SWIFTCLAN Mistralpaw couldn't shake a nagging feeling she had about Autumngossamer, but refused to let some gut feeling change the way she treated the soothsayer, at least for the moment. "I'll trust Firetooth to keep himself in line. I think his most recent brush with death has made a believer in caution out of him." Her tone was light, but there was a slightly challenging tone to it, as though daring Autumngossamer to try and lead Firetooth astray.
Turning to Darkpaw, she had trouble putting her paw on exactly what the other apprentice was like. She couldn't tell if she was being catty or kind, which bothered her. "It's not too difficult when you're trained as I am," she replied evenly, allowing just a hint of pride in her abilities to show. "We don't much need to borrow from other clans now that we've got a store built up. It's mostly just to see what herbs are local to that area and what they do. It's really quite a unique opportunity to learn so much more than a normal medicine cat apprentice might."

Primal Instinct FaithConsuelasimplylightlavellan Of course they were late, they always were. There was no need for punctuality for a gathering like this. As his hunters disappeared amongst the other cats like mist, Funk E'tan didn't miss a beat. He wove through the crowd like he expected them to part like the waves for Moses. Course, they didn't, and he might have stepped on a toe or two, but whatever. It wasn't like fodder mattered. Brushing through the group of leaders and an ex leader, he pressed himself against Glowstar, only stopping to give her a quick kiss on the cheek before continuing on. And only giving a nod that was more a tilt of the head to the others she was talking to. Waving his tail to her, he slunk around the rest of the leaders before finally meeting with the other Eerie sibling. Like Funk could tell Sean was thinking about him. "Aren't you past your prime to be up here, party king?" He asked before sitting next to Sean, not a hair or tone out of place to make it seem like he was nervous. The only sign of their previous transgression was the black and white bandana wrapped around his neck.
Jadie "Well, why are you four here?" Lorelei had followed the smell. One that was too familiar and that wouldn't just leave her nose. Having kits run around the gathering was strange, but she didn't expect to see her four bundles here. So young, and definitely confused. Odd eyes looked around to all the gathering and talking cats before turning down to her own litter. The young she-cat let out a sigh and laid down next to them, bringing them closer. "This is why I gave you guys to Vulcan. What is he even doing?" One of them, the one she named Romulus, quickly latched himself to her warmth. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, a part of him missed the cold.

time for t-t-trouble hehehe
SWIFTCLAN strawberrycupid The slight hush that fell over the gathering when the League arrived piqued Tempestkit's interest. She jumped up and down to try and see who it was over the older cat's shoulders and only caught a glimpse of a black and white bandanna. Frustrated that she couldn't see, she growled under her breath and slipped beneath and between the full-grown warriors until she caught sight of the cat inspiring such a commotion. He was a strange looking tom, at least to her, and seemed weird. Grinning when she realized she lost her mother in the crowd, she approached Funk, knowing Heathersong couldn't stop her.
"Who're you?" she asked, clear eyes blinking up at the Nemesis in an almost aggressive question. "You look like you've seen better days. Are you a fighter? I bet you are - look at how muscle-y you are! Oh! You have to promise not to tell Mama that I'm talking to you. Mama said-" Tempestkit's voice reached a falsetto, clearly mocking her mother. "You don't know who these cats are and could get hurt!" She scoffed, shaking her head. "As if any cat here would hurt me!"
The hush was nothing unusual. It felt like a metaphorical red carpet, walking onto a scene where they were feared yet respected. Though they had been laying low, Funk had slowly been moving his pieces. Positioned in such a way where, thanks to his part in the Red Lioness alliance, no one really wanted to touch him. Now normally, he'd be off talking to some leaders or flirting with someone. And well, he was kinda starting that when Tempestkit approached him. His eyes narrowed a bit as the Swiftclan kit started talking. What did she mean seen better days? He looked pretty good. And he was more slender than strong, the only muscle coming from carrying plants around. But as the Nemesis looked back at Sean, he had an idea.
