ya boy is dropping out of here… for now
When I brought up the start of the opinions on less clans thread, i wasn’t expecting it to blow up the way it did. As the thread went on, I was flip flopping back and forth on leaving or staying once it was over. I thought once I became an RU, things would be different. but i'm just not sure
Yeah so i compromised with myself and i’m taking a break
I’ve talked a bit in pms since things calmed down, so this part won’t be very long. For the last time here, I regret what I said and all I can do now is offer my apologies and an explanation in private. I don’t know how obvious this is or not, but I’m very sensitive about the way people perceive me; and I’ve felt I’ve lost the agency or ability to try and talk to people to potentially change that. Or even in general. It’s been a very isolating week, and the longer it went on, the more I knew I needed to step away. I hope no one will feel the same way I have on this site.
I don't know now how long I'll be gone or if I will come back. I appreciate all the friends I've made these last 2 years. You all know who you are and my discord will stay open to you. I won't be deleting this account, just in case.
Now for the killing of all my characters. I know some of you will say this is unnecessary, but if I come back, I'd like a blank slate. I also wouldn't want plots to become in limbo because people aren't sure if my character is dead or not. Please respect my wishes if I killed a character that was a mate or family member of yours. I love all of my characters so much and they’re all special to me. I also ask that you don’t name a character after Funk.
Characters that can be readopted out: Astralkit
The Fate of My Characters
Goldenphantom - with the supposed death of Fia, Goldenphantom began to throw herself into more dangerous and dangerous situations to feel like Fia was still there. The final time was when she made a poor choice and found herself against a pack of wolves. The only evidence of her fate was a shredded Protection feather
Princecharming - an actress to the end, it’s of no surprise her death was pretty dramatic. After the patrol with her siblings, when they made it back to camp, it was discovered that her spine had been snapped by her siblings falling on her. With her back legs paralyzed, Princecharming quickly fell into a depression in her isolation in the medicine cat's den. One day, she quietly asked Brakewings for some deathberries. When Brakewings declined, she had no choice but to wait until night came and she could steal them for herself.
Smolderingcomet - the life of the party, he drank a little too much grape juice at the Swiftclan party. While stumbling his way back to Dayclan in the night, he couldn’t see very well ahead of him and fell into a ravine. His body was found by a Swiftclan patrol the next day, who had to break the news to Dirtydivinity that he failed to keep his promise to come home.
Flickeringvixen - the more she researched the rabbits, the more she realized that there were so many different types not even seen. And they had to live deep in the slowly thinning forest. What drove her that way was a mystery. Perhaps she had one final fight with her siblings or Gleamingpaw. It’s unsure, but the patrol that went there found her in the most beautiful yet grotesque display. Behind her mangled body was a burrow of angora rabbits, who finally accepted her in her last moments alive.
Ravenisland - Her fight with Lionpaw went worse than either had imagined. Maybe she couldn’t understand, or would fail to understand why he did what he did. When her voice broke and she couldn’t cry or scream anymore, she stomped off childishly. Just like always. But when a day went by and she hadn’t appeared again, concern grew. It took them several days, and the help of her crow chick to find her half drowned body over by the White Tree. An oddly content look on her face, as the chick pulled on her fur to wake her up.
Anemoneshade - Life was looking up for Anemoneshade. Finally, it felt like she was able to rest and get the happiness she deserved with Naturalgift and their family. But Anemoneshade was always a poor hider. When out hunting, she ran into a group of twolegs that were touring the volcano. When she went to hide under a tree, she was found and captured. The twolegs muttered something about there being a lot of cats around lately with a huff. Anemoneshade never got used to kittypet life, as she stares wistfully through the glass doors that never open.
Sunnysmiles - Sunnysmiles didn’t want to die. She didn’t want to leave Nightfury, the second to do so. But she never really recovered from the fire. The infection under her fur kept spreading, and every treatment only stopped it for a short time. Though even in her dying moments, she spent them as she did the rest of her life. Comforting those around her. She passed surrounded by her loved ones, promising this wasn’t a goodbye, but a see you later.
Peppermintkiss - Peppermintpaw thought he was invincible. It’s the same folly all sorts of teens go through. Directionless for so long, he’s finally starting to grow into his own. He wanted to take on the world, but maybe the world feared him. And that's why that cave caved in. That’s why he couldn’t survive what his parents did.
