Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Nestled south of Nova Canyons wolf territory is the home of the wise, playful, and peaceful cats of DayClan known as Cadence Valley. For hundreds of moons DayClan has remained among the most peaceful clans in all of the forest, they were a heaven who never knew hell. Prey was plentiful, conflicts were resolved, there was happiness and above all honor. However when Glowstar began to lead DayClan trouble followed, Primal Instinct wanted to make DayClan miserable and SunClan wanted to manipulate and use the DayClan cats. Now after four long years, peace was restored, SunClan and Primal Instinct were friends now.
Glowstar stood at pointed stones and let out a purr, "Everyone, it's the beginning of April, which means we've made it to four moons of peaceful bliss! The forest isn't on fire, no one's taken over and you know what? I have a really good feeling about April."
Glowstar walked down to the bottom of pointed stones and placed a fourth stone on top of a stack of three rocks. "To peace," Glowstar cheered, her smile gentler than flower petals. If someone had told her she would be leader of a clan rejoicing about peace she would have never believed it, but here she was. Peace to her was always so boring and dull, but when she looked at how happy DayClan was to not have as harsh of a year as last year it was worth the boredom.
"Too peace!" Windchaser repeated. Indeed, things got a little rough and Windchaser still didnt trust Sunclan, Primal Instinct, and now Nightclan, it had been good recently. Her kits were thriving, she wasnt constantly worried Foxbane would take them from her, and she has had time to relax.
"Too peace!" Buttercuppaw piped up beside her mother, looking very similar to her.
Divinekit was a quiet kit, although a wise mother would know those were the ones who needed watched most closely. Presently she did not seem to be up to much of anything, though, just sitting quietly by the nursery, watching the Clan mill about. When the other cats began to cheer after Glowstar's speech, she opened her mouth as if to join in, but only released a half squeak before falling silent. She was distracted. The air was... teeming. Like it was anticipating something, sort of how it felt before it rained, although there was not a cloud in the sky. Something shiny caught her attention, and she turned her gaze toward the main entrance of camp. The golden ginger she-kit stood up, took a few steps forward and asked, "Who's that?"
---
Those black tabby stripes must have been masterfully hand-drawn; there was simply no other explanation for the elaborate patterns that danced across the intruder's fur. They were perfectly symmetrical, flawlessly vantablack, a true marvel, emphasized by flashes of white streaks over a billowy crimson red pelt. Although the colors were different, anyone who had seen the Sun God would recognize that the two cats shared a very similar appearance, from the tufted ears all the way down to fiery sparks that wreathed his body; however, this new cat was of normal size and had a very physical presence that distinguished him from that of a spirit. He entered the camp with his head held high, bottlebrush tail erect, the picture of confidence and, dare I say, quite the dreamboat.
"Glowstar." His voice could be heard throughout the camp clear as if he had been standing right next to each cat in attendance. If the sparks flitting about him didn't leave the Clan suspecting the supernatural, then the way his voice effortlessly carried confirmed it. He gave a very, very slight bow to the leader of DayClan and narrowed his brilliant sunstone eyes, "I will cut to the chase. I have been sent by the Sun God to enlighten those in DayClan who have yet to open their hearts to him. Regrettably, that is nearly every cat here. I am not going to play games with you like those blasphemous sisters who called themselves Goddesses. Your lack of respect for the Sun God and relaxed approach to leadership is a blight to this Clan that I will correct. So, we can do this the easy way, or we can do it your way. What do you say?"
Bloodyrondo was happy that he was able to hide the way his paws shook slightly. This was a lot of pressure and he was not perfect, but at least the glamour was working flawlessly; there was no way a cat would suspect his true identity or that he was anything but the picture of confidence. When he spoke, his voice was deep, booming. His scent matched the cat's of DayClan with a little added flare of sunshine and flowers. He could see himself reflected in Glowstar's eyes as a new cat entirely, one who could easily be picked out as a leader among commoners. That's right, he had the powers of a God now, and he was determined to do what not even Foxstar or Littlestar could: He was going to convert DayClan to the Sun God. It would be easy, he just knew it, so long as he could get Glowstar under control. She was the thorn in the lion's paw. And Bloodyrondo was Androcles.
