It had been a full week since the Regime and DayClan had combined forces to lead a strike on WinterClan when they threatened Glowstar's daughters life. Unfortunately Commander Shule had been caught during the war. Then only a day later two DayClan cats were found out to be traitors, Dirtydivinity and Lionpaw who had led Glowstar into a trap, caught by WinterClan.
There had been a long stretch of silence until this morning when WinterClan cats informed DayClan and Renegade Regime of a mandatory gathering that would be between the three clans to tell them their fate. However. Soon after the WinterClan warriors approached DayClan and the Regime a second cat had come by to the two clans urging them to not follow any of Wintrystar's orders no matter what she threatened. That peace would come so long as neither of them gave in to WinterClan, but the cat offered no further explanation.
The meeting was located in MountainClan's gathering place which was a large tree in the center. Atop the limb of the tree was Wintrystar and between her Glowstar and Commander Shule, but neither were as free as they looked at a distance. Their necks were tied by a short vine and their paws were wrapped up just as tightly as their necks to keep them still. It was clear that Wintrystar's plan was to shove either leader off the tree to be hung by the neck should either clan act out.
DAYCLAN
Tigerlily walked into the gathering, the tip of her tail curled in anticipation. Maybe this was a god sent that Glowstar would be executed, anything to avoid the consequences or more importantly the evidence of what happened on her latest patrol. Her cold gaze looked for comfort hoping to find that Snowthorn had followed along. After all, maybe they could find some revenge. Happy or not about Glowstar's demise, fact was that Lionpaw was a traitor and that reflected badly on the both of them.
RENEGADE REGIME Superior Sean walked in with an uneasy feeling seeing his mate and sister placed in such a helpless position. They were fine... Probably. Okay, feeling that his mate and sister were fine when he was literally staring at their execution just showed how messed up his life was. But this just happened on a regular basis with this family and somehow they always got out of it. Unless that one time where DayClan got enslaved by SunClan so y'know not out of the question...
WINTERCLAN
Lionpaw's fiery gaze watched as DayClan and Regime filed in. He didn't particularly like betraying his grandmother, but DayClan was weak, yet they lived in such a pleasurable land. WinterClan deserved what they had and DayClan deserved to be given more of a purpose than just playing. Now they could become workers out in the field hunting prey for the Wintrystar army.
WinterClan Dirtydivinity had known it was wrong… but wrapped up in her grief of finding out the news of Smolderingcomet’s death and threat of loosing her mother had driven her over the edge. Really the choice had been made for her, the moment she had received the message… Bring Glowstar to me, or I will execute Dottymask… The moment Glowstar was taken, she had burst into tears unable to say anything but ‘please forgive me’ as DayClan’s leader was surrounded. She hadn’t known what Wintrystar had planned, nor that it had all been a lie. She had yet to even see her mother since her return, and now Glowstar was up there on the precipice of being killed. She hadn’t known her long, but Flowstar had shown her kindness that few had, and the young she-cat look led petrified of the whole thing. Hunched over, eyes downcast, ready for her own punishment for staying away from WinterClan even after she had awoken
RENEGADE REGIME Commander Shule, for her part, sat tall and quiet, stoic as usual with a cold expression on her face. Not an ounce of fear, refusing to let WinterClan get such satisfaction, or make the general members of the Regime fearful because their leader couldn't keep it together, despite the obvious threat to her own life.
DAYCLAN Vixenkismet was going to kill Wintrystar. The only one who got to kidnap and attempt to murder Glowstar was HER. She'd heard the cats words about not giving in to Wintrystar, and while she wasn't certain she could trust this feline, well, Foxbane had no intentions whatsoever of giving in to anything the she-cat wanted. In fact, once she spotted the vines, the ex-Priestess had full intentions of taking them off of Glowstar and strangling the WinterClan leader with them. Shule, by contrast, she couldn't care less about.