Vantanoir - Even after the disappearance of his mother and brother, Vantapaw kept working. Going back and forth from Sunclan to Moonclan. Perhaps it was their disappearances that made him work himself down to the bone. On a walk back one day, he took a rest under a tree near the Nightclan border. And then he never woke up.
Undeadecho - His head injury came back to get him in the worst way possible. Somehow he managed to live so far even with forgetting so much other than his own name. He wanted to be a scourge, a rebel. He didn’t expect to wake up one day to the mutilated corpse of a rogue next to him and him covered in blood. Nothing he said to the rogue group was able to sway their minds, and he was put to death for the murder. Whether he actually did it or it was a set up from the higher ups will be lost to time.
Abaddon - She was the character that could command you to jump, and you would without hesitance. Every sense of familiarity was ripped from her, and while she would say it didn’t bother her, it did. Tired of being left behind, she silently left Moonclan like several of her family had. She was seemingly too larger than life to die. Yet when they woke the next night and found signs of a struggle and black and white fur strewn about, they presumed Abaddon dead and silently left the scene.
Ravagedreaper - He originally came to Moonclan in the hopes that they could cure him of his curse. A mistake on his part, that he knew would ultimately get him killed. Ravagedpaw just didn’t expect it to be immediate, snuffed out by a Moonclan cat after they witnessed his shadow kill a bird. It was all part of the order, yet the blood spilled was vibrant with the red of youth.
Celestialroar - Finally returning to her birth home, she thought she’d have a chance to start over. To forget and move on from the mistakes of her past. But her lungs swam from the water she inhaled, not fully flushed out and causing her to lose her balance and fall from the tree she was climbing. Her sword was found under her, too dull for it to penetrate the flesh.
Fawnhysteria - Summerclan became his home, but there were some things he would always end up missing. His desire for the absolute worst cat-manity led him down the road to meeting Quietmeadow. And those that meet with them rarely make it out alive. As in everything, Fawnhysteria was no exception.
Rabbitrun - It took a lot to pry Rabbitrun away from Jayjack’s side. In her warped mind, he was the only one she could trust even though Fallclan offered her nothing but support. No matter how warm the bodies of others were around her, she’d freeze to be with just one. It must be why she left in the middle of the night, searching for that heat only to meet the cold grip of a bear trap.
Maria - She intended to stay. To live out the rest of her life with her brother and his family at her side. But the wild kept calling to her, and its voice was loud and booming in her ears. She couldn’t resist it’s calls for long, not even when the winds howled of something deadly. Maria has not been seen since, and no sign of her life or death was found.
Blackthornfate - Blackthornfate was old, and tired. The new Winterclan breathed a life into her she didn’t expect, but it was as exhausting as it was exhilarating. It was addicting in a way she never expected. But when a deep and wet cough worked its way through her lungs, she isolated herself back up the mountain. She could still take care of herself, that’s what she told herself on the eve of a chilling blizzard.
Heavenlyarctic - Oh poor Heavenly. She was unfit for every life given to her. She couldn’t live up to her family’s expectations, couldn’t leave the mountain without looking back at it every day, couldn’t even be a good mate for Lionpaw. When the pair finally made it back to Winterclan, and she heard the news of her father’s death and mother’s eventual execution, she couldn’t handle it and ran out of the camp. Not even looking where she was going until she was face to face with a hungry fox. All she could do was tremble, not even having the strength to lift a paw to defy her fate.
Funk - the cat known as Funk leaves Primal Instinct in Regulus’ care. He never wanted to care for the clan, but he believes that it will be in good paws with him. He makes a pit stop on his trip to Dayclan to see the old mansion one last time. This is when he reminisces and makes one last poison. It was more lethal than anything he had ever made, and he was confident he could handle it.
Lorelei Manina - A living legend in the forest, and unknowingly the first to perish. The news was not a surprise to Primal Instinct. Lorelei had always been Lorelei. Wild, free, unable to let go of the past while also forgetting it. When she saw the lizard with the multicolored tail, she thought herself lucky with a smile. When she went to chase it, she was so blinded by the colors she didn’t see the truck coming.
