11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This is a special site wide event gathering unlike any other we have done before!
In our last site wide gathering StarClan made it clear that clans needed to choose to follow StarClan and the warrior code or have their clans viewed as nothing more than rogues. Unfortunately for StarClan this plan backfired on them as they only have four followers left FallClan, NightClan, SpringClan, and SummerClan. Making StarClan followers a minority compared to the clans with less traditional views.
For the first time since StarClan divided the clans all eleven leaders have agreed to meet under the full moon to discuss creating a new code that they can all follow in order to return harmony. Clan leaders will look at the rules proposed, vote for which rules they wish to follow and then decide at the end if this new code is one they want their clan to follow in order to maintain the harmony of the clans.
Will harmony return to the forest or will this new order of the code create more conflict and divide than they had before?

(We will start the rp with all of our clan leaders already in attendance (Unless they're late for dramatic effect or fun plot purposes) so anyone can rp a cat from any clan)
The leaders met at the large wide spread tree in the center of the gatherings clearing. The clearing itself was a blur of all four groups. There were tiny patches of a few sparse trees and shrubbery from the ForestClan's flowing into the gathering. But the plants were all a blur of foliage found from all around the mountain side. Then there were the chaotic nocturnal creatures that seemed to glide across the sky from the Revolution Group. And of course the tiny rivulet brooks that were as shallow as a kits paw traveling in a twisted cobweb pattern all about the gathering. A reminder of the Survival Clans that once upon a time used to meet for these gatherings too.
Now it was just a matter of chattering while the leaders had time to discuss
Jetstar's tail flicked. Aside from Littlestar and Ratstar, she hadn't had many interactions with any of the other clan leaders lately and with SpringClan's territory now currently very waterlogged and flooded, the tan and black she cat, very much would rather not be here.
But for the sake of Littlestar and Ratstar, her sister in law, and SpringClan's steadfast ally in SummerClan she could tolerate the other clans.
"Let's not dawdle." Jetstar meowed. "The code before made sense, though it was tied to StarClan, I imagine we can keep much the same but with some changes to simply account for the fact not everyone here believes in StarClan." She said.
"Though I will say adamantly I will not hear a word about changing the code for kits to begin training and fighting. Kits are precious to their clans and should not be allowed to begin training or fighting until they are 6 moons of age."
"Also," She went on as this had been a point of contention for her for a while as she side eyed Wintrystar. "I believe going forwards we should make abusing kits an offense carrying the consequence of removing those kits from a hostile environment. No kit should ever again be subject to such terrible abuse, and should be able to be rescued and rehomed to either family capable of caring for them, or taken into a clan willing to adopt them and reach the bare minimum of providing them a decent home they can grow up in." Jetstar said primly and simply.

PRIMAL INSTINCT Regulus E'tan was both mildly curious and yet nonchalant about attending the gathering. He had been busy getting everyone settled into their new territory in the mansion when he had been asked to join the gathering. At first he was going to pass on it, who needs to attend such a thing? But Agamede had persuaded him into going. All the leaders would be here so he could get a feel for what they were all like as well as showing himself for the first time to everyone else. He wished to make an impression for himself here. Hopefully one that rightfully showed just how he was. Either they'd love him or hate him. He'd prefer to not have any cats be his enemy but if it happened, well then oh well. They must not be important then.
"All right guys have fun and do what you usually do. Try not to embarrass The League in anyway, or at least in a way I would deem it to be dishonorable. Other than that disburse." The Nemesis was indeed much bigger and bulkier than Funk had been so already was much larger than his predecessor. His green eyes casually swept around the gathering seeing so many different cats and all the different smells of the groups as well. What a time this would be. "Alright Agamede I think I have a rough idea on whom everyone is but if I miss someone definitely tell me." He whispered to her quietly to the side as he listened and watched the other leader's for their interactions and what they had to say about things. Honeystorm ~~~ Pandora was here too glad she had been given the choice to join before quickly accepting the invitation. Partly she wanted to see some of the other cats from the other various clans and groups...but she was also hoping to see her Pandora. Regulus could care less about the friends or mates you had outside The League as long as it didn't affect Primal Instinct in general. The hopeful she cat looked around searching for her friend.
