she would’a gotten quite the eye full,” she added with a dirty little laugh, her voice licentious and husky, hunching her shoulders and baring her teeth as she snickered, “Ber, you’re not as hopeless as everyone probably thinks.” She snapped out of it a second later. Esh was slightly calmer as she continued, her voice warmer and more soothing, genuinely trying to be a good friend and make him feel better despite how tired she herself felt. It was clear in how foggy her usually sharp eyes looked. “So just, y’know- chill. It’s done. We’ll never talk about it again.” She paused, like she wanted to leave but felt the need to ask, because she did care about Bermondsey. “You okay?”
“NO, BUT YOU’RE UGLY,” she interrupted the moment to shout at Doefreckle, her old trainee-hood friend, because she couldn’t not take the opportunity to wind him up. “STUPID TWINK.”
“Oh shut up,” Doefreckle grumbled back from the crowd.
“Sorry,” Esh resumed softly, turning back to Ber and leaning slightly in, her forepaws resting atop her back paws. Her brow furrowed worriedly, feeling guilty and insecure about how childish she still was in the face of... this. Truth was, she just couldn’t sit down and look it in the eye. The air between them was tight with awkwardness and tension they couldn’t talk about. It hadn’t been awful - in fact it had been quite lovely. But the thought of Ber not wanting to be her friend anymore, of betraying Funk, of whatever was going on with Luc... She felt vulnerable and afraid. achromatic

Okay well, at least he didn't have to address it. He wasn't the kind of cat who blushed or asked 'what are we' after a one night stand, and they had both been...well, overcome with emotions really. There was just...a lot going on, and frankly Bermondsey didn't even know whether he had felt any sort of attraction, and frankly, their little one night thing had been a surprise to him too. He was able to admit that he didn't hate Eshek, which was as close as a 'hey I kind of like you' as anything he could admit.
He gave her an awkward chuckle, his only available response because he really had no idea how to act. "Yeah," his eyes darted to the cats around them, before finally turning to Eshek once more, "let's agree to pretend that didn't happen and go back to...I don't know what we were doing before this but you know, I'm fine with pretending that nothing happened if you are."
As much as he hated to admit it, he liked actually having other cats around despite his no-nonsense, irritable demeanor. fox

Spookshiver was surprised that the new code didn't allow unnecessary killing. Nonetheless, the white she-cat would do whatever her superiors told her to do. She owed NightClan her life, and she wasn't going to question the new code.