Venti - His work as an enforcer kept him busy. As the changes in the League began to take shape, he had every intention of changing with it. Though initially lost without Funk, he strives to keep going without him. It all fell apart though when he found himself against some very aggressive loners. His words fell on deaf ears, and he was beaten to an inch of his life. Somehow, he managed to make it back to camp, only to be suffocated on accident when the Shaman tried to save him.
Evangeline - With the loss of Innocentia came the loss of Evangeline. Who was she if not a force against the once proxy? She had built this entire persona around the past, around others, that once it was gone, she just felt hollow. She couldn’t even look at the city, smell the asphalt and blood without gagging. It’s why she willingly sat by animal control, barely blinking when they picked her up. Not even her purple ribbon was found, it became the perfect accessory in her new life, acting as a chain for the life she could never leave behind.
Nereus - I forgot about him. But he probably gave everyone all his shares of food because he thought he could handle not eating and accidentally starved himself. Too hospitable.
Rosalia - Their shed in the junkyard was starting to come together. With wild colors everywhere and a mess of metal and plastic on the ground. Even after the destruction of the college classroom, they’ve started to move on thanks to Felix-kun. But when approached one day, the shack is found to have been crushed under a new pile of trash.
Kassandra - Things were supposed to be perfectly balanced. Black and white muddy into a mix of grey. Though I suppose that’s how it should be. Kassandra’s demise was as simple as simple could be. She had taken an older building as a hideaway to think in. By the sea, she could listen to the waves and the crackles of fire as the little wooden building was set ablaze with her in it. There was no way for her to avoid the dissipation of the colors.
Luca Vellicorpse - Even under Dayclan, the Scouts worked tirelessly to feed the growing Regime. While everyone was receiving some sort of scout training, those that were already raised Scouts were more efficient. Everytime a piece of prey got snatched up, Luca would go and catch another. It was what was needed to keep the machine going. As they got more and more desperate, he ventured further, trying to escape the monsters rattling in his mind. He went too far and trespassed on Sunclan territory, where he was surprised and killed by a passing patrol.
Huntleigh Eerie - It’s hard to say if Huntleigh would forever stay perpetually unhappy. Each rise had its own fall. Even getting handed revenge on a plate felt nauseating. When Shule was captured by Winterclan, he accompanied the clan back, while secretly looking for ways to sneak in. Even if help was offered, he would have refused. That’s just the kinda guy Huntleigh was. He wanted to prove himself, to his grandparents and to his father. He didn’t expect the second fall, for one of the tunnels under Winterclan’s territory to cave in while he was in it. His body was never found, and he now rests in the place he hates the most.
Tundra Silvius - this guy? Who cares? He died too. It’ll probably get referenced by the hero when they go to fight the villain.
Dawnfrost - She never considered herself very remarkable. Whenever someone chatted her up, Dawnfrost would feel her old habits come back up and her tongue tied itself. Every attempt to right herself was met with confusion. When she finally was going back to Swiftclan after spending time with Cygnus, she didn’t expect that someone else had caught her in their sights. And the stalker quickly made sure she couldn’t scream for help.
Dandelionfleece - No matter how many times she was told to be careful, Dandelionpaw would always throw herself into whatever was ahead of her. Her cheerful yet bratty attitude was only eclipsed by the string of vanity she had. One day, she couldn’t take her eyes off of her reflection in the water. And she wanted to meet it desperately. And she did, they were finally one when her body bobbed back up to the surface of the ocean before being washed away.
Beastsrefrain - His life was on the up and up. He honestly couldn’t believe how happy he was; with Satinlights and his family. The deaths of Dawnfrost and Dandelionpaw hit everyone hard, but not as much as Beastsrefrain did when he found the cat that killed Dawnfrost. Huddled over her body with a mix of giggles and sobs leaving them. Washing away the blood, he felt a mix of relief and dread. He never wanted to admit he felt the most alive when killing someone. Grabbing Dawn and preparing for the walk back to give her a proper burial, a bitter taste rolled down his throat, completely unaware the body had been laced before it was too late.
Pineapplebreeze - Swiftclan had made Pineapplebreeze complacent. Looking at herself, she couldn’t believe how much she had mellowed out. When she heard of Princecharming’s passing, it was Swiftriver that comforted her. When she suggested going on a walk to clear her head, Swiftriver offered to walk with her. And when that blasted fox ran towards Swiftriver, Pineapplebreeze didn’t even have to think before shoving her mate out of the way of its jaws.