SUNCLAN The Janus walked with her clanmates feeling a small wave of excitement to be attending such a huge gathering. The white and grey she cat looked all around seeing some familiar faces here and there. Lilypool was glad she was getting this opportunity to attend this only hoping now to help make a good impression for Sunclan...not that they had any since most cats hated them. Still though there wasn't a reason to not try. If anything if she could help fix some of Sunclan's reputation maybe it would benefit them into getting more allies or members to join. Or well she was hopeful at the very least.

(We'll say the gathering takes place before the latest DC plot)
DAYCLAN Glowstar sat amongst the leaders, normally surrounded by friends she never looked more alone seated in the tree. Her eyes held the same optimistic shine, the prim perfect smile carelessly tossing the most welcoming smirks to onlookers was all the same. She normally melt hearts with a look, but for all of her overwhelming sweet aura it wasn't enough to thaw the tension between the eleven leaders.
"No PDA at gatherings, wait who suggested this one?" Glowstar asked, but didn't contribute a vote stone to that pile. The tree was wide spread allowing ample room to sit on a semi flat surface towards the mid part of the tree. Her auburn fur melded into Foxstar's as she leaned into her mate's shoulder, trying to think of the right move. Some leaders like herself had already begun voting for the topics that had already been suggested, while others were still choosing to talk it out more first.
WINTERCLAN Howlingnight stuck close by under the tree as a deputy would, only in this case his mate, Wintrystar was up the tree voting.
SUMMERCLAN Ratstar couldn't help but smile as Jetstar got things started. Ever the optimist, the one-eyed tabby had high hopes that everything could go smoothly. He even had his darling Poppymask craft him a particularly simple, yet elegant, flower crown of bright lilies and lavender for the occasion. Like his Springclan counterpart, he didn't know many of the other leaders all that well; though he also cast a far more obvious and mischievous glance at Wintrystar at the mention of the second rule.
"That all seems reasonable enough, Jetstar," he agreed, casually leaning forward to give his chest fur a few contemplative licks. "Though on the subject o' kits bein' six moons old, I've heard o' situations where that rule was broken due t'...divine interference. I recommend the addition that an apprentice has t' be six moons, even if a clan's chosen deity sends a sign for a particular path o' life."
"Furthermore," he continued, his green gaze sweeping over his fellow leaders evenly. "I'd like t' keep one o' the old rules: that no cat is allowed to ignore a kit in pain or danger, regardless of clan o' otherwise. An' any cat that's found t' ignore this rule should be severely punished for it. Kits are the future for all o' us. Without their care an' well-bein', the clans would never have survived this long."
SWIFTCLAN Firetooth was sitting idly off to the side, spending most of his mental willpower in attempting to hold his tongue while overhearing the conversation between all of the leaders. Why did something as important as rewriting the entire warrior code fall to these clowns?
SAKURAPAW Purple and pink eyes gazed upon the leaders as they discussed and voted, her expression clouded and difficult to read. The medicine cat, despite not yet having her full name and being so young, had already seen so much. Passing a new code pertaining to their warrior ancestors… Her heart clenched uncomfortably. It felt too restrictive. Their ancestors were free to choose their own paths beyond this life much as they, as their descendants, were able to. Though only moons ago she looked at StarClan as untouchable deities, her faith in them as ‘gods’ in any capacity was being shaken to dust. The healer settled her eyes on Jetstar, swallowing. She only hoped whatever code was passed would be one that didn’t inhibit free will.
STYGIAN Though he wasn’t invited and really not yet seen as an actual member of SpringClan, Stygian tilted his head and listened to whatever snippets of conversation came his way as he sat at the very edge of the mass gathering. It all seemed very dramatic to him. Catching the warm scent of prey nearby, the tom felt his mouth water and swallowed.
