Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The time of day was night far after many warriors had been done with their duties. Whether they were hoping to find romance, flings, someone to have kits with, or are already disappointed by the turn out and want to go home the two were there and now it was time for conversations to fly. They only had 10 minutes and three partners to choose from so it’s best to ask and answer all the right questions to get to know the other.
Each speed round had a separate area for the two cats to talk. This particular speed round was inside of a den that appeared to be butterfly themed. The floor of the den was blanketed in a rainbow spread of wildflowers. Butterflies fluttered in and about from the flowers to the den walls. The butterflies seemed especially friendly to the two cats in the room.

The brown and white tabby she-cat felt her hazel eyes grow wide seeing the beautiful butterflies float within the den. Springing in Innocentwish lightly and carefully walked among the flowers batting the butterflies with her paws but not touching or damaging them. She was so mesmerized by the butterflies she for a moment she forgot why she was here in the first place. Turning to the date that was here with her the warrior bowed her head slightly. "I am so sorry I got lost in the moment there...I'm Innocentwish. From Springclan! I'm looking for someone who would be interested in me. I mean worse case scenario I just make a friend but who knows! Anything is possible. What made you want to do this stuff? Looking for someone to just hang out with?" She gave such a warm smile it seemed infectious to almost anyone who saw it. Cleaver

Ghostcrown was already feeling uneasy, his stomach twisting with nerves, so when there was the flutter of butterflies outside of the den they were supposed to be in, he couldn't decide if he should laugh or cry. Going out on a date was equal parts terrifying and thrilling, even if he was just dipping his toes in with a round of speed dating. At least his partner seemed up to the challenge.
"Nice to meet you, Innocentwish," he greeted with a friendly smile and nod. "I'm Ghostcrown, I've been living with SwiftClan for the past few moons. As for why I'm here... honestly? I had a hard time a bit ago and I'm trying to work on myself, be happier, you know? And I thought someplace new, like this, was a good place to start. Not the most endearing answer, but I can be charming, I swear." Ghostcrown grinned, and he did look oh so handsome. "But what brought you here? What are you looking for?"

"Well it sounds like this was a big step for you and I honestly respect you did this at all. Some cats would rather drown in their own sorrows unable or refusing to try to find their happiness. I understand it, but to find a cat trying to get past his own painful boundaries to better themselves...to make themselves happy is truly a huge accomplishment. Even if we end up leaving with no interest in dating one another I do already have respect with what you are doing. Glad to have met you at the very least."
A butterfly landed for a moment on her tail before she swished it in a tickling reaction. It instead floated for a moment above them before landing on her head which she seemed to not have noticed. "Wellll I would love to find someone who would like to date me. Not into flings, but even if no one wants to date me at least I possibly made new friends and interesting experiences that I learned!" She gave a small smile as another butterfly landed on her. Once again she seemed to not have noticed that the top of her head was now a resting spot for two butterflies.
Ghostcrown blinked at her, surprised by her tender words but warmed all the same. It had been difficult to pull himself out of the pits he had fallen into, and for a long time he had been on the verge of giving up; the only reason he hadn't was because his daughter had re-appeared, alive after all. With that burden of guilt eased, he was more prepared to take on the world. The journey still wasn't easy, but he was enjoying trying new things and working on himself. He hadn't really focused like that since he was young.
"That's a good way to look at it," he meowing, stifling a purr at the display on her head. The butterflies didn't seem as interested in him; he wondered if they could sense his unease or if they just disliked his inky black coat. "I don't know if I'm entirely ready to be a part of something serious, but I don't want a fling either. I suppose I don't know what I'm looking for, I was just hoping I would walk into it by luck. But if we're going to consider this," he paused, that felt a bit strange to say, like going on a date was a formal proposition, "you should know that I have kits. They're grown warriors now; two live in SwiftClan, two live in SummerClan."

"Ah I have never minded kits in the least, even full grown ones. I guess you could say I am a rather...simple cat really. And of course I also don't want you to feel like you have to do this, feel pressured into doing something just for the sole fact that it seems right. You'll know it in your heart. That sounds easier than what it is of course, but I guess that really it matters what you want and at your pace. I won't twist your paw in anyway if you don't wish to do something." She gave a smile as she added, "But again I do think you know you want something, but just aren't sure what that something is? Slow and steady is the way then. I don't mind slow in anyway."
To Innocentwish the tom was truly a wonderous cat. She could tell he had lived a life with a lot of twists and turns. In a way she wanted a mate but...she also wanted to help. Help this obviously sweet guy if she could. Not so much out of pity but rather she could see what he clearly could not: he wanted to be loved, deserved to be loved, but just wasn't sure about anything. He was slow, hesitant, and that spoke more words to her than what he had said. Even if in the end they couldn't be mates...she would be happy in the end to be his friend. The she cat thought though he was going to be a perfect mate. Maybe to her or maybe not, who knew? Only the stars above perhaps.
Ghostcrown was not sure he trusted his own judgment anymore -- he had made some hard choices in his life, and he still wasn't sure they were the right ones -- but he chose not to voice that thought. It was darkness he wanted to keep inside, a demon he had to defeat on his own. No one else could make him believe in himself, so no one else needed to know he had doubts.
"I hope you're right," he replied, dipping his head, "and I do want to try. I'm not being forced into doing anything." He smiled back at her. He definitely wanted to take things slow if they were going to make any progress at all. His days of rushing into things ended when EarthClan fell. "Why don't you tell me more about yourself? I think that's enough about me for now. We can start with why the butterflies seem to like you so much," he suggested with a little laugh. "Do you have any family?"

It was after he said something now she realized the butterflies around her. Innocentwish moved gently so none of the butterflies would be spooked and fly away. "Maybe it's just a quirky knack I have, never noticed it before but I have always thought butterflies were really cool. Very pretty not to mention useful for flowers and other plants. As for myself...I couldn't tell you. I don't remember anything from before joining the clan." The warrior gave a small shrug. "It sounds more terrible than it is really: I just showed up one day and they allowed me to join. I couldn't tell you where I came from or who I was before I joined Springclan but I'm happy with who I am. I'm not super sad about losing my memories mostly since I can't miss something I don't remember having. Uh if that makes sense."
