Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Spicekit saw Sunrisekit's bounding, and he laughed slightly. "I'll take Dad's side," he meowed, "which means Sweetkit, you're with ma." Sunrisekit would be a fun kitten to play with, he was sure. She was energetic and probably could do a good job of charging full force to get the stick. Winterpaw laughed at the kittens' enthuisiasm, before looking down at Sweetkit. "Well, to keep teams open, that means we are with Mom?" she meowed, half as a question and half as an invite as she ruffled the fur on her brother's head.
Ecplise, old and nearing his end, work form his nap further back in the den at the shouts of the kits. He'd lived a long life, most of it outside of this clan and many days used those days of his travels to keep the little one entertained whiel Smallfire and Midnightcomet worked. The old black and white tom rose slowly form his bed, bones and joints popping as he does so. Approaching his grandson and great-grandchildren, he asked, "what's going on?" A smile on his face to see all of his family, even if most of them are adopted, all in one place and having fun.
Midnightcomet smiled at his grandfather, giving him a dip of his head as a sign of respect and hoped the kits would remember to do the same. Ecplise was old and worth all the respect the tom could give him, and tried to teach that to his kits as well. Sunrisekit was especially close to her great-grandfather, showing him the most respect she could by dipping her head as well in a mock bow, before racing over to him to nuzzle against him. "We're playing a game, Papa."
Smallfire smiled at the addition of the older tom. She knew how much her mate valued his grandfather, which meant that he was an important cat for her, too. She didn't know him nearly as well as Midnightcomet did, but he was a strong part of the family. Her head nodded deeply in respect, before nodding again to what her daughter had said.
Spicekit was the next cat to speak. After awkwardly dipping his head, he then let out a squeakish response. "You should join ! You can be on my team~" the tom-kit chirpped, before Winterpaw nudged him gently.
"Or," meowed the apprentice, who was more vigallent of the fact that the tom was older and running around might be harder, "we could also use a referee if you'd rather, Papa."
"Oh? What game is it we're playing, maybe I'll play." He may be old but if the game didn't involve too much movement he'd try it. Eclipse smiled at Smallfire and then Winterpaw for her concern. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that Midnightcomet was giving him a look that said he'd rather the elder referee than overdo himself in trying to entertain the kits.
Sunrisekit looked between Spicekit and Winterpaw, a little upset that Spicekit bet her to asking the old tom to be on her team. She understood though that Papa wasn't gonna be able to run around as much, it took him forever just to get from one side of the camp to the other!