Littlestar sat close to the cluster of leaders she was most familiar with. Glowstar, Foxstar, and Jetstar. The silver queen had arrived to the gathering early, making sure that not only did the other leaders know that she had returned, but that she was back in top form. He pelt groomed impeccably, her body paint applied meticulously down to the finest details such as the glimmer of subtle glitter that had been mixed in
"If the Sun God sends a sign for one of our kits to ascend to Janus, I will not hold them back from their potential" she replied, leveling her gaze with Ratstar's "However, I do agree with you that kits are the future of our clans. I am not opposed to have a rule protecting them added to the new code" GidgetGalJetclaw
Jetfire glanced over to where her mother and the other leaders were talking, before joining her mate. She hadn't been around this many cats in quite a while, and she half expected Bloody to emerge from the crowd... But she wasn't scared, not any longer. She wrapped her tail around her mate's refusing to care what anyone else thought of their relationship GidgetGal
Jetstar grimaced when Littlestar spoke. She had kind of forgotten about that. That technically if the Sun God sent a sign down, kits could very well be made Priest/Priestess Promised if he so willed it. And leader if the previous leader was just that unlucky.
"I don't think it would necessarily hamper their potential to let them be kits for a few extra moons." Jetstar said slowly. "I've never had kits myself, but from what I've seen and been told it seems they do need time to be well, kits."
"I understand and respect your devotion to your god Littlestar, but I feel for the safety of kits and having seen far too many cases of abuse." She shot a look at Wintrystar. "Along with instances of the dictator in SunClan, causing trauma for kits. It's in the best interest that the clans draw this line firmly. You can still induct them into the ways of the Sun God... just no battle training."
She could very much recall the time that a bunch of kits plus Skipstep had been sent to execute a cat... she couldn't fully recall how it had played out.
Eshek, alias Carriondare, alias hey idiot was skulking at the edge of the Gathering clearing, watching Regulus with a dark, hateful glare. It had taken everything in her not to wear one of Funk's scarves she'd scavenged from the Mansion, after coming back to life and before the League's return to it, just so a part of him could be there. The new Nemesis didn't deserve to be there, filling Funk's place, walking around like he was even half of what he had been. She wondered if Glowstar and Foxstar even cared, wondered if anyone else was drowning under the black weight of Funk's loss - this stupid Gathering continuing without him, someone who didn't deserve the title wearing it like he had never been there at all, the complete lack of him, of his insufferable jokes and his hooded gaze. Eshek felt like her fur was static, like everything was too loud and too close and too much.
She turned her head away with a contemptuous sniff and a low growl. Though she'd come with DayClan, it felt strange to not be sitting over there with Primal Instinct. She eyed them with a foul-tempered sort of longing. At the previous Gatherings she'd snuck in to, she'd treated it like one big joke, flopping down in the middle of the clearing completely in the way and making cats pick their way around her. Now, she stuck to herself, all hunched shoulders and unhappy claws. "What a drag," she growled to Leucisticcrow, sitting close beside her partner in crime. She could care less about StarClan. She wanted to go to bed. She hoped Bermondsey would come.
summerclan
Doefreckle eyed Ratstar up in the tree with a curious mix of dislike, relief that he wasn't the one having to make decisions about StarClan, bitterness that he wasn't the one having to make decisions about StarClan, and reluctant fondness for the leader, like he was silently barracking for him to succeed. If no one else was paying attention to what was being said by the leaders, he was, and if Ratstar caught his eye he'd see Doe nodding him along. It was also the first time he'd properly seen NightClan since he left as a young warrior; he watched Aspenstar curiously, seeing himself in the way all their eyes soaked in the darkness like they could see more clearly in it than the day. He felt restless and anxious. Unnerved. He didn't like the nervous feeling in the clearing that night, and whatever his personal feelings for StarClan, the thought of separating from their guidance completely frightened him; he was still fundamentally traditional. Every so often he'd cast a glance at the League, half-hoping Hywel would be there, but he'd had enough regrettable instances of romance at Gatherings that made him queasy to think back on and was faintly hoping he wasn't. Of course, that would all vanish in a second's heady rush if he did show up.

