Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Honeycream had already entered the den...and found it a mess. Clearly, the young cub was not a fan of thunderstorms and decided to trash the place. Moss was everywhere, berries were smashed and destroyed, and the poor cub was curled up in the corner whimpering. Approaching with caution, the tom called out in a soothing voice. "Hey, little cub, I'm here now. I'm here." His words were soft and drew the cub's attention. With his back to the den, Honeycream forced solely on the little cub before him. But then lightning stuck and the cub reacted. It reached and rushed Honeycream, knocking him over just as another entered the den. The cub was terrified and rightfully so.

(Omg my response never went through ;-; But yeah! In the New Prophecy series of Warriors. Her name was Midnight ♡)
Just as Faithfulfeather reached the dens entrance the she cat watched as the badger cub rushed past Honeycream and knocked him over. The cub seemed to be running in her direction as if to escape the den. The warrior had to think fast and make sure the tom was okay, so she drew her body to full size and tried to keep the front blocked. She then slolwy walked into the den, but not before pushing some of the plants around them behind her to at least slow the cub down if it tried to run past her. The black and white cat was determined to keep it in the safe space. Last thing they needed was the small creature to escape and cause more choas and mayhem during this storm.

Honeycream was dazed slightly from the hit, a mere scratch but nothing more in the form of damage. He started to panic though, having no clue how to calm the poor dearie. "Shhh, it's alright, we're here, shhhhh." He tried comforting words he'd seen queens use in their kits in storms like these but that didn't seem to be working very well. His blue eyes searching Faithfulfeather for guidance. He was truly out of his depth in this moment, over his head and no idea how to proceed. The cream colored tom had thought this would be an easy enough task, raising a badger cub. Queens raised kits everyday and that was nothing, or at least he'd thought so. Clearly he was wrong and now the realization was setting in, but just what was he to do now? Approaching with the only idea he had in mind, Honeycream began to purr while still whispering sweet things to the scared little cub. He planned to get close enough to be curled up with the cub that was fasting becoming the same size as himself. Was it the bets idea? Probably not, but it was the only one he had. Hopefully, Faithfulfeather had a backup plan in case this didn't work.

(How about Clover or Lavender?)
The black and white feline remained at the entrance as a blockade. While she was unsure what Honeycream was doing Faithfulfeather watched to see what he was doing. She heard his purr and his approach to the cub was calm if not somewhat nervous in movement. The she cat at the worse would have to catch the cub by it's if it ran and somehow try to keep it still enough to relax. Problem was the cub was a decent size to where it would be a slight struggle for her to do this however if its what it took to help it then that's all she could do. To try to help the tom cat she too gave a purr of relaxed calmness.
Slowly it seemed to help. The cub's cries turned into whimpers and then restlessness of it calmed a degree. It no longer looked as though it would bolt any moment, but that it was merely pick up in its wails again if they left or stopped purring. Honeycream motioned for Faithfulfeather to join him, mostly to pull her away from the cold rain trying to sneak in. It was almost homey the way they were curled up. Two parents and the kit between them, except in this case it was two warriors and a badger cub. Who would have thought this would, semi, work?

With a small sigh of relief and a thanks to Starclan above the she cat padded over and joined the other warrior and cub. If anyone had told her moons ago she would be helping to hide a secret badger cub and be curled up during a thunderstorm to calm it down Faithfulfeather would have asked them to see the medicine cat. In truth she still wondered if all of this was for real but didn't dare to speak the words outloud (especially in worry it would provoke the cub and make the other warrior sad.) The she cat had to admit though, this was a rather soothing moment to be in...clam and almost peaceful save for the rampaging storm outside.
Honeycream was at a loss. Just what did they do now? They couldn't be here for every storm, at least he didn't imagine it'd be possible, but what to do? "Faithfulfeather....." His voice trailed off, lost in thought and worried about what they were going to do about the future. Should they even be doing this? His heart said yes, for the cub was parentless and to young to care for itself but at the same time, it could be a danger to them and the clan.

(My apologies for such a long wait, I've been busy with my seasonal job at the days kinda blurred together lol)
The she cat caught the tone of his voice, and felt his worry and conflicted sparking out of him like electricity. "What's the matter Honeycream...what is on your mind?"
(no worries! I work night shift now, 12 hour shifts so I get it. I couldn't tell you the day of the week most of the time ashestoashes )
Did he really wish to bother her with his words? Even if he didn't feel right burdening her with his thoughts, Honeycream did it anyways for the questions had been stewing inside him for a while now. "Are...are we doing the right thing?" His eyes, worry-filled, glanced at the dozing beast beside him. At the first strike of thunder, it would be awake again, and then what would they do? Purs and comforting words only last for so long.

With a sigh Faithfulfeather gave her honest answer back to the tom, "Clan wise probably not so much...to a lot of cats we probably would be seen as having put their lives at risk for a creature that could probably hurt or kill them. It is incredibly reckless what we have been doing, and plus keeping it as a secret won't help the situation any at all." She paused for a moment before going on. "However...we also saved a life. Gave a creature a chance to live and survive. In some way the karma of this will hit us, good and bad. Only time will tell what will come from this."
The she cat looked up towards the roof towards the sky. The nest had been great for the time being but it was almost time to move the small one somewhere else. After seeing the events of tonight they would need to move it somewhere where the sound around the young creature would be muffled or silenced completely. But where in Starclan would they find that?
(sorry completely lost this thread. Good thing for bookmarking!) ashestoashes
The young cub was nearly ready to be on his own, even if they didn't realize that. He had grown fast and would soon out grown this den they rested in. The cub was silent, asleep, as the two adults spoke. Honeycream's face contorted into a frown, tough he too didn't know what else todo. It had seemed like the right thing when he started all of this, but hearing her words and knowing the clan could be in danger, he knew they couldn't keep the cub much longer. "Maybe......maybe we should look for a new home for Lavender?"

(True, gotta love the bookmarking system on here pao)
"It wouldn't be a bad idea but now there is something else to think about: how long do cubs of his kind stay woth their mothers? I'm not a expert nor do I really know anything about Lavender's kind. Even when the cub becomes an adult will he know how to properly care for himself? Know how to interact with others of his kind? I have no clue how different his and our kind are in contrast." Pausing for a moment Faithfulfeather added "There is a chance that he may not survive on his own after all of this is said and done. We can only hope he will become strong enough to fend for him self soon and also hopefully not come near the clan. What are we do to if he ended up barging into camp one day trying to find us?"
