ITSOKTOCRY » open : random thread « thank discord bot for this random thread that is so fitting with his past two thread of running into danger xD "Thread Idea: rescue a rogue in need of help"
Enigmaheart was thrill seeker a bit like a certain grandfather he never met but thankfully not to the same degree of extreme, still this tom had the idiotic recklessness to charge head first into anything. He's throw hands with bees if it weren't so ineffective, he'd cross borders to help a cat or save a drowning kit - almost fitting faith for some reason decided he was going to come across an outsider in need of help, dare even say even a rescue?
Enigmaheart could've sworn he heard a noise - he was at the edge of MoonClan territory so anything could've been out there ... He started to run towards the sound because that mystery wasn't a threat, that was a promise of excitement as far as he was concerned.
"A MoonClan kitty cat has never once run toward me with such a hopeful expression on its face...."
The voice speaking had a sort of sing-song quality. Her entire statement seemed to be delivered on one light and airy breath, only pausing in a couple natural places, so brief that it was easy to miss. Green eyes were the next feature Engimaheart would notice, they were sharp yet soft, a gentle seafoam green to match the muted tones of the she-cat fur, splotches of white, gray and pale ginger.
Her claws were unsheathed but her stance was not aggressive. It seemed she was nonverbally communicating, Hey I'm ready to shred you if you push me too far but I can also play nice.

"Huh?" the tom looked around - where was his danger, his excitement, his rescue I mean 'rescuee'. That wasn't a word was it? Enigmaheart found the owner of such a gentle voice that called like a siren or so he hoped. Her relaxed demeanor did not spell the adventure he was looking for, even with those eyes and claws that clearly displayed capability. He straighten up and seated himself at the lack of immediate doom.
"Yarepawn - of what clan?" he ignored her question at first, assuming her name to be clan-origin and trying to determine if he had seen her before which he was certain he had not. "Oh, Enigmaheart." he finally processed the other sentence of hers.
(btw it's yaw-ray like a ray of light or this vid)
Yarepawn's scent did not contain any traces of any Clan. At best guess she was a rogue but her name and knowledge of the Clans suggested otherwise. She sized up Enigmaheart just long enough that it was beginning award, smiled, then evenly meowed, "I'm one of the Chosen, daughter of Foxstar and Deal, returning home from a mission that will surely someday spell the downfall of the wicked Moon Goddess. Since I've been gone for so long I figured it was a good idea to scout a bit before returning home, you know, do some recon."
The dilute calico she-cat took a step toward Engimaheart, her eyes narrowed, equal parts dangerous and alluring.
"I know leadership shifts as often as the stars in the sky. Tell me, is Foxstar still leader in SunClan, or did my darling kid sister finally step up and become the High Priestess?"

"Well, this wicked leader is telling you to go on your damned way and get out of here." A rather large Maine Coon emerged from behind the Shadowhunter. He had suffered at the hands of SunClan for long enough, so he would not tolerate a cat of his own clan talking with them. He stepped between his warrior and Yarepawn. "Enigmaheart, do not open your mouth."
"Oh, MoonClan has a new leader too!? Last I knew it was some twerp named Maplestar. She was a lot less threatening than you are, of course. The big puffy mane of yours is very impressive," Yarepawn didn't seem even slightly alarmed by this tom's appearance. If anything, she was happy about it! MoonClan had always been secretive so it wasn't very common that a SunClan cat got to speak with any of their upper management. At least, that had been how it used to be.
Taking a step forward, she short-furred she-cat bowed her head in a rather sarcastic show of respect, her jade green eyes glinting n the low light. She was definitely up to something, "As you overheard, my name is Yarepawn. Now please introduce yourself."

