[so cute XD] Lionpride, chuckled. Side stepping the kit as he went wizzing past, it was a lesson he would have to learn eventually. Yowling and running straight at your target wasn't very effective. It was cute though, and it made him even more proud of his son if that was possible. How passionate he was. It would searve him well, and would do everything in his power to keep him this way "Try again"

Impossible! He dodged me? Assertivekit came skidding to a halt and flung himself around to look back at his dad. He was so sure that would be enough to take him out. It worked decently on his siblings 50% of the time. Well, when they weren’t looking. A little miffed by this turn of events, Assertivekit was still confident he was on the right path. He could still impress Lionpride and claws crossed, maybe even win this friendly spar.
He didn’t yell this time, but the tactic was virtually the same: a full-on charge at the warrior. However, this time to make up for his first failure, he put even more speed into his run. But head down and eyes closed, he didn’t notice the exposed root until he was tripping over it and tumbling wildly across the ground.

Lionpride readied himself to side step out of the way, but he spotted the kit falling from a mile away. Instead of moving out of the way, Lionpride moved forward. Scooping up the young kit before he could his the ground and cradling him on his for-leg "You almost had me, if it hadn't been for that pesky root" he mused, praising his son even for the sloppy attack. The goal today was to give him confidence, and build him up rather than true teaching "he licked Assertivekit's forehead lovingly "You are going to make a wonderful apprentice!"

"Really? I did good!?" Assertivekit wondered after a few small groans. That fall had sort of hurt and he sent a quick glare at the offending root before beaming up at his dad. "I mean, yeah! I almost had you for sure and when I'm an apprentice, you're not gonna stand a chance! No one will!" He laughed at his own words, imagining how awesome his prediction would be if it came true. When it came true. He was going to be the best warrior in SunClan some day!