"Me? I'm just Funk E'tan. Great Nemesis of Primal Instinct. Slain an entire clan with my own paws." He stretched out his claws, just a little too close to Tempestkit, to prove his point. But he quickly pulled away and swept Tempestkit along with his tail and bringing the she-kit over to Shule. "Which is all well and fine. But, if you want to talk to a real fighter, you gotta talk to Shule here." As he talked, he stepped away from the kit, lightly bumping his shoulder against Shule's. "Commander of the Regime. I hear she was surrounded on all sides by assassins, in the dead of night, and managed to slay each one without losing a hair on her head. Pretty cool huh?" Funk crouched closer to her level, whispering to her very loudly to where everyone in their vicinity could hear them. "Isn't that right, Shule?" Flashing a grin as he sat up, he cocked his head at her.
Flamingstar overheard her daughter's conversation with the Swiftclan tom. She approached, holding herself with an elegant composure. "Creampuff, dear. I hope your not making Nightclan look weak." She gave a hard, warning glare at Beestripe. "Don't mistake that, young tom. Do not mistake any of our kindness for weakness. If you cross Nightclan, you will make a powerful enemy." She added to Beestripe, her cold eyes boring into his. "I hope I've made myself clear." Although she was calm, it was an eerie and uncomfortable calm. Like she would snap at any moment.
WINTERCLAN Wintrystar gazed around the clearing, her eyes were searching for a particular cat. And there he was, walking towards her in all his mighty glory. She paused, looked away, and fainted disinterest. She'd heard in the gossip circles around camp, that the best way to draw in a tom was to fake disinterest. She'd prefer it as well if the rest of the clan, and the other clans, didn't realize that she was still infatuated with the tom she'd been set up on a blind date with. It'd be better for WinterClan's image as well. But, that didn't mean she couldn't be civil with him. "Thank you. I must say you're looking quite handsome yourself." She chose to remain where she was, uninterested in joining the leaders' circle when she had much better company with the lovely tom from DayClan who'd caught her interest.
FALLCLAN This would be Amberbird's visit gathering since having received his full name as the medicine cat of FallClan. The tom wasn't ecstatic to have the position, but it was his now and he'd do his best. Or close enough to it. Hopefully, no one died on his watch. Spotting his current and ex-leaders conversing, he walked the other way. No way did he want to socialize with his current leader and ex-mentor, as well as the other leaders, deputies, medicine cats. Nope, he was just fine over here in a corner. His amber eyes searched the crowd. Since Frostpaw had come back, following the returns on Applecrips and Crownglass, he'd been on the lookout for his other two siblings. Wildpaw and Greypaw could be out there. Living in a different clan, as rogues, loners, maybe even as kittypets. But he wouldn't know until he looked for them. No better place than to start at a gathering.
PRIMAL INSTINCT Ivory, once known as Ivorycrown of EarthClan, sister to the final leader of EarthClan, and mother to multiple litters who have all passed away. Funk was the father of her last litter, the one before that passed in the Great Flood, the latest, no one knew about. She'd made sure and had split them up and dropped them off in two different clans. Relaxed, the she-cat strolled through the clearing, eyes lazy in their search for someone to talk too. Spotting her younger brother, Amberbird, she was amazed. The tom had grown up, a lot since the Great Flood. That was probably the last time she'd seen him, and she'd known him as Amberpaw, the warrior apprentice then. The ivory she-cat had no idea that he'd become a medicine cat apprentice, let alone the full medicine cat of his clan. She'd heard nothing about her family since the flood. Rumors, but nothing concrete. She paused, unsure if she wanted to go speak with him. After all this time, what did she say? "Hi, I lost my boys in the flood. Oh, and another litter to death." There was no way she could do that. Especially not to tell him that her second litter was with Funk of all cats.
SUNCLAN Flawedperspective spotted Funk entering the clearing and couldn't dare look at him. She was ashamed that her kits belonged to him. But at the same time, she loved her children and wouldn't trade them or the world. The she-cat dropped her eyes and zoned out of the conversation she'd come upon. No idea who was talking or even what it was about, she was more concerned with not meeting Funk's eyes. Autumnglossamer was nearby, that much she could hear. Keeping low to the ground, the she-cat made her way towards the voice of her best friend and fellow queen.
