Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar looked down at her two clanmates executed by the Janus. She wanted to bury them on DayClan's land, which meant she couldn't carry both or would have to do this one at a time unless she got help. She had left trying to get help for her clan and when she came back they were dead. The problem was the ground was technically too hard to bury them so she'd have to leave them in the snow and hope it would preserve them enough so when the ground softened she could give them a proper burial... She figured she'd do it the old fashion way and cover them with rocks so predators wouldn't find uncover them and that could help.
It was hard for an anarchist like her to understand. Her clanmates followed them like sheep, wanting something better, but didn't look around at the signs and got killed. The cats in SunClan followed the Sun God and Foxstar who they truly believed were good when really neither of them were. She knew all of this going in, but after a while it became aggravating how blind everyone was. Maybe it was because in the league nothing lasted forever. Every great leadership became toppled and the next one rose up and same thing. There was no such thing as glory and greatness because on a long enough timeline everyone dies, even a God.
Glowstar forced her head and shoulders underneath one of the bodies lifting him up and looked back at the second body, there was no one to carry him and SunClan may just get fed up at having a dead DayClan cat around and bury it on their land themselves before she could get back to it, "Well this sucks..."
Peachstar winced as he caught sight of Glowstar heaving around one of her Clanmate's bodies. Like her, he hadn't been around when they'd been executed, but he'd seen their bodies before she had. Prior to seeing Glowstar, , his thoughts on the matter consisted mostly of oh god how horrible with a bit of well at least it wasn't SpringClan mixed in. Now, it was even more depressing - if that was even possible.
"Let me," he said, padding up to her and lifting up the second body. "I...Sorry about these guys," he offered lamely.
"I knew Russet since he was a kit. He's practically an apprentice, he just became a warrior a few moons ago," Glowstar said, her head almost turning to look at the cat on her back, but instead she looked ahead instead of daring to look at him, "They're not here anymore but. They would have wanted their bodies to be buried in DayClan. I know I'd want to be buried at home with my family if I died."
She looked sadly at the other cat, a more full grown warrior, but still just as important. Looking back at the cat everything began to feel too hard. In the league she didn't care about anyone. Everyone had a life expectancy of zero and everyday was a miracle. It was easy for everything to feel so perfect and happy there when your only optimism was staying alive by the hour. Here things were supposed to be better, she was supposed to be good enough to protect everyone. Instead she let them down. These cats didn't know they were going to die, they thought they were going to have a family someday, they believed in her that things were going to be okay.