Yuccablossom, as acting leader of DayClan, looked more nervous now than she ever had in her entire life... which was barely even at all. Her fur lay smooth and shiny, her feathers - anarchy and peace - were firmly affixed behind her right ear, swaying slightly in the cold breeze. She shivered for a moment but held her head and shoulders up high, unafraid of what she was facing even though she really should be.
"Wintrystar, this game of keep-away is getting pretty extreme, don't you think?" The immortal council she-cat's eyes flitted over Glowstar and Shule before resting unflinching on Wintrystar's cold, hollow gaze, "You let them both down and I promise we'll leave peacefully. There's no need for further bloodshed. I think I can speak for all of us, even you, when I say we've had enough of that already."
RENEGADE REGIME
"Yuccablossom does NOT speak for the Regime," Havilah asserted, stepping up next to his tortoiseshell cousin, a look on his face full of annoyance. Despite the fact that numerous cats outranked him, the auburn-furred tom had apparently decided to play Commander, "We have not and will never forgive cruelty. WinterClan has committed sins that not even their stupid Lord Borealis could justify and the only way they can pay for their actions is with Wintrystar's head. Only then there will be a chance of true peace between us."
WINTERCLAN
Sinfulatrocity peered at the DayClan cats anxiously. Was Foxtrotter here? After scanning the crowd a few times, however, she began to relax, he was absent and thus safe. In many ways, breaking things off with him had broken her. She'd stopped fighting her WinterClan abusers, stopped traveling to other territories, had totally given in, all for the sake of protecting him. The thought of meeting him on the battlefield after going through such lengths would have crushed her.

"Shut up and listen, you stupid Forest cats!" Reapingpaw growled, his gray fur standing up on edge, "Wintrystar didn't summon you all to bargain with you. She is going to tell you how things are going to be from here on out and if you have a problem with it you can die like your pitiful leaders."
DayClan Yuccablossom was in an unenviable position, Rubyflame wouldn't have begrudged her if she had struggled in the face of this difficulty. But she was impressed with how she stood unflinchingly in face of Wintrystar's threats.
The anxious ginger and white she cat on the other hand stood at Fang's side pressing against her mate, trying not to either shake apart or devolve into a stupid fit of fury that would be unwise. Honeystorm
Mysteryleaf felt like she shared a part of Tigerlily's failure. She cared not for Tigerlily and Snowthorn's 'reputation' but, she had clearly failed Lionpaw. She hadn't figured out what had happened to Sweetiepeach, she'd let down her son to where he'd gone and betrayed DayClan now, and one of the cats she'd wanted to help rescue from WinterClan, had betrayed them too.
Perhaps Mysteryleaf's judgement just really was that bad, and it made her stomach sink like a rock. How could she have gotten it all this wrong?
So sorry for the delay. been unmotivated thanks to working overtime at work. Got even more of it this week thanks to some training days for our new system.
WINTERCLAN Wintrystar was proud of her son for being bold enough to speak on her behalf. He was foolish to do so, but she was proud to see him acting fierce as she'd drilled into all of her kits. "Quiet! I called you here so you may have the chance to pledge your allegiance to myself. DayClan and the Regime have shown that they are weak. They allow demons to run among you and poison your clan," her eyes roamed over Blazingbluejay, cured of her demon and yet the reminder that she'd been one was still there. "You follow weak leaders who lead you into battles you can not win. The mountain is ours! We struggle for it, we survive on it, we thrive on it! Where you were foolish enough to attack us on our home terrain. You know nothing about the mountain, and foolishly think you have any say on what happens here. Bow, pledge your allegiance to someone better than you, someone who can show you true strength. Not to these two," she waved her tail to indicate Glowstar and Shule, "who fight pointless battles, allow demons to roam unchecked, and show no progress in strength." She knew of DayClan's lifestyle thanks to her reports from Lionpaw, how easily they lived their lives when others struggled to survive. It was sickening. In her eyes, the Regime had also grown soft, for it had once been a true terror of the lands. Now she has both leaders at her mercy. Pathetic.
dragonheart was shocked she didn't want to bow to this pitiful leader. she didnt want to work for or live with someone who had to use fear as a tactic to win. "if there so strong why dont they just fight us" she thought to her self. she made sure her feathers were safe as they dangled from her right ear, if a battle did breakout she didn't want to loose them. she looked over the sea of cats from all three clans and was shocked, she never realized how many cats were there.