Windchaser bristled as Bloodyrondo entered the camp. Immediately, she made her way to Glowstar, standing protectively beside her. There was no way Glowstar was doing this alone. Even if she possibly annoyed Glowstar with her overprotective nature, Windchaser didn't much care. Her duty as an Immortal Council member was to protect Glowstar and Dayclan even at the cost of her life. A real mother would be more worried about how she would be leaving her kits but not this hot-headed feline. She loved her kits, yes, but she also had responsibilities to Dayclan. Her kits would survive without her. They were smart, clever, and strong.
"Probably something positive," Fairytalekit replied optimistically to Divinekit.
Lilacpaw let out a yawn, but it caught in her throat when she noticed the new tom come in. Her pelt bristled as she watched her mom step in front of Glowstar anxiously.
"Ooh, I am flattered and you're a really hot babe, but I'm sorry. It's just, I have a clan, I'm focusing on myself, it's not you it's me, does that kind of make sense? I'm sorry, maybe in another world, but this just isn't a good time for DayClan, but you'll find someone who you can conquer." Glowstar gave a smile of infinite kindness and understanding before looking back to her clan. "So anyways guys, good work, also there's a big puddle outside of the camp entrance, someone can either be the draw bridge or we can just deal with it. In other news the word of the day today is greenth, it is a noun and it means green growth or verdure. I don't know what verdure is, but I guess we know what tomorrows word of the day will be."
"No one cares about you. Get lost." A lazy voice drawled across to meet Bloodyrondo's ears. In contrast to him, it seemed to carry and undercurrent of sweeping darkness, and the shadows seemed just a shade deeper, more tangible in the moment. The essence of death clung the scarred frame of Wanderingwight, otherwise known as Senescence to the cats of the League. Even lying down, head resting on russet paws, she was a massive cat, tall, with lacy lines written across her fur like void cracks that shone to something distinctly demonic. The way she looked at him, with mismatched eyes of haint blue and blind violet, seemed just a touch too sharp, especially as her head lifted a fraction and an eerie copper red filtered over her gaze for a long moment before flashing away as it if it never had been.
No matter if he knew her or not, he would notice her presence, that much was certain. She seemed to repel light in all sorts, and though no shadows whispered past her paws, the very ground she laid on seemed tainted with decay.
Buttercuppaw leaned against her sister, her eyes widening as the new cat came strolling in to speak with Glowstar. It seemed that Glowstar was not at all phased by the intimidating tom. She seemed almost flattered and completely relaxed. "I get that Glowstar is very welcomin' and all but does she really have to be so relaxed when a potential threat just strolls into our camp?" Her voice was soft and hushed as leaned to speak into Lilacpaw's ear.
Windchaser pinned her ears back, eyeing Bloodyrondo. She didn't recognize the tom for he was well hidden by the flashy Sun God but suspicion creeped on her. She couldn't understand how her leader could be so relaxed. If she were on her last life, she would not be as calm as Glowstar. Unless...Glowstar really didn't have much to live for anymore and the thought really frightened Windchaser.
Divinekit cocked her head and wrapped her tail around her white paws. She didn't respond to her sister and simply watched with curiosity, although the fur at the nape of her neck was raising ever so slightly. ---
"So, your way. I assumed as much. What kind of leader doesn't recognize a threat when he walks right into camp and declares himself as such?" Bloodyrondo had a cocksure grin on his face now. He was still nervous - who wouldn't be - but Glowstar's reaction reminded him of just how badly DayClan needed saved. She could not recognize danger if it looked her in the face, huh? Well, perhaps he aught to show her just how menacing the power of a God can be. He of course had not been present during Bluejay and Pandora's takeover, nor had he been in the Clans during the Apocalypse, so he had little to compare to, didn't really know what many of the cats before him had seen. He recognized that was a set-back, which he decided meant he needed to be extra flashy to leave any impression. Luckily, he had access to the combined abilities of the Goddesses. Hopefully that meant he could do more than they could.
He padded past Glowstar, shooting a glare at Windchaser as he crossed by, as if daring her to try something as he put his back to the two she-cats. The crimson tom then made his way toward the wisteria throne. He heard the growl of Wanderingwight to his side and turned to shoot her a glare, but his breath caught in his throat for just a second. Something was not right with this she-cat. With Bloodyrondo's supernaturally heightened senses, the world was renewed to him. It was as if new colors had been added to the rainbow. Because of this, her dark presence was nearly stifling and had a visible effect on the cat behind the glamour that he was not prepared for. A hint of fear registered on his face before he corrected it, then he dismissively scoffed, "No one cares about me? Watch me change that."
