Loveletter hadn't had the chance to talk to his father much, if at all, before. Honestly, it was probably never before, to the point anyone could wonder if they were ACTUALLY related, or he was just some random cat Fia had presumed to be one of Autumngossamer's at this point.
'Good' news for Lovesmitten, but the tom was obsessed. Absolutely obsessed with his father(?). Which meant that when Lovesmitten woke up, instead of Autumngossamer laying next to him, Lovesmitten was simply sitting in her place. STARING AT LOVESMITTEN WITH A CREEPY SMILE.