WINTERCLAN
icetail the massive white tom looked at his leader. he didn't know what she was doing but knew it was for the best. he noticed a bunch of cats from the other clans starring at him. "I know others see me as intimidating but i didn't think i could scare a bunch of other random cats" he thought to himself. he new he wasnt all that scary but if others saw him as such the thats fine.
"DayClan doesn't negotiate with cats who terrorize our peace," Glowstar said firmly, but unlike Commander Shule she didn't have multiple lives to spare. If Wintrystar chose to shove her off the tree to hang by the neck that would be it for her.
RENEGADE REGIME
"You took our cadets who weren't even battle trained and made them work to the bone, starving and humiliated. We would never bow to you to be given that kind of treatment on a daily basis," Loelia said, keeping her head held high, but being short fur her shoulder shuddered slightly from the cold.
WINTERCLAN
Gardeniapaw watched warily, she knew her mom. No one told her no and got away with it and when that happened... Her gaze scarcely glanced at the vines fastened around the leaders paws and neck. They would be done for fast.
WINTERCLAN Wintrystar frowned at the lack of responses, especially the ones of loyalty to her. "Very well then." She'd show them what a lack of loyalty to WinterClan would get them. Enchanting mint eyes narrowed at the two beside her, the leaders of these two clans that dared defy her, before settling on Shule. "You need a demonstration of my seriousness I take it. So be it. Watch as a take the life of one of your precious leaders." The Sovereign placed her paw on Shule, giving a shove to knock her from the branch and hanging her from the vines. Or at least, that's what was supposed to happen. Fury raced through her as she looked at the place where Shule should be hanging and dead.
Shule tipped over the edge, falling to what would mean certain death. She could feel the fine pull taut, but instead of darkness creeping into her vision as she died.... something else happened entirely. Rather than the Commander losing her life, the vine itself gave in, breaking away somewhere between where it had been fastened to the branch, and where it lay around her neck.
She fell to the ground, rolling upon impact, the vine loop around her neck still there, tight, but when the white pawed feline rose to her paws, she was able to tear it off, and Commander Shule tilted her head back to stare at Wintrystar, the remnants of part of the vine in her claws. "Well it seems like I am still very much alive, Wintrystar."
"Looks like someone's plan is crumbling," Glowstar said in a sing song voice as she crept closer to Wintrystar, "You're not as in control as you thought... So here's what's going to happen. You're going to leave my family alone, you're not going to torment Blazingbluejay's family any longer, you're not going to kidnap innocent Regime cats who got lost. You're going to be respectful to the Regime and DayClan. Because right now, you have no leverage and it's two clans verse one, the balls in your court Wintrystar."
Wintrystar was surrounded. She’d called this gathering between the three clans and had thought she would walk out triumphant, but someone had betrayed her. The vines were weakened and now the tables have turned. The Regime and DayClan have surrounded the WinterClan cats, showing dominance in this moment. Even Wintrystar knew they were beat and would have to accept it. As infuriating as that was, the she-cat knew it would have to be done. Admitting defeat was not something she was happy about a bd when she learned who the traitor was she’d rip them to pieces herself. “Fine.” Her mint eyes gazed around her, from one clan to the next then from one leader to the other. “I’ll agree to your terms. WinterClan…” She paused, gritting her teeth in her anger at the situation before continuing, “WinterClan will acknowledge these terms and follow them.” By no means was she happy about it and the traitor in their midst would it dearly when the Sovereign found them, but she would do as needed to as the leader of her group. Their plans were foiled, and the control was now in the Regime and DayClan’s paws. She only hope they would not take her from her position or over take WinterClan as slaves.
