Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For once in his life Earthpaw looked small as the silver tabby curled up in the farthest corner of his cell, facing the wall so he wouldn't have to look at the janus or any 'visitors' he might have. It hadn't been long since the ceremony, where Bloodyrondo had announced his betrothal to Dancingpaw. Not that he minded the pale ginger she-cat, he hardly knew her. The problem was that his so called high priest had decreed it so, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth and a sickening feeling in his gut. It was hard to agree with anything their false leader said these days seeing as Earthpaw's father and grandmother had been thrown in prison along side him. He hadn't spoken to either of them since. The days seemed to drag on down here, he had no idea how long he had been in prison, what he did know was that he refused to speak with any cat who came to see him. Those who walked freely among Bloodyrondo's new SunClan where all traitors in his eyes.

Dancingpaw stood just outside the prison with round eyes peering cautiously into the mouth of the den. Her stomach was doing summersaults at the mere thought of going in there, with traitors and heretics, but she'd come here for a reason. This was where her betrothed currently lived and no matter how reluctant she was to be around the prisoners, she would make an exception for one. With a heavy sigh, the ginger feline padded inside. Ignoring her surroundings, she trusted her nose to lead the way and soon, she discovered the large silver tabby curled up in the back. Straightening up at the sight of him, a sense of determination fueled her forward. "Earthpaw?" she spoke in a low voice. What was she even supposed to say to him? "How are you holding up?" Suddenly, doubt was creeping up her spine. What if he wasn't interested in their engagement?
His ears perked, turning in the direction of the she cat's voice. The genuineness of her tone was almost enough to weaken his resolve. At first the tom stubbornly ignored the other apprentice, keeping his gaze fixed on the corner of his cell. As long as she willingly followed and believed in Bloodyrondo she was a traitor to their clan, and by extension his enemy. She didn't sound like an enemy though, rather just a concerned clan-mate who might of actually cared for his well-being. Fortunately for her, she hadn't been thrown into the prisons with him like the other loyalists that got paired off to the members of his family.
"I'm alive aren't I?" he growled after a long stretch of uncomfortable silence. "Why do you care anyways? did Bloodyrondo send you down here to spy on me?"

So much time had passed that she didn't expect him to respond at all. Her paws were itching to move, and right before she was about to turn back around his growl kept her rooted in place. Her ears flattened against her head only briefly as his tone caught her off guard, but then what had she expected? For Earthpaw to affectionately tackle her with joy at her surprise visit? She nearly snorted at the thought, but she knew it might sound offputting out of context. "Bloodystar had nothing to do with thi-" she broke off before she could finish the sentence and closed her eyes to collect herself. Dancingpaw only had a small window of time to connect with Earthpaw, and she knew words like that would only create a gap too large to cross between them.
With a deep breath, she tried again. "I was worried about how the latest news might have affected you." After the arranged marriages had been announced, many of the cats involved had openly rebelled against the decision. To her knowledge, he hadn't. She had absolutely no idea how he felt about all of this and in truth, there was no one else for her to really talk to right now. "And, I wanted to know if you were doing okay in here... Are you?"
