Lostelm had barely interacted with the kits of SummerClan, but he knew the scent. Panic started to set in, why was this little one all the way out here? Was someone stealing kits from Fallclan?! It wasn't his clan but he still didn't condemn the act! "Why is there a kit all the way out here?!" He rushed to find the little, possibly scaring it in his hurry. But he was worried, and panicking at the thought that a kit was in danger. It wasn't right for kits to be out of camp, and in his time as a warrior for SummerClan, one hadn't escaped camp to go wondering so he didn't even think of that as a possibility.
Meanwhile, Blueflame had picked up the scent of the kit as well. She couldn't understand why a kit from FallClan was out this far, and then she smelt the SummerClan patrol. "Bramblepaw, hurry!" She hoped her kit understand and picked up the scent as well, it was only for a brief moment though. The wind had shifted, bringing the scent towards them along with the scent of the SummerClan patrol. If Bramblepaw hadn't caught the scent as well, then she'd be a little surprised when they found the little one.

“Well, training has been really great actually! And I get to go on all sorts of dangerous missions. Like not too dangerous, but you know. I’ve also made some friends and-“ Bramblepaw’s words cut off at her mother’s sudden change in mood. Why’d they need to hurry all of a sudden? She wasn’t about to question Blueflame though, as she ran alongside the warrior. The only thing she could really smell was SummerClan cats, but she didn’t understand why that would be so worrisome. They were right next to their border after all. The scent of the kit was completely lost to her, seeming too familiar to question but also too out of place to believe. “What’s going on?”

Redflame raced along side of Lostelm leaving Fisherpaw and Ravenmask to bring up the rear. Movement caught her eye and she saw a small kit moving through the brown weeds of Leafbare. "Over there!" she meowed to those with her. Then to the kit she called, "Hey you! Stop running! We mean you no harm!" The last thing she wanted was for the kit to hurt himself by falling in a hole or running into a fox or some other predator.

Basilkit squeaked loudly the cat's calling out to him only making him run that much faster. After all he though the FallClan patrol was close by enough, and if they hadn't been alerted before they definitely would be no "Leave me alone" he wailed his heart pounding in his chest as he saw some bushes up ahead. He darted through the thick foliage, his small size allowing him to slip through very quickly, as he kept running hoping it would keep them busy long enough for him to hide. Only the ground beneath his feet had begun to change, slowing his pace as the rough asphalt hurt his pads. It was warm, but it smelled terrible. Then a loud roaring filled his ears, the young kit spinning around to see something shine barreling towards him.
He looked from side to side, panicking when he realized that all of his cover was now gone. He lout out a shriek of terror, huddling down and closing his eyes as the monster went rumbling on past him. He could feel the wind whip around his fur and the ground shaking below his paws as he froze shaking

Seeing the direction the kit was running, Redflame shouted out a warning to him but it did no good. She saw the kit head directly for the thunderpath and then disappear in the bushes. "NOOOO!" she wailed when she heard the noise of a monster speeding along the path. She cautiously stuck her head through the bushes bordering the path expecting to see a flattened kit squashed on the the hard black surface.
Fisherpaw came beside the crimson furred she cat. "What'll we do?" he asked. This patrol was the first time he had ever seen a thunderpath and heard a monster. He had listened to the stories told about them when he was in the nursery but he never had given the stories much credence thinking monsters and thunderpaths were made up myths. I was SO wrong! he thought.

(yes there's kind of one. It made up of Lostelm, Fisherpaw, Redflame and Ravenmask. You're welcome to jump in with a SummerClan cat if you'd like. psst Whitemuzzle Blueflame is supposed to get hurt by the monster, but I can edit mine if that works better. I'll figure some other way for her to get hurt)
Lostelm followed after Redflame, allowing the other cat to take the lead. He didn't have much interaction with kits and was afraid he'd spook the poor thing and cause it to keep running. In the distance he could hear rustling, the tell sign that there was someone else there. Someone not of their patrol. But he didn't care in that moment, his concern was on the little kit before him. He froze at the sound of the monster though and the thunder of the path. He received a flash of a memory, one he couldn't truly remember but knew only brought pain. He stay there, paces away but just within eyesight of the terrifying thunderpath, frozen in fear.
Blueflame hadn't stopped running, leaving her kit in the dust behind her. Spotting the small bundle rushing through the bushes, she'd quickly given chase. Her main goal was getting to the kit, figuring everything else out could wait for later, once the little one was safe and out of harms way. But then she heard it, the roar of a monster on the thunderpath. Her paws hit asphalt and didn't stop. Her baby blues locked on the huddled down kit. The warrior ducked her head enough to grab the kit, she held on tight and closed her eyes, praying tehy made it across the path in time. They didn't. The monster struck her back hip, sending them sprawling across the asphalt. Blueflame howled in pain, jaws still clamped tight around the kit's scruff, muffling her cries some. They laid in the middle of the thunderpath, the monster continue on its path without stopping. Quiet eloped them, but she dared not move. The warrior panted as she slowly released the scruff of the kit, asking in a calm, motherly voice, "are you okay?" She cared not for herself, but the kit before her as any mother would.