(gotcha wink wonk)
/ daughter of Foxstar / That's all he needed to hear to know how serious this moment became for him personally at least, course he was a petty boy.So she's just another daughter of the one my mother tried to kill. If it wasn't for her tyrant of a mother his family and whole life could've been different. He wasn't even a religious cat, he didn't really care about the Moon Goddess half of what his family did but that Foxstar, he split his family when his parents had to leave DayClan because of that fox-face, no good lint licker. MoonClan gave his parents a home and one more chance to be a family but she still took that away and murdered a mother who just kitted and he was suppose to be lucky he and his litter escaped the bloodshed to even be here today - he knew MoonClan and the Goddess meant so much to his family and mother especially but damn, if they were worth anything - if any of these clans maybe they should've collectively murder that Foxstar a long time ago. No wonder StarClan was joke at the last gathering and someone was dumb enough to let a mass murder be a leader again. Not that was going to tell this random she-cat anything. He knew he should've been leading a happy life and not one of revenge like his father tried to teach and his mother probably would've wanted- but the line of right and wrong was feeling so blurry in moments like these. He heard Ravenstar's order but he could not contain the boiling rage he wished on this she-cat's family and knew better than most just how much they suffered.
"We're the ones that'll skin your pelt off if you don't get out of here and crawl back to whatever hole you crawled out of." His tone change drastically when speaking this time, if before he had no ounce of a threat and offered a pa to whoever needed it - he was now armed with looks to kill and would gladly fight to the death to prove it. Here she was, dumb enough to wander close enough to their territory - what better chance to rip someone apart if not now? But she wasn't the one he wanted to kill - a part of some conscious in the back of his head tried to remind him of that, as far as he knew she wasn't the one who murder litters of defenseless kittens or the one that took Daylight/Asphodel away. No who even was she if he never even heard of her till now? If Lily could get away from Foxstar then surly even at his worst if he tried to hurt this Yarepawn to get to her, Foxstar wouldn't even bat an eye. Would that she-cat even care if she died? he didn't know but that was enough to make him pity her and cool the irrational volatility of the deadly look in his eyes.
(hrnghh they would make such good naturally rivals cause their parents i already love it and the possibilities♥)
Yarepawn's smile deepened and instead of padding away she took a few quick steps forward, her whiskers brushing against Enigmaheart's for a second before she leaned her head backwards, fully exposing the plush white fur of her throat mere inches away from his fangs.
"Are you really going to do it?," She purred, pressing her neck against his, "Skin me alive? For what, passing through? MoonClan must have changed a lot since I've gone to be taking a page out of SunClan's code..."
As she spoke her eyes shifted to Ravenstar, more curious to see what he would do than the tom she had pressed herself up against. Toms like Enigmaheart were easy for her to figure out, not so much the Consul.

His expression only harden as she came closer, just begging - his claws would take any excuse to sink through and stain that pretty, pale fur a nice shade of vibrant, scorning red. Those words, did she have any idea who she was talking to? A golden child of his 30 somethingsiblings or at lesat out of his litter gave him more than assurance and confidence to go through with any plan he dared to set his mind to - no matter how foolish or likely it was to set him on the wrong foot with a dangerous cat, he was just as strong-willed as the next one. Claws itching to draw blood, he swung an annoyed paw hard at her throat with a 'get out of here with that shi- dung' attitude. #throatpunch lel Claws surprisingly retracted...
Just as soon as Engimaheart lifted his paw, so did Yarepawn, pressing her toe beans against his with a surprisingly amount of force for such a slim figure. At any rate she did give him back his distance, so in a way the MoonClan tom won this challenge, although the cocky smirk of Yarepawn's face suggested she considered herself the victor.
"Careful, you wouldn't want to start a war," She teased, knowing full well SunClan would likely never learn of her death is MoonClan simply buried her. Everyone at home likely considered her dead already... but these cats wouldn't know that, "I mean no harm, I just wanted to chit-chat. I guess that's too much to ask of a couple of MoonClan toms. Seems to be the rumors I was raised on are true."