PRIMAL INSTINCT "If I may throw my hat into the ring, I agree...kits, younglings, however you call them should be protected. After all the next generations are vital for surivival. However who has the right to tell a leader when they want or should promote a young cat? It's all circumstantial and should rely on individual and circumstance. That at least I disagree with...it's none of my buisness if you choose to push your kits into adulthood sooner than not. As long as they aren't being abused by that position." His tail swished out behind him as Regulus made mental notes on each individuals stance on things or how they looked to the others. Even something as small as glancing to another cat gave Regulus a clue to their personality.

SUMMERCLAN The Summerclan leader listened patiently to Littlestar's argument, looking almost pleased to have someone who wanted to debate with. In all honesty he forgot that, even with the new, less-oppressive leadership, Sunclan was still as devoted to their deity as ever. It would almost be admirable if it wasn't so completely terrifying. What was even more terrifying was the idea of having a literal kit in any position that vaguely resembled leadership...all he could imagine was his daughter Sunpetal in a position of power as a kit, and that was something no being on earth should ever have to suffer. "Surely your Sun God would be willing t' let his chosen lose their kitten fluff before they take on such responsibility?" He countered good-naturedly. "The difference between four moons an' six probably means nothin' t' a God, but it means everythin' t' a kit. Teach 'em what ya will, but they shouldn't need t' learn t' fight until they can stand eye-t'-eye with the one trainin' 'em."
SWIFTCLAN Firetooth's annoyed expression softened immediately when Jetfire made her way to his side, leaning up against her with a pleased purr. "Let's hope Cradlegrave doesn't make any mousebrained decisions up there, or I'll have to claw his ears myself," he whispered, only half-joking, in her ear. "I'm surprised you're joining me over here so early, though. Didn't you want to get see your family? It's been a while since they've seen you."
MoonClan Ravenstar really just didn't want to be here. He had no interest in building whatever code they wanted to make. If someone wanted to break it, there would be nothing stopping them. It was all just useless squabble that would end up making more drama down the road. But, at this argument he could help but balk. "Please, I don't want any of your cats coming into my camp to inspect how I'm treating my kits. While they the shouldn't be abused, of course, I don't want any code giving anyone permission to barge into my camp if they suspect something." The Maine Coon's tail swished slowly from side to side. "Besides, why are we wasting time arguing this anyway? We all know its bad, and bad cats will do bad things. If a Clan, take, for example SunClan, wants to abuse kits, it will abuse kits. Nothing we can do about that, and I don't need a stupid code telling me to do something about it."
Aspenstar tilted her head. Well, wasn't this something, watching all of the leaders bicker about logistics. Honestly, Ravenstar was right; no matter what they decided tonight, it wasn't like there was a very big likelihood that the cats gathered would actually follow the rules. Sure, they were good in theory, but the ashy-fawn colored she-cat would simply not hesitate to break any one of them if it was for the benefit of NightClan. Did that make her a villain? Probably, but her intentions were clear : everything that was done in NightClan was for the greater good of the group of nocturnal felines. Sometimes, that meant rules were meant to be broken. She sat patiently for a lull of silence, before tilting her head.
"An interesting way to put that, Ravenstar," meowed the leader with a faint hint of interest in her voice. "However, I believe he may have a point about internal affairs and barging into clans uninvited. Regardless of the decisions we come to tonight, NightClan will not tolerate other felines on our land. Even with a... pass, felines will wait at our border, or they will face the claws of my warriors. The only exception to this, of course, is medical staff. Under no circumstance should a healer be subjected to unsafe travels, so long as they come in peace."