RENEGADE REGIME "Oh, assassins, is that what Foxbane called them?" Shule had intended to talk to Flamingstar, but as it so happened, her soon to be brother-in-law had happened to show up, with a tyke no less. Certainly, given his grin, she doubted it was for any good reason at all that he was doing this, though at least for the moment, the Regime Commander deigned to entertain his antics. "Last I recall, they were some rogue cult who could have been defeated by a sedated kit. You greatly oversell your fiancee's abilities. Unsurprising, I suppose. Did you tell this tyke here that you an Foxbane both managed to lose to me in a fight? Or does that part hurt your pride too much to admit?"
SUNCLAN Ask, and you shall receive. Or, in this case, saying her name was as good as shouting for her presence. The fox-furred ex-Priestess practically swept up to the leaders, sliding up next to Funk just as Shule began to speak, her expression sharpened, and Foxbane looked downright dangerous as a slow smirk spread across her expression. Her tail twined with Funk's, and she leaned forward to Commander Shule, her voice calm and even. "And last I recall, you went after anyone who so much as looked at your mate or kits wrong. Temper tantrum much? Are you a kit, or a Commander?" She wasn't just going to sit here and let Funk weather whatever Shule had to offer alone. Besides, this gathering was too boring as it was. Time to cause some drama. And boy, was Foxbane good at drama.
"What, Nikkohydrangea? No way, we're just really good friends, you know that." Bloodyrondo didn't pick up on Duskslayer's seriousness at all, he was too full of himself, high on his own success and something else. A part of him knew the truth to the other tom's words but he'd always ignored that part of his relationship with Nikko and it hadn't been a problem yet, "Since he's so close to Shadowbard, I'm going to ask Littlestar if the two of them could mentor my kits. I mean, I know he has an apprentice right now, but I'm sure arrangements could be made if Swarmingpaw isn't a Warrior by then. I'd like you to mentor one too, but I don't know if you'll be around enough... I sure hope you will be... I'd hate for them do grow up not knowing their Uncle Dusky..." He paused, a thoughtful look in his celadon eyes, then gave his friend a dazzling smile accented with a hiccup, "I haven't brought this up with Satinlights yet, but I really want you to be their godfather. I can't think of a better tom to look after them if something terrible happened to me or their mother!"
He heard Chimerastar say his name and his attention snapped away, back to the other leaders. Funk E-tan had just joined them, along with Commander Shule. Oh, that's right... Littlestar wasn't here, so he really needed to be part of that conversation, "Look, this is my first gathering as High Priest, even if it's only for one day, I really need to make a good first impression... I'll see you around?"
Casimir followed Romulus's example but bit hit brother's ear in the process, bound and determined to get closer to Lorelei than the other kit. He couldn't really form words yet but let out what may have meant before biting her, too, "Mom!"
Consuela His face fell slack as anger bubbled up within him, thinly veiled behind that smile. Lioningsnarl had never been good at burying his emotions - he'd never cared to - and it took all his restraint to keep his composure. He wasn't going to fall apart so easily, not in front of an enemy warrior. "Oh, you're mistaken. I've been around for a very long time. Maybe you're not used to seeing me because I'm usually mingling with the more powerful cats of ranks like mine," he suggested insidiously, "unlike your common folk. Or perhaps you just aren't as perceptive as you think you are?" As he grew more confident, Lioningsnarl leaned back, a smug tilt to his head.
simplylight @luciferin @ifath1 Brakewings chuckled amicably. "I understand. It must be difficult to stay quiet sometimes," he sympathized, "especially when you need some help with your job." He was glad he had his mentor around still to guide him. His memory wasn't as good under stress as he hoped, and she was always there in a pinch. He glanced sideways at his apprentice, a warning look to guard her tongue a little more carefully, lest she offends Autumngossamer.
"I'm sure I have some stories I can share with you," he agreed, "though I'm afraid they won't be very interesting. My interactions with the other clan have been very tame. They're good cats, underneath it all."
@pao The dark-furred tom explored the gathering slowly, searching for his old SummerClan clanmates. It would be good any of them again, see if they had survived after all their troubles. He was glad he left the clan, but he still missed them. As he explored Crownglass instead found a familiar-looking she-cat, and his eyes widened. "Ivorycrown? Is that you?" Crownglass bounded toward her eagerly. "I was wondering where you ended up!"
