Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"DayClan is peaceful we do not participate in dangerous wars against powerful clans for stupid reasons, luckily you fit none of those descriptions. You'll have a war," She said as she strode closer to Wintrystar, but stopped short, Alvah Faris wouldn't have let her get any closer anyways. She smiled at her with a pitied expression, "But I'll promise you one thing, no warrior stays loyal to a leader that hurts kits for long. You'll do more than lose," She promised her.
Alvah Faris watched Glowstar carefully, his cold eyes could have froze her to ice. "No warrior would dare betray Wintrystar, they know those kits are demons."
Her smile erupting into an uncontrollable wildfire of a grin, "Really? So WinterClan would treat people of demonic blood differently? I wonder what they'll do to you when they find out Bluejay is your cousin, that you have just as much demon blood as her. But... I'm sure you've treated Bluejay and her family kindly so you have nothing to fear," She said patting the side of Alvah Faris's cheek before turning tail to move back to her patrol.
Glowstar had no knowledge that Alvah Faris and Wintrystar were an item, her retort was only meant to push fear into her grandson. Her mission to make Alvah Faris afraid worked, not for how his clan would treat him, but what Wintrystar would think. He hadn't wanted to say anything to her. She finally allowed herself to like him, now she was going to hate him! She had been so happy too and now it was all ruined from his grandma.
Windchaser's jaw dropped at Glowstar's words and she turned to look at Alvah and Wintrystar's reactions. Her blood ran cold and panic struck the ginger warrior's heart. "Glowstar...what have you done?" She whispered, still looking at the Winterclan cats. Glowstar just probably ruined her own grandson's life. If Wintrystar didn't know Alvah had demon blood, she sure knows now and what grave consequences lied ahead for that tom that didn't even know himself. If Wintrystar imprisoned queens and separated them from their kits, what would she do to a fully capable warrior? One who could take harsher punishments.
Fia Cendrillon listened as Glowstar spoke, but didn't try to stop her. Rather, she looked to her brother, the anger still bright in her gaze. "You are a hypocrite, Alvah." Her voice was comparatively soft, but as frigid as her brother's gaze. "After all we went through. After being saved by a demon ourselves. You would still condone such abuses against kits." The fury transformed as she spoke, into utter disgust that her brother could just be okay with that. Fia herself wasn't a saint by any means, but she would never abuse kits. In fact, she'd ended up withher litter by trying to keep them safe away from SunClan. "Did you know I can still hear their voices? I can still feel their claws, see their faces in my darkest nightmares." Those rogues who'd hurt her were permanently etched into her pysche.
The Immortal Council member lifted a paw, wiping away an enraged tear that slipped traitorously down her cheek. "I hope you and Wintrystar are happy together. You two deserve each other." She wished her brother's reaction would have upset her as it did Windchaser. But Alvah couldn't have expected to keep things a secret forever, and if he was going to be so absolutely hypocritical, then she had a hard time truly feeling bad. She laid her tail on Windchaser's shoulder amd simply shook her head. Alvah had made his nest when he allowed this to happen to his own family, to innocent kits. Now he had to lie in it.
Windchaser met Fia's gaze when the other immortal council member rested her tail on her shoulder. By Fia's expression, Windchaser knew what she was trying to tell her. She looked back at Alvah with pity. It was a shame that he put himself in this situation and there wasn't anything Windchaser could do. He needed to lay in the nest he made. She really felt bad for Fia and her past. She turned and gave Fia a sympathetic look. "I think it's time we go home. This isn't over. We will find justice for those kits and for Bluejay."
"Did you know I can still hear their voices? I can still feel their claws, see their faces in my darkest nightmares."
You have no idea.
He stared out at the patrol, but every DayClan cat was faceless, no detail, the world around him in a backdrop of grey. There was the sound of the wind blowing, but the pleasant chirps of chickadees were radio silent. He tuned out pieces of the world from every part of his senses, erasing feelings and beings clean from his world. There were few things that mattered to him, deserving of a face or needing to be heard. But even now, he could see Fia's face beginning to blur, he didn't welcome the change. He refused to allow his mind to distort her out from his world... She was his exception.
It wasn't always like this, it started with the daymares. At first it was just when he was trying to sleep at night, twisting and turning, the traumas ghosts and his brain like an old house filled with past horror, his mind was a haunted house. The people, the wounds, his old violent life was gone, but the trauma never left him. He would relive that pain every night, no one was hurting him, but the memories awoke a pain so real in him that only sleep could release him from and into dreamless nothingness. Getting over the emotional trauma was one thing, but he would never escape the feeling, it replayed his mind feeling more real every night. At first it started as whimpers, but soon it turned into cries. The pain only manifested into something more real and raw the older he got. Soon it entered his life more than when he was lying awake in the night, it was everyday activities. Sometimes he would be hunting and the haunting pain would come back to him, he swore it made him suffer more than when he lived it.
There came a tormented point when he would do anything to free his haunted mind from torturing him any further. So he convinced himself to block out the pain, to ignore it, that it wasn't real, it was null, nothing. That worked, but once it did there was no stopping the other things he couldn't recall telling himself to ignore like laughter or crying. By the time faces began to blur he hardly cared, at that point he had just about blocked every feeling from reaching his heart. But he had said he would do anything to get rid of the pain and he had. He wished he could say the pain went away completely, but it didn't.
His ice cold gaze broke for just a moment, a sliver of hurt parted from the surface of his eyes like dark storm clouds revealing a ray of light, but it didn't take long for the frost to conceal his wounded expression. Alvah Faris turned to Wintrystar, "I'm adopted, I doubt Fia is even my real sister." His gaze turned back to Fia, there was no one he loved more than his sisters, it was for that reason that he hoped this was the last time he hurt her. This wouldn't be the last time he would disappoint her, if he could make her hate him it would be for the best.
"We're done here," Glowstar said turning around, there was nothing left to do with a patrol their size against WinterClan, not with kits involved.

She didn't miss the hurt in his expression. And for a moment, she dared to hope he might truly reconsider. Instead, he took her heart, that little spark inside her soul and crushed it. It was like turning off a machine, Fia Cendrillon shuddered to a stop, and the light in her eyes went out. Her head tilted down a fraction, and suddenly, Alvah Faris wasn't looking into an ember gaze of gilded amber, but copper reflections that shimmered almost like still wet blood. "I love you, brother." She wanted to scream, to yell and tell him she hated him. And in that moment, she might not have been lying. But instead, she went with something that would always be true. She'd always love him, even when she was harsh and felt he deserved the path he'd chosen to walk. Maybe one day that love would be reciprocated.
Knightrunner's tail lashed but the dark colored tom had nothing else to add that the others hadn't already said.
He had thought only the likes of the dark hearts of SunClan capable of such evil. But apparently Wintrystar wished to be the new Foxstar, with none of Foxstar's strength to back it up.
He often felt himself struggling to pick a side in conflicts, but in this one, the choice was easy. There was no running from it, because the thought of those kits enduring what he had made him burn. He wasn't a naive young cat being led astray by an enemy leader anymore, he was a warrior of DayClan and he'd do his best to help Glowstar dish out just punishment for Wintrystar.
Windchaser gave one last glare at the Winterclan patrol before following Glowstar, proud of her leader for standing up for herself, Dayclan, and her daughter.
