"Yes!" He said quietly to himself. Looking up at his mom with a nod before falling in step with the other two apprentices. "Hi, guys." He greeted them cheerfully. He hadn't spent much time with anyone other than his sister, Spellpaw, recently and figured it would be better to get to know his denmates better using this opportunity.
"We really need to get going then." Frostcloud said, she didn't mind the apprentices coming, knowing that it would be a good experience for them but they really needed to start the journey before it got much later in the day and the constant interruptions of cats asking to come weren't helping with that matter.

Pantherpaw was pleased Lupinepaw had joined them. "Welcome! This is going to be fun!" she meowed. "There for awhile I thought I was going to be the only apprentice on this journey. I'm glad I'm not." It would be easier being with other cats her own age. And she wouldn't be scrutinized by the older cats as being the only apprentice. Sure, Graythorn, her brother was as old as she but he acted older because of his position and responsibilities he now held in the clan. And besides, he was much too grumpy for her to have fun with.

"You're right." Ravenstone acknowledge Frostcloud's words. "Come on, you three. Keep up and don't run off." She warned the apprentices, namely her son. Lupinepaw had a way of getting mischievous at times so she expected him to behave.
Lupinepaw felt a bit guilty but nodded at his other words before turning to the other three apprentices. "No way, I was just late coming back from hunting. I didn't want to miss this opportunity we won't ever get a chance quite like this one. It's exciting that Frostcloud is receiving her new name." He told the others, black tail waving around behind him in excitement and his big brown eyes wide with curiosity.
Frostcloud glanced back at the chattering group of apprentices as she headed the admittedly large group of cats. She knew they would have to pass through SpringClan's territory to reach the Moon Creek and she really hoped the clan to their north didn't take the group of three warriors and three apprentices as some kind of invasion or them attempting to steal prey. "You might want to save your breath for walking and not spend the entire journey yammering. It's going to be a long one."
Sunpaw crossed the gap between the apprentices and the leader. "I'm sorry if we're annoying you. Having a newer cat like me in the mix probably doesn't help." she mewed apologetically.
Feeling better, Sunpaw turned her gaze forward, wondering what new things she may see on the journey. Her time of constant wandering with Brick had made her forget the excitement travel could hold. Just another thing to be grateful for, she supposed. (Edited prior post to fit. Sorry!)

Graythorn walked along side Frostcloud but about a step behind her. He was still concerned about the part he would have to play in the ceremony. The only outward sign that showed his nervousness was his twitching tail.
Pantherpaw walked between Sunpaw and Lupinepaw. "I wonder if we'll have any trouble with SpringClan. From what I've heard they're pretty mean"
"I heard that SunClan had invaded SpringClan recently and that the clan was forced to move to SunClan, abandoning their territory for the time being." Reedleaf spoke up for the first time. The smaller black she-cat was the polar opposite personality wise from Frostcloud, her sister, but the two got along extremely well. "SunClan was guarding members of SpringClan and DayClan at the last Gathering. We may not run into anybody."
"It's not entirely common but not unheard of either." Reedleaf said, to reassure the newcomer to the clan. "It isn't uncommon for clans to attack one another if they are at war or over prey or territory rights but completely overtaking a clan is rare and usually doesn't last too long."
Sunpaw relaxed somewhat. "I see... I may not have come to the forest looking for SummerClan specifically, but I really like it here." Her voice quieted. "I don't want to lose this home too..."

"You don't have to worry about that," Pantherpaw meowed. "SummerClan cats are the strongest cats of all the clans. No one could ever chase us off our land." She was pleased to hear that they might not have any trouble going through SpringClan's territory. However, there was a bit of sadness in her heart for the SpringClan cats. It must be awful to lose one's land to a rival clan.

"Still be watchful, however. If springclan is no longer in their territory then there may be Sunclan cats, rogues, or other animals like foxes running amuck that we may run in to. That's what happens when you don't patrol your borders." She told the apprentices. She had to admit the entire situation with Sunclan made her a bit nervous, but at the very least there were no signs of them bothering Summerclan.
"If we see a Sunclan cat I can take him." Lupinepaw said proudly without hesitation. He was almost a warrior after all and fighting was his strength, he always did well in spars with the other apprentices and warriors even if he didn't always win.