Fallclan ConsuelaFaithsimplylight Hystericstar rolled his eyes at the public display of attention, then turned his attention back to Thistlestar and Calamityshrine. He actually managed to hold back a scoff at the mention of Starclan this time around, his mind going back to the experience of his nine-lives ceremony. It had to have been another hallucination, he decided, not for the first time. Bringing his mind back to the present, he merely shrugged, not feeling the need to add on to Cal's explanation. Instead, he answered the previous question. "As far as I'm aware, no one's decided to poison me or anything yet," he said, although really not much of the clan was willing to come close to him. Still, it could be much worse, and he didn't want to unnecessarily worry Cal.
Firepaw was rather surprised that someone had wanted to come up and talk with him, though Harewhisker had looked rather hesitant to do so. He nodded slowly, trying to discern her motives. Had she come to make fun of him? Mock his burns? Before he could spiral into a series of conspiracies against the Springclan cat, Voidseeker had also approached. At her words, he gave a sideways grin, although it didn't fully reach his green eyes. "Don't worry, I'm not going to claw your face off today. Just, y'know, looking for a certain someone." He didn't know how much his fellow clanmate knew about his accident, but his hatred of Fabledpaw seemed to be rather common knowledge, as he really didn't made an attempt to hide it.
Really? The ball game was disappointing. Sure, he didn't expect Shule to crack, but that low a blow, right in front of the kid. Where were her manners? Not that Funk really paid attention to the riffing once Foxbane showed up and sat next to him. He could already feel the chaos brewing around her. And it was all too intoxicating. "Hello, gorgeous." Funk purred, letting their tails twirl together and holding it tightly. "Now, Now, Shule. We know it's hard for you to take the words of anyone but your inbred group of bootlickers seriously, but you don't need to make everything a fight." He chided, definitely mocking as he pulled Tempestkit to his side briefly, "Here I was, telling young Templekit about your heroics against a group that, to no one's surprise, wanted you dead. And you go and throw it in my fiance's face. It's not a horribly good look." Funk shook his head, a few tsks tsks on his lips as he let Tempestkit go. The crowd was gathering slowly around them, curious ears perked. And, as one impressionable young fellow walked up, he got a good idea. He was always a bit too good at disguising his anger, especially as his face lit up again. "But hey, if that's how you want to play. Would you care to remind everyone of the time when a young Sunclan warrior was supposedly looking at your Platformia wrong and you went on to slaughter the poor thing even though it turned out it wasn't even the same warrior? Shocking stuff."

Foxbane's grin only stretched, though her eyes widened in mock horror. "Poor Spineswitch, he never stood a chance, did he? You murdered him, all because your daughter gave a vague description of an orange cat with blue eyes. I think someone needs to put you away for a bit, Shule. Your anger issues are getting out of paw. We're just trying to praise your prowess, and suddenly you're going off the rails to insult us."
Shule, unlike the pair, was significantly worse at masking anger, though in this instance, she simply looked rather.. disgusted. There was a reason she disliked that side of the family, and this was it. She tried to keep peace, but she had limits, and the pair was fast approaching them. Her crystalline eyes were downright frozen, and though her stance was relatively loose for the moment, she looked like she was sizing up an opponent. Any cat with half a sense knew that she was not the sort you wanted to aggravate. These two especially, considering she'd taken a life from both of them before she ever even became Commander. But apparently, they were too stupid to know when to stop.
"For such an obsessive duo, you'd think you'd use what's between your ears sometime. But if you're going to call the Regime inbred, Funk, the least you could do is avoid having kits with your fiancee's daughter, don't you think? Not that Foxbane is any less guilty, sleeping with a tom and then mating his son." She commented frigidly, not explaining how she managed to actually know all that, then again, rumors flew like the wind, especially where these particular cats were involved. "Then again, the bar is so far underground with you two, I'm not even certain it exists. You can't even come up with a sensible enough lie to know my own kits' names. I'd say it's beneath you to use a kit for your own gain, but considering you pair have a history of such, I can't even say I'm surprised."
"Good for him, interesting," She said, putting a small amount of effort to act like she cared. Mistralpaw seemed kind of dry personality wise? Or maybe that was Mistralpaw being passive aggressive? Usually she could totally tell when someone was upset with her, but right now she couldn't guess what was going on in that pretty little mind of the medicine cat apprentice. Instead her attention turned to Darkpaw, now she was interesting. Ambitious, wasn't afraid to say something that cut, it was the kind of passive aggression she could pick up on.
