Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She shook her head, "Not for me. I can feel it. My place is somewhere else." She looked at her sister apologetically, her turquoise eyes sparkling in the moonlight.
She shrugged, "I dont know. I met someone though...a Primal Instinct cat. He was nice to me and said he saw potential in me." She touched her sister with her tail, "you will always be my sister and I will always love you."
Pinepaw's fur stood up when her sister mentioned Primal Instinct. "Those cats are evil!" she hissed. "But if that is where you chose to live and it makes you happy then I will be happy for you too." Pinepaw added after a few seconds, her fur lying flat again.
"Don't think he has an ulterior motive in being nice to you?" Pinepaw asked quizzically. "Most cats in the league would kill a Clan cat without a second thought if given half the chance!"
Pinepaw shook her head in dismay. "He didn't this time." she said, trying desperately to reason with Flamingpaw. "But that doesn't mean that he is good. If you ask me all league cats are trouble."
She clenched her jaw in frustration, "Pinepaw. I want to be a league cat. And I will be one whether you agree with it or not. You are not the boss of me" She lashed her tail angrily and pinned her ears back.
Pinepaw stared at her sister, Flamingpaw's sudden burst of anger seemed to have a calming effect on Pinepaw. "I never said I was trying to control you." she stated. "Don't you remember when the league attacked us in our own camp? Killed our Clanmates? if you join the league and they attack again are you going to be okay with killing me or mother or father or even our other littermates?" She asked. "I don't ever want to see that happen. If you don't feel at home here then I understand and I want you to be happy wherever you go, but just think about what I said."
Flamingpaw calmed herself and took a deep breath. "Okay, Pinepaw. Your right, as always" she gave a half smile. "I will think about what you said. I never want to hurt you."
Pinepaw took a deep breath, she didn't want to fight with her sister, if Flamingpaw wanted to leave the Clan then Pinepaw wanted to make the best of the time they had together as Clanmates left. "I bet I can still beat you to the meadow!" Pinepaw said playfully. She loped away into the undergrowth, suddenly realizing how chilly she was starting to get since they'd stopped to have their conversation.
As soon as Pinepaw heard Flamingpaw's foot steps behind her she picked up her pace. There were few things she enjoyed more than a good run. The sudden break in the trees that opened up into the meadow quickly came into view. "We're here!" She squealed happily, her pace slowing down as she reached the tree line.
Flamingpaw wasnt prepared for her sister to slow down and ended up barreling into her. She crashed onto her chin and then sneezed as dirt got up her nose. "Whatd you stop for?" She hissed, rubbing her nose as she stood up.
Pinepaw grunted in surprise when her sister barreled into her and she tumbled out into the open meadow. "I always stop before I enter the meadow! We lose the shelter of the trees and my mentor taught me that since I'm younger and smaller than most cats a large bird of prey or even an occasional fox could easily see me before I see it so now I always stop and look around before I leave the cover of the trees." she explained. She knew it seemed like a mouse hearted thing to do but she really didn't want to end up being carried off by a hawk or something, it just sounded like a horrible way to go.
Flamingpaw rolled her eyes, "toughen up, Pinepaw! See? Moonclan's making you soft." The ginger she-cat flicked her tail and darted into the center of the meadow. "See? Nothings out here to get you!" She called back to her sister.
"Nothings out here tonight! That doesn't mean the meadow is always safe! and I for one do not plan on being taken by some large bird of prey!" Pinepaw snapped at her sister, feeling a little hurt at Flamingpaw's remark and a little concerned at her blatant disregard for safety.
"When was the last time you ate a hawk? They'll snatch a small cat any chance they get!" Pinepaw responded, padding out into the meadow once she knew it was safe.