Under no circumstance should a healer be subjected to unsafe travels. From her place at the edge of the clearing, Eshek just caught Aspenstar's words. She scoffed under her breath, head turned sidewards to glower down at the ground. Yeah, you could have your married boyfriend break all their legs but God forbid you look like a hypocrite in front of the whole Gathering. This whole Clan crap where everyone pretended to be better than they really were was grating on her tonight; everything was so much easier in the League, where everyone was just unapologetically awful and better for it. Kill kits, don't kill kits - did they really have to drag everyone out of bed to listen to this.
Foxstar leaned into Glowstar's fur with a slight purr. "Shule, maybe? She seems like the type to hate fun of any sort." The she-cat mused from her place beside her mate. This was the very first gathering she'd sat up here as a leader since having stepped down from Priestess, and she slid into the role as if it were as natural as a fish to water. Were there plenty of cats who would hate to see here up here? Very likely. But if they weren't DayClan, she didn't particularly care.
Commander Shule's tail twitched irritably as she peered at the DayClan leaders, her sisters in law. Honestly, she wished she could just push Foxstar out of the tree, but such a death would still be too good for her. "I think no PDA is a respectable rule." The mostly black feline commented coldly, before turning her head to other cats. "I have to agree there should be a rule against kit abuse. It's happened far too often to simply let it go unchecked."
Agamede, of course, sat nearby to Regulus despite not being a leader. She was assassin, and his mate on top of it, so she ought to make sure no one caused him any trouble. The ghostly feline have him a dreamy sort of smile and a shallow nod, peering around at the cats and landing on Eshek for a moment. The current Nemesis' mate had been... well, friends of a sort, with Funk. At the least, the previous leader had valued the fact she did Senescence's work for her, and helped him out. But unlike some, she'd clearly taken an interest in this new cat, rather than focusing on the one now gone.
Pinesimmer should probably have been with the other medicine cats, but given that Aspenstar would probably vote against any suggestion he gave, he honestly didn't care to pay too much attention. Of course, he too half laughed at her talk of healers getting safe passage. He agreed, of course, but there was a certain irony in his sister of all cats supporting his safety. Not more than a moment later he spotted Eshek not so far away, and didn't hesitate to head over to her, her glare forcing him into a half-smile of amusement. "What, have a problem with the dirt? I didn't realize you had such a personal vendetta against it." fox
When Eshek listlessly raised her head, her gaze happened to lock with Agamede's. She gave her an ugly sneer-smile, bad-tempered and disdainful, and looked away. What an honour, to be the Nemesis' mate. To be a queen. Having never been close to Senescence despite having spent her entire proxyship opposite her and sharing Lucistic and Innocentia in both their lives, she didn't know Agamede was any relation to her. Her lip curled, twitching slightly.
She tried to distract herself. "D’you remember the last Gathering you and I were at together?" she purred in Luc’s ear, leaning up and meeting his gaze with a fondly teasing sparkle in her eye. "It was the first time you told me about your other life in DayClan, the one where you were Leucistic, not Lucistic!!" She mimicked the panicked way he’d said those exact words, flailing her forepaws around, like both names didn’t sound exactly the same. She settled down, looking up at him with a soft look on her face. "It was nice. It’s how we’re here at all." If she hadn’t stumbled across him smelling of DayClan and forced him to admit to his double life - triple, if you counted WaterClan - she wouldn’t have known to look for him there after coming back to life. "It was nice, too, pinning you against that tree in the dark." There was a strange hint to her voice, almost flirtatious - but it was just a thoughtless rush, like how you’d get drunk and flirt with a friend you’d always had insane chemistry with without even thinking about it; it was just the natural next step. She left out how they’d been interrupted by Lucistic’s wife and son. As soon as she realised how easy it had been to flirt with Lucistic, Eshek looked quickly away, frowning to herself. Something was twisting at her gut and making her temples prickle with self-conscious, uncertain warmth, like the whole world was watching her. She… wasn’t going to think about that now. Faith
Her expression brightened when she spotted Pinesimmer heading over. "Well, if it isn't Mr. Legs himself," she greeted with a playful little growl, eyes narrowing to dark slits as she stood to bump her forehead roughly against his; their skulls made a clacking sound. "You feelin' better? Cool scar," she added, looking down at Applecrumble's handiwork. She sat back down beside Luc and gestured with a tilt of her head for him to join them. Her fur was still burning oddly. "You hearin' this crap? What's the point of us even bein' here? Oh, no, StarClan has abandoned us - give me a break," she growled, eyes locked on the leaders in the tree. "No offence. Your Holiness. Man," her fur was prickling down her shoulders, her voice rising slightly; everything was unsettling her, the absence of Funk and that weird moment with Luc and the leaders wasting their time, "if Aspenstar doesn't shut up I'm gonna go up there and pummel her." DAYCLAN
The tree was looking awfully full and no matter who hard Yuccablossom tried to shrink down to a smaller size, it just wouldn't work. Oh yeah, this gathering location was not part of the elemental forest, so obviously she'd get nowhere trying to activate her element here.