(Oops! Sorry. I edited out the part about Ravenmask in my previous post.)
Ravenmask came upon the thunderpath just in time to see a monster speed by leaving two cats laying on the road in it's wake. It didn't matter to him that they were from a rival clan. The bigger enemies right now were monsters. In an instant, he was on the path running toward the two victims. "Hurry, you have to get off this path before another monster comes!" he meowed urgently to Blueflame. A quick look and listen told him they were safe for the moment but he knew that could change at any time. "Lean on me for support." He hoped she'd be able to get to her feet and walk. Spying Redflame on the verge, he called to her. "Come and get this kit while I help this other cat." The crimson she cat dashed onto the road to offer aid.
(I just realized we have a Blueflame and a Redflame in this thread! ^^)

(no worries! also yea I realized that lol the irony. two flames, just different colors lol also it's funny we've definitely gotten away from teh plot some lol with how things are going down compared to how we thought it'd work out) Flurryofstarsracer
Blueflame struggled to her paws, one laid limp on the ground as she used her front two to push her self up and attempt to move. Her back leg, the whole back hip really, was in too much pain to try and move, but she had to try. Least she get hit by another monster on the thunderpath. Her baby blues looked for the kit, knowing she had to make sure they were okay first before she could do anything, or all she'd done was for nothing.

Basilkit was petrified, shutting down and curling up to make himself as small as possible when suddenly teeth sank into his scruff. The sent of the thunderpath was to strong for him to be able to figure out who had him, and at the moment he didn't care that it was a stranger. He began relaxing into her grip when suddenly they were both send spinning, his paws skidding roughly across the hot pavement and leaving a few open sores. He yelped, his sides heaving unable to answer the she-cat even as she spoke so gently to him. He swallowed hard, his mouth dry as he looked around frantically as another strange cat appeared to help his rescuer.

Redflame stopped next to the frightened kit and quickly noticed he hadn't suffered any bad injuries. "We've got to get you off this thunderpath before any more monsters come back." With the overwhelming scent of FallClan assailing her nostrils, she picked the kit up by his scruff and carried him back over to the safety of the bushes. "There," she meowed to the kit after she set him back on the ground. "You're safe from the monsters here."
"Here, let me help you," Ravenmask told Blueflame as he tried to assist her back on her paws. He ducked his head under her shoulders to help give her support. Feeling small vibrations in his paw pads galvanized him into further urgency. "I think another monster's coming," he meowed. "We have to hurry."
Blueflame hurried as fast as her injured body would allow but they were nearly too late getting back across the thunderpath as another monster came racing down it. This one was slower and seemed to be slowing down and even moving out of their way as they crossed. But that didn't stop them from hurrying across the path and to safety. Once there, her paws gave out on her, exhausted after the stunt she'd pulled and the hit she'd taken.

Bramblepaw took a while to catch up to Blueflame after she'd been left behind. She might have tripped on a twig or two along the way. She heard the howl of pain just as she reached the thunderpath and not a second later, saw her mom sprawled out on the asphalt, injured and lying next to a kit. Mom!? Everything that followed happened in slow motion and no one seemed to notice the apprentice standing somewhat hidden behind a group of ferns. She barely processed that she was even there too, but once she realized that Blueflame was alive and well enough to walk (albeit with a limp), she finally snapped out of her daze.
"Mom! Are you okay?" She called after carefully crossing over to them. She was so, so worried, but a prickle of anger itched just beneath her skin. How could her mom be so reckless!?

The black and gray Red Guard warrior looked back at the thunderpath as still another monster sped by throwing it's foul scented wind through his fur. "Let's go through these bushes before one of those monsters decides to chase us here on the verge," Ravenmask meowed. He figured the bushes wouldn't be much help in stopping a monster but at least the monsters wouldn't be able to see them and know that they're there. Won't chase what they can't see, he thought. He followed Redflame who had picked up the kit again and made her way to the other side of the wall of vegetation.

