Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The time of day was night far after many warriors had been done with their duties. Whether they were hoping to find romance, flings, someone to have kits with, or are already disappointed by the turn out and want to go home the two were there and now it was time for conversations to fly. They only had 10 minutes and three partners to choose from so it’s best to ask and answer all the right questions to get to know the other.
Each speed round had a separate area for the two cats to talk. This particular speed round didn’t take place in a den or very far from the meeting grounds, in fact it came with an activity. This activity was a scavenger hunt, they needed to find something red, something new, and a frog, which might be easier said than done, but would also prove if the two work well together or not.

The Janus looked at the list in front of them feeling some confidence that they would find these items. This would be totally easy...right? Guess it all depended on how competent this guy was. Getting to her paws she looked the other in the eye but gave a kind smile. "Lilypool of Sunclan, know if these things are immediately near or within reach of us where we are at or are you uncertain of this area too?" Her blue eyes shone with both curiosity and intensity. pao
Amberbird had snuck away from WinterClan on the idea that he was going out herb hunting. Now a scavenger hunt would aid in that lie. The shy tom had merely wanted out of the clan that was holding him hostage to teach their medicine cat and to maybe run into some family. So far there hadn't been but there was still hope. "Am-Am-Amberbir-Amberbird." It took a moment of stuttering to finally get the words out but he never once made eye contact with the ore forward cat. He had no idea about this area and thus no idea about the items in question. The grey tabby shuffled in his seat, anxious and now wishing he hadn't come.

She looked at the tom in confusion but cleared her throat. "Amberbird is your name? Nice to meet you." The white and grey she cat tried to come off as a bit warmer in hopes of making the other cat less scared of her. "Uh what made you decide you wanted to join in on these activities?"
Amberbird shrugged, he wasn't about to tell anyone he was being held captive by WinterClan or that he'd come from WinterClan at all. He'd made sure to roll in a patch of mint he'd happened upon on his way here just to try and hide the scent of the mountain clan from his fur. He was a prisoner, nothing he was proud of. The dark grey tabby's eyes darted up towards the cat before him, a SunClan cat, definitely up there in his least favorite clans group, right next to WinterClan. SunClan had been a problem clan for moons, even when he was a kit so to be before one now, was terrifying. The tom couldn't help the shiver that came through him, causing him to shake, as he glanced away from her. "Sh-shou-should we st-start?"

Lilypool blinked then shook her head. Most cats seemed to have this reaction to Sunclan cats so Lilypool wasn't surprised. Perhaps slightly disappointed but she wouldn't let it ruin her time. Since things were where they were she decided to try something new. Not like it would make things worse or anything. Walking up to Amberbird she put her nose to his giving it a small boop. "Yes lets start and...sorry if I somehow startled you or gave a bad impression to you about anything. I understand why you're like this...not a lot of cats like Sunclan. I get it. We can make this quick so you can get away from the scary Sunclan cat." She gave him a small playful wink hoping to keep the hurt out of her eyes. She knew this would likely happen but she didn't regret having Sunclan as her home. This was where she was found...where she grew up. It was all she knew and Lilypool loved her home.
Looking to her right she saw something catch her eye. Looking closer she walked over finding something that gave her a small feeling within her...warm? Pleasant? Uncertain? It was hard to tell but out she pulled a small red ribbon similar in size to the one she had when she was found by Sunclan. "Well here we go, something red at least and it was relatively safe...well sort of."
Amberbird was...frozen was the best way to describe it. She'd just touched him, bopped him at that, how was he supposed to react to that?!?! The tom just sat there unmoving and unable to even bring himself to breathe. Dramatic? Maybe a little, but not if you knew him, the tom who at one point was deathly terrified of his own shadow until his sister Seablossom taught him to not be as an apprentice. It'd taken moons for that fear to be resolved, and there was no way a simple bop was gonna solve his fears of SunClan now, maybe even make them worse. Honestly if any cat but maybe, maybe his older sister did that to him he'd still freeze. Probably not as bad but it'd still happen. Eyes wide, fur on end, the tom wasn't even breathing as his head screamed "abort! Abort!" Amberbird wasn't taking in anything anymore and had completely missed her walking way and finding their first item.

The she cat turned to notice that the tom seemed to be petrified. "Uh...are-are you going to be okay there?" Was he that afraid of her...or of Sunclan? The Lilypool gave a small sigh padding over to him. "I can see this isn't going to work out now will it? Okay, I won't push you on this... I respect that. You can go ahead and leave. I promise I won't stop you or bother you anymore. It was nice meeting you even if it is only a one sided deal. I can see that...well we have a reputation huh? Heh could be worse and we be like Primal Instinct. Doesn't matter. Go home Amberbird, you look like you are about to have a heart attack." The white and grey Janus turned her back to him hoping that if he didn't see her face maybe he would get the strength enough to safely go home rather than be frozen solid in fear.
Lilypool toyed with the red ribbon curious if had she been elsewhere would he still be afraid of her? She didn't regret living in Sunclan as it was the only home she knew. She had been treated well there making close friends and having a high position in the clan. Maybe with some work she could help turn things around. Maybe help make her home look less scary and more hospitable to others. This date had been a bust however it wasn't all that bad as she got to learn new things. Just another page in the book... another day where the sun rose and set...but not wasted.