Ah, well. Not today it seemed.
"Hey you, new friends, what Clan are you from, what's your name and what's your favorite color?!" She meowed, totally changing gears as she shoved her muzzle in a random cat's face, "Oh, and what season were you born during? You can learn a lot about a cat based on that, you know." ~ANYONE
SUNCLAN
Soaringlight actually looked forward to gatherings, although not for the reasons she was supposed to as the Priestess Promised of SunClan. No, she wasn't anywhere near the rest of the deputies and instead had nosing her way into a group of Renegade Regime cats. She was getting to where she only recognized a few of them these days and wanted to change that, but also she wanted to catch up with her family.
"Excuse me, do you know where Dusky or Unseenlights are?" She asked to the first Regime cat whose attention she could capture, "I'm their daughter." ~ANYONE RR
MOONCLAN
Diamonddust had been very nervous about going to a gathering. For one, MoonClan historically did not go to many so she was horribly out of practice, 2) this would be the first time she'd left her son alone for so long and and 3) she could hear Ravenstar up there being himself and stirring the pot. She pursed her lips and stifled the motherly advise she wanted to give him about etiquette and diplomacy, but all it would do would make MoonClan look even weaker.
She sighed dramatically and wrapped her bushy tail around her paws. She just wanted this to be over with. ~ ANYONE
SUMMERCLAN
"Wow you really seem fixated on my Ratstar. Do you have a crush on him or something?!"
It was a gathering and gatherings were meant to mix and mingle with cats you don't normally see day to day; however, it seemed Poppymask did not receive that memo. The plump white-and-white had placed herself directly in front of Doefreckle's view with a nasty scowl on her face.
"Just because you're special and undead or whatever doesn't mean you have a single chance with my man!" fox
WINTERCLAN
This was Reapingnight's first gathering as a Warrior and he wouldn't miss it for the world. The young tom walked in like her owned the place and walked up to the very first she-cat he saw, peacocking just a little bit while he did so, "I'm Reapingnight. Who the hell are you?" ~ANYONE
PRIMAL INSTINCT
Louella was there but was keeping to herself. Despite living most of her lives in various groups she'd never once managed to go to a gathering before and to say she was a bit overwhelmed was an understatement. The heavily-scared she-cat picked her place and stayed there, growling at anyone who got to close to her, which was working pretty well until some flea-brain rammed into her shoulder and nearly bowled her over (your cat)
"Watch where you're going, you idiot!" She hissed, unsheathing her claws and readying a strike that she only barely held back, "Next time you bump into me will be your last." ~ANYONE
RENEGADEREGIME
"Hey Miracle, why isn't Funk up in the tree?"