Autumngossamer purred, "Yes, we're known for our ripe drama in the sunshine clan," She boasted to Darkpaw. "I actually only know the basics of herbs, the priestess in charge of mastering medicine cat skills. I'm in charge of the spiritual side, handling the Sun God and all his glory, like that. But I would love to learn from you three sometime, knowledge is a girls best friend, after all." She winked.
Duskslayer tilted his head, "Right," He said unconvinced as Bloodyrondo spoke about Shadowbard and Nikkohydrangea. That was news though, he never pictured Nikkohydrangea being a mentor, he wondered if he was a good one. He nodded reassuringly, "You are the priest promise, if you need me to stay in SunClan longer someday's I will always humbly accept." His pupils magnified across his eyes at being told he would be a godfather, "Bloody I-" he noticed the priest promise's attention turned to the SwiftClan leader, but smiled to himself. In a heartbeat, I'll always be there for you and your family.
Sean recognized the voice, his ears pricked up as Funk E'tan settled down beside him, "Better to look old and be old than to be young and look as old as you do," Sean purred delightfully. Suddenly he was aware of the kit that approached them. Maybe one of Funk E'tans? Oh right, he had to know- er... Wanted to know if Flamingstar's kits were Kotori's. His attention turned back to Funk E'tan only to realize that Foxbane had approached. His fur bristled, the two basically fed of one another's negative energy, piling it on Commander Shule. Sean glanced at Shule, her cool energy spreading to him as he tried to ignore the two and keep his eyes forward onto Flamingstar. Those kits had to be Kotori's right? He winced as his thoughts were disturbed once again by Funk E'tan and Foxbane chastising his mate.
"I think someone needs to put you away for a bit, Shule. Your anger issues are getting out of paw. We're just trying to praise your prowess, and suddenly you're going off the rails to insult us."
Sean's claws swung with such a lightning speed that no one saw them coming as he slapped them across the side of Foxbane's face with such a force it sent the side of her head back. Although it was fast, it only stung, a slap at best. His eyes were teary, he could feel the anger burning inside of him as for a moment he just stared at her in rage. "You stole my kits from my family. Glowstar was going to raise them, but you took the truth from her and now you're marrying her. I would have respect you more if you had the guts to let her go, but you can't because you're a parasite. You have to attach yourself to her, feed off of her kindness because it makes you feel like you could actually be loved. But the problem isn't Shule, the problem is you gave up on yourselves, on the idea you could be loved, to try and be good people. Being a good person is hard, but Shule tries everyday to be a better person. Mean while you two are content staying cruel to the point that I bet it never crossed your mind to apologize to Glowstar for what you did to her with my kits. Did you even apologize for murdering her? At least once? In passing? No. You NEVER once apologized to the person you're literally MARRYING for killing her. So why should Shule feel any guilt towards either of you when you're that sick in the head to never once say sorry. Do one honorable thing in your life and back off of Glow, Fox."
Alvah Faris nodded, "I know," He said in confirmation to her compliment, "... I enjoyed each others company during our last meeting. I find you pleasant, charming, and I think your nose is rather cute. I always have an odd impulse to tap it. I would like to date you, I can provide hunting, strong combat skills, my fearless nature, and a unique ability to create art out of shadows. If that is all in alignment to your desires what are your terms?"
Inside he wasn't as confident as he was on the exterior. What if she said no because he wasn't a WinterClan tom? Maybe his skills weren't good enough for her, that he was just a pretty face that would never be anything more to her. Wintrystar was his first crush, but he never felt this certain before that this was the person he wanted forever in his life even if the feeling was entirely new to him. Everything in this world just felt right with her around.
Glowstar listened to the leaders talk, but her attention drifted over to Sean. Why was everyone staring at him? He was talking... He was really talking a lot, that was never good. Especially because he loved to tell stories about his fan fiction that made everyone uncomfortable. Her emerald gaze turned respectfully back to Cal, Chimerastar, Hystericstar, and Thistlestar, but her eyes turned right back to Sean again who seemed to really be nailing in some sort of point. Was this a future disaster she could intervene and stop or would she just be leaving this conversation for no reason? Maybe a distraction was needed...