Lostelm reacted once tehy were back across the thunderpath. He was snapped out of it buy the sight of the little kit coming towards him in the brush and the rest of the patrol following. He snagged the kit up, keeping it from taking off again and getting into further trouble. On shaky paws, he followed the rest of the group further into the woods and away from the dreaded thunderpath. The elm brown tom worked on autopilot, to shaken from reliving that...dream? nightmare? memory? to know how to react or what todo. He awaited further instructions, the scent of FallClan kit invading his nose and somewhat hooding the scent of the thunderpath.
Blueflame purred in an attempt to comfort her daughter. No matter how much pain she was in, and she was in enough that her vision would blur every step she attempted to take, she would still try and comfort her daughter first and worry about herself last. It's what you did as a mother, took care of your kits first, no matter what it meant for you. "Help me up would you, Bramblepaw?" She could use the help of having two cats assisting her as her hip felt worse with every passing moment.

Basilkit struggled in the cat's jaws, his fur still standing on end rom the frightening experience and now being held hovering over the ground by some stranger. At least they didn't seem to be mean, they had got him away from the evil monsters. He held onto his little four leaf clovers closing his eyes and saying the words of the good luck charm that his mother had taught him

"Of course!" Bramblepaw mewed. Her anger quickly faded into guilt as she padded over to her mother's side, offering herself as another support anchor for her mother to lean into. She shouldn't have needed to be asked though and glanced bitterly at the stranger on Blueflame's other side. She knew the logical reaction would to be appreciative of the SummerClan cats. They were being really helpful as it was, but the apprentice just wanted them gone. Even the kit, which she now recognized as one from her clan, set her on edge. None of this would have happened if he would have stayed in camp like he was supposed to, but she clenched her jaw to keep from saying as much.

Fisherpaw followed closely behind his mentor, not wanting to get in the way of any cat. Although these cats were from a rival clan, he didn't seem to mind their presence here on SummerClan territory.
Redflame approached the injured cat, concern showing on her face. "We're safe now," she meowed. "You should rest here for a while." An idea came to her but since Fisherpaw was Lostelm's apprentice she thought she should ask him first. "Do you think Fisherpaw should run back to our camp and bring back Graythorn?"
After Redflame had finished speaking, Ravenmask turned to face the FallClan cats. "Now that the monster danger has past, what were you doing on SummerClan territory in the first place?" His tone carried a note of authority but his stance was relaxed. He could at any moment however, jump into action if necessary.
Lostelm nodded his head, body stiff as he tried to reset himself after his....whatever you want to call that. "Yeah, that...that'd be wise. Should...should I go with? To help carry supplies?" He was out of his depths, unsure how to react in this instance as he'd never dealt with this kind of situation before or any border issues yet to truly know what was expected of him. The tom, kit settled between his paws, eyed the group, body tense and ready to move but awaiting for Redflames' orders.
Blueflames frowned, both form the pain and the harsh accusation being tossed their way. "We weren't planning on being on your territory. I caught wind of the kit's scent and came running, he's one of ours and I should be the one asking why you have a hold of our kit." Her eyes went to the stiff Lostelm, silently glaring him down as eh held the kit between his paws. She wouldn't say anything, as the kit was safe there for the time being and less likely to take off in fear if guarded. The orange she-cat could tell without as doubt that the kit was terrified, he was all huddled up and shaking. Anyone could see the fear on his face. But the main question was, why was the kit all the way out here and did SummerClan have something to do with that. "I mean no disrespect, but it is odd to find a SummerClan patrol out here and one of our kits. Excuse me for asking, but it's too much of a coincidence to just dismiss." Pain made her words come out in pant, but she tried to be firm in how she spoke, showing she meant business, even if she was hurting.

"Uh, maybe you should stay here," Redflame told Lostelm. She was surprised he was asking her advice with her still being a relatively new warrior. "We don't know how many FallClan cats might show up and want to fight. I don't think we could afford to lose two cats and be outnumbered." She sincerely hoped there wasn't going to be a fight. Then she cringed when she heard Ravenmask speaking.
"Are you accusing us of kit stealing?!" Ravenmask hissed more surprised than angry, although both emotions were present in him. His stance became more aggressive and his eyes narrowed. "That's preposterous! We happen to be in this area because we're investigating FallClan scents on our side of the border. What we'd like to know is why a kit, who's supposed to inside your camp, is all the way out here? Is FallClan planning on expanding their territory and already moving in?"
Fisherpaw was excited at first about running the errand back to the camp until he heard the heated debate. Everything in him now wanted to stay and fight.