Bliss had insisted on going to the gathering despite the fact that she had only been back home for a few weeks at best. Her fur didn't even carry the Regime's smell yet but she had been adamant. Being here was like a victory to her, she'd hated them before and been so, so afraid, but that fear was all but gone now, especially with her mate at her side. That being said... she couldn't not comment on the missing bengal Nemesis who was supposed to be up in the tree. They had a rather dark history but another victory she'd wanted was proving to him that she didn't need him anymore.... Honeystorm
SWIFTCLAN
"You're Sakurapaw, right? I remember seeing you at Mooncreek, but I don't think we've ever spoken before," A taupe-furred she-cat mewed, sitting down next to the SpringClan medicine cat apprentice as if they'd been friends for years. Something about this she-cat was very familiar and it wasn't just because they'd seen each other in passing, "I'm Fawnpaw, SwiftClan's medicine cat apprentice. I'm also your leader's... grand niece? She's my grandfather's sister, whatever that's called... But anyways... what do you think about this new code they're talking about!?" ѕнαdow✩
Doefreckle levelled his brown gaze on Poppymask with quirked brows and hooded eyes, unimpressed and withering and more than a little disdainful. Sunpetal really had nothing on her mother in terms of obnoxiousness. He'd heard she'd once been panting after Chim; he could see now why she hadn't gotten very far. "Yes, I have a crush on him," he replied, sounding bland and terribly bored. "God knows I love Southern peasantry. I'll try to control my jealousy - he's very lucky to have such a faithful mate." He dipped his head to Poppymask in a dry, acidic show of deference and slipped away, the tip of his tail brushing under her chin. "Heaven knows I couldn't do better. Me." He let out a soft, narcissistic titter, throwing his head back slightly. Jadie

From somewhere in the crowd, one comment drifted across on the night-time breeze rustling the leaves overhead and reached Eshek's ears - why isn't Funk up in the tree? She didn't hear who the question was directed at; her ears just flattened and she let out a low growl that rumbled in her throat, fresh pain flooding her chest. She was offered a slight distraction by an explosive hiss from a she-cat just visible through the crush of bodies. Eshek turned her head slightly to watch her out of the corner of her eye; it was rare that she saw anyone else who looked like her - long facial profile, Siamese blue eyes, short pale fur - but she didn't think anything of it aside from a low fizzle of fellowship that might have been childishly amused at any other time but that now just made her feel tired, like it was too much to dwell on. She scraped her gaze away again.
Poppymask's eyes were always slightly crossed but at the moment they were EXTREMELY crossed because SHE was EXTREMELY CROSSED with this Doefreckle jerk. Her fur fluffed out to its near max capacity which was pretty impressive and her stump of a tail wavered straight in the air with vengeance. She knew she couldn't fight at gatherings due to the current code, but she could most certainly intimidate, which was her present intention.
"Yeah, Ratstar is lucky to have such a darling wife as me, especially since I deal with snakes like you so he doesn't have to. Feel free to lust after him but don't you dare talk or even look at him unless you want to lose a freckle or ten. Do you understand?!"
The manx she-cat stepped forward for dramatic effect which caused her elaborate flower crown to fall over her eyes. She quickly corrected it then cleared her throat and repeated, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?" fox
"I imagine we'll have to figure out the logistics behind actually ensuring there is no abuse happening, but given the rather chaotic series of events that followed the reveal of the last big incident." Jetstar meowed. "Which I feel did little to protect the kits involved, the rule at least gives us a course of action upon such coming to light. And if all agree, far easier to get the job done and get the kits to safety."
Her tail flicked. "Perhaps rather than cats traipsing around camps we could have events to get our apprentices to interact. A way for them to show off their growth and good health... reinforce and encourage proper care of our young as you'd have to put your best paw forward."
Not to mention apprentices often had loose tongues and it'd be a lot easier to glean something like kit abuse from them talking to their fellows.
"I understand cats concerns about traveling around their borders, and I believe it is fair for clans to set their own boundaries and limits. I know the only ones allowed on SpringClan's land are those who have forged an alliance with us. They have an open invitation, anyone else, as Aspenstar must wait on the border. I believe we don't need to ordain any limits outside of preferences."
"But I think alliances could open the door to at least allow for cats to cross borders if need be." Jetstar meowed. "At least. As long as they're in effect."