"We've been hanging out for a while, would you gentlemen like to go to the tree to give some clan announcements?" Glowstar asked.
Beestripe was about to reply to the two she-cats when they were interrupted by another NightClan cat. This one's demeanor - one of elegance and untouchable power - was exactly what one might expect from a NightClan cat, but he didn't let himself get pushed off by it. He hadn't attended a gathering in a long time, but the she-cat reminded him of the leader of NightClan. Maybe it was still the same cat. His memory wasn't perfect though. "I've heard you loud and clear," the tom said, voice friendly. "SwiftClan is no enemy to NightClan, nor am I." Beestripe turned back to Creampuff and Tigerlily, posture relaxed and a smile on his face. "I hope I didn't offend you too somehow?" FaithSpot
SpringClan Harewhisker watched as the young tom nodded at her question. "Well," she said, trying to be social. "I remember my first gathering. It didn't go well for me. But yours will probably be better. My name is Harewhisker, by the way." lavellan
The former rogue was quite surprised to hear that fights didn't break out more. Apparently Clan-cats where slightly more civil than the blue tom originally presumed. "Thank you... Jackelteeeth, was it? No, Jackeltooth. Jaw?" Steller Jay concentrated harder. Clan cat's and their bizarre names. "Jackelfang! Thank you, Jackelfang. I do hope to learn the social etiquette of Clans during my stay."
WINTER
"Are you trying to tell me that I stink?" Greybreeeze responded. If cat's had eye brows to raise, Greybreeze would have been raising one. Though he was trying his best to be serious, Greybreeze's slightly clouded blue eyes gave him away with a twinkle of amusement.
Flamingstar was impressed that the Swiftclan tom was so polite despite her hostility. "Hmh." Was all that came out at Beestripe before she turned to her daughters. "Good." She replied to them. She leaned closer to whisper in their ears for only them to hear. "Be sure to collect any useful information from any of the other clans. Especially keep an eye out on Swiftclan. No clan is that peaceful." She then turned away, joining the other leaders at the bottom of the tree.
Chim watched carefully as the NightClan leader approached his deputy, but he was distracted by Glowstar and looked away before he could see the end of their confrontation. "Might as well get this over with," he agreed readily. The ginger tom rose to his paws and led the way over to the tree, climbing confidently up into the branches.
Hystericstar managed to hold back a sigh. This was the part that he was not looking forward to. If he were being honest, he would rather just leave the gathering right now than climb up that tree with the other leaders. What would he even say? Begrudgingly, he followed after Chimerastar into the tree, glad at least that he was able to do that much. If word got out that the leader of Fallclan had no formal training, it was sure to make his life difficult.
As Swiftclan and Fallclan's leaders headed for the tree she was sitting under, Flamingstar rose to her paws and climbed up after them. She sat on a low branch, her eyes narrowed, scanning the crowd as if she were looking for someone.

Swiftclan lavellan Cal gave the others a soft smile before turning and waving his tail in a goodbye as they began to climb the tree. "Good luck up there, Hystericstar. I promise, you've got this!" He whispered to the Fallclan leader then bounded off to join the others in Swiftclan.
Laurel watched with shock as her father lashed out at Foxbane. Her eyes widened and she passed a look to Shule, having more admiration for their relationship than she did before. When she was younger, she felt bitter towards her step-mother for being so close to her father. A soft smile crept onto her muzzle. I was so foolish then. Her paws hardly made a sound as she trotted up to Sean and Laurel placed her tail lightly on his shoulder. "Come this way, it looks like the Gathering is about to start." Her words were gentle as she spoke in his ear, but it didn't stop the fury from projecting through her gaze as she shot Foxbane a glare. Her eyes were deadpan as they turned to Funk E'tan. "Shouldn't you be joining the others on the tree?"
Lastly, her chocolate eyes turned to Shule, much softer now. "You too."
Dayclan CleaverFaith Darkpaw let out a purr and dipped her head to Autumngossamer. As she did so, her intense eyes flashed up to meet the Sunclan cat's. "Likewise." She purred. As soon as she rose back up, her gaze turned to Brakewings and she gave a sweet, devious smile. "It's wonderful getting to meet everyone today, don't you think?"
