Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Rabbitkit cocked her head slightly and stared at another kit's tail. The blue-point Balinese pounced lightly, a playful gleam in her oceanic turquoise eyes.
Cherrykit yelped in surprise as she felt something snag her tail. "Watch it!" she hissed at Rabbitkit, checking to see if her tailtip had been severed in her usual melodramatic fashion. "Don't they teach manners in this Clan anymore...?"
"Nah," Rabbitkit replied flippantly, gaze still twinkling with mischief. If her adoptive mother, Swiftheart, had taught her anything, it was that play was essential. And this was play. So she figured she'd be making her mother proud. "But they do teach how to have fun!"
"...I..." Cherrykit's eyes widened as she was momentarily lost for words. "...You've got me there," she admitted, casting her gaze downward. "Still, I think our definitions of fun are a little different, Rabbitkit."
Cherrykit's eyes narrowed. "For you, maybe," she murmured, yawning. "But me? My tail hurts. And I'm not one of those weird cats like Peachstar who thinks pain equals pleasure. The best kind of fun is the kind you have together," she replied, and after a brief moment's hesitation added, "...so naturally, how about we both have a little fun and pounce on someone else's tail together?" Someone would probably have a sore tail for a few minutes, but at least it wouldn't be Cherrykit.