The black and white tom narrowed his eyes at her quick defense, he really would've love to heard her violently cough and choke on air like a floundering fish out of water. She might have been putting the space between them but he got the sense it was not her backing off, he didn't what game she was playing at but he had no fear for someone who was still toying with them even at a two-vs-one situation. Was she really that bold or just plain dumb? Maybe this apple fell far from the tree after all.
/ you wouldn't want to start a war / "Ha darling, you must not know anything about me." the wry, wicked smile was happy to toe-to-toe with her cocky smirk as he took forward to help prove it, "Starting wars just runs in the family" it was hard to resist admitting starting a war - why that would just be proudly following in his mother's footsteps and made him crave inflicting rivalry against her and disgrace of a clan. "I don't care what you've heard, isn't it just like a psycho to distract herself with rumors and delusions instead of facing the facts?" he exaggerated his smile even more before -in stark contrast- dropping it. "Cats like you disgust me, you skate by on the kindness of others when your bloodline should've been eradiated long ago - I don't have a single flea to give to you and I'm not gonna let you so much as set a paw on my land without making sure you answer for it."
(chanting: kiss! kiss! i mean rivals! rivals! yea lol)
"Oh ho, sounds like someone's got baggage," Yarepawn was not phased in the slightest by Enigmaheart's short tirade, if anything she was smiling ever so slightly deeper, "Not surprising given our Clan affiliations. Did my mother kill your whole family or something? Sounds like something she'd do."
The dilute calico cast her gaze up to the sky and tsked before returning her attention back to the MoonClan toms.
"I had probably get back to my group. I wish I could say that meeting the two of you was a pleasure, but it really wasn't," Yarepawn purred and actually padded toward the two toms. She picked the pathway right between them as she made her way back from where she had come, which actually wasn't toward SunClan's territory.
Enigmaheart just narrowed eyes are her comment, to be fair he had no idea who this chick was till now so he shouldn't be surprised she didn't know one of the countless enemies her mother made. In fact, maybe he should've use that information better for his advantage but hindsight is 20/20 and Enigma wasn't sure this one was up to be easily manipulated. It didn't seem to be her style to be on the puppet side of the strings.
/ She picked the pathway right between them / Enigmaheart made a point of snubbing her attempt by closing the distance between him and Ravenstar with a sneer to dare her to somehow walk in-between them and make it out in one piece. It didn't even have to be towards MoonClan territory but he'd be petty enough to do it anyways to remind her not to forget this audacious meeting and it went both ways; he was burning this she-cat face and name on his bucket list right under her mother's name. Some cats were afraid of confrontation, but not this tom and rebuffing cats was nothing new with his attitude. It would probably benefit him to learn some ..more gracious manners but then he wouldn't be Enigmaheart now would he?
Ravenstar mostly tuned out what the she-cat had said, but more due to sheer anger and all sorts of other negative emotions that he let crowd his mind on a daily basis. It took his clanmate's motion to draw him back into the present, and he also took the moment to close the distance between them to block her path. "Not going to happen, you're going to come with us. I'm sure your clan wouldn't miss you for too long, hmm?"
"Strange, a MoonClan tom has never once invited me to hang out before," Yarepawn purred, taking a pawstep back and pivoting to walk by Enigmaheart's side in the same direction she had originally been walking, "But I'll have to take a rain check. I've been gone too long as it is and some of my subordinates get ancy if I'm gone for too long."
He growled and shoved Enigmaheart over with a quick shoulder bump. "Well, my subordinates would love to meet you, and I'm sure yours could stand to wait for a little bit."

The fact that she still willing to walk by his side and be so annoying about it was grating on Enigma's patience as he considered if it worth taking another swipe at her or blowing her off this time. He was hardly listening to her to catch her comments on 'subordinates' he watched her movements with narrowed, hostile eyes that were slowly losing their fire because this was getting boring- / He growled and shoved Enigmaheart over /
Enigmaheart's eyes went wide with surprise at that, partly uncomfortable to shoved at (and letting him be vulnerable at) a potential hostile enemy and in general got pissy being used like that when he could have at least used a heads up on the other's intentions. Enigmaheart wordlessly, caught himself from falling over and turned face to Ravenstar with the clearest 'excuse me, what the duck was that?' expression that demanded his attention and could easily forget about Yarepawn over. Some days him and Ravenstar could be on the same wavelength and really get along - right now was not one of those moments.

"Sorry, I'm having a hard time reading the room here. Are you inviting me to hang out or are you going to try and throw be in the looney bin?" SunClan cats often referred to all of MoonClan as the looney bin but, in this instance, she was referring particularly to the prison she assumed they must have, "You are both giving me very mixed signals..."
And then the shoving match began which only cemented Yarepawn's theory that they wanted to hang out. This was typical of toms around a pretty she-cat like herself - pushing each other around to establish dominance. Ravenstar was clearly the top dog, er, cat here, but Enigmaheart was far more likeable if you asked her.

Enigmeheart was too irritated to listen to the conversation anymore and too impatient to wait for Ravenstar to notice, (or rather Enigmaheart felt he would probably just ignore his staring) so to skip over the part of waiting patiently for the tom to question aggrieved glare he spoke up, "Do you want to try that again?" a hushed growl in reference to the push, as if it were possible to actually do it again - more like just acknowledge it happened and that Ravenstar was in the wrong and Enigma was giving him this one chance to validate an outspoken 'we good bro' less he turn into a drama queen over the petty action. stardance