It hadn't been that long since he had found comfort behind these waves of purple blooms. Yes, this wisteria tree was the very heart of camp, a statement of power and authority that he had only ever seen vacant.
"The Sun God can create and he can destroy. Through his influence I will demonstrate what that judgement looks like."
Bloodyrondo touched his muzzle against one of the blossoms and, for a moment, nothing happened besides a bright pink spark. The spark smoldered against the branch then, in a flash, brilliant magenta flames erupted, climbing from limb to limb, fully engulfing the entire tree in seconds. Those who had spent any sort of time in WinterClan would describe the colors as alpenglow and these flames were actually just as cold. They did not spread past the wisteria throne nor did they smell like they were burning. It was just flames, for the time being, and Bloodyrondo sincerely hoped that he would not have to take it further than this. He was not so sure if he could keep up so many illusions at once; he'd never tried something of this scale in front of so many eyes. But DayClan didn't, couldn't, know that. If they wanted to feel the heat, eat the smoke, well, he would let them. But not yet.
He turned his back to the fire with a smug expression, his fur now illuminated in beautiful purple-and-pink hues. The cat in front of the flames looked like an entire sunset, fiery tendrils wrapping around him like a cloud, the sparks wreathed within his fur spitting out a beautiful song of impending destruction. Bloodyrondo was like, super handsome in this moment. The most handsome. Talk about a heartthrob. If your character flaw was that you always fell for a pretty face, well, welcome to the Sun God's way of things.
Glowstar's head turned to follow as Bloodyrondo walked to the wisteria tree. Her gaze briefly leaving him to look at Wanderingwright, sometimes people rubbed the bright brigade member the wrong way and she would just snap their head off and cut the whole villainy short. But sometimes she was like her and enjoyed playing with her prey. By the time she looked back she could see the sparks vaguely against the wisteria before it burst into flames, illuminating the already bright clan like a beacon. A smile played at her lips before she bit her lip, hiding it back for the time being. He didn't need to know what she knew, after all it was just a hypothesis.
"You don't take no for an answer do you? I don't know who you are, but I'll let you know this, I only take on serious enemies and I'll be honest you're not really my type. I like it rough and the way you flatter yourself and say you're a danger is a bit of a turn off. However your persistent and I've had worse first enemy dates than this so sure, knock yourself out," Glowstar said walking towards the wisteria tree and in turn him.
"Are you kidding me!?" Fuzzyheart cried out exasperated that she was just going to allow this guy to take over.
"Oh what are you going to fight the fire guy? If anyone in DayClan wants to come and force this guy out of the clan then go ahead. But personally he's caught me at a good time, I'm still recovering from being attacked by Bluejay and Pandora so I can't really fight him unless I want to pull open every cut. For as reckless as I am I know if I did I'd bleed out for sure," Glowstar said before turning back to the godly tom, "So is there anything else you want to add to this meeting, I don't know an introduction, world domination plans? Otherwise I kind of want to go sleep on that throne over there," She gestured leisurely. Closer up Bloodyrondo could see just how badly wounded she was, she had knicks and small cuts varying from deep to light scattered all over her. It didn't even look like she was attacked by a cat, but almost picked a part by tiny vultures. Farther away it was harder to see now that the wounds had scabbed over and darkened.
Fuzzyheart looked at Windchaser, maybe the two of them could force this guy out... And maybe not get lit on fire.
Windchaser watched Bloodyrondo pass, returning the same glare he gave her. When he lit up the throne, every hair on the ginger warrior's body bristled in fury. Her gaze blazed in a fit of green fire rage while her claws flexed and ripped at the ground beneath them. Her anger only intensified when Glowstar allowed him to stay. For the first time in her life, she cast a glare to Glowstar that would kill. "You have an entire clan! An entire army of fierce warriors and skilled assassins that could run him out but you surrender to him?" A look of disbelief and disgust for the leader's dicision replaced the glare. Windchaser had always stood by Glowstar and her decisions despite whether or not she agreed with them. However, this time was different. Glowstar was refusing to even put up a fight. She just handed over the throne just like that. "Are you saying that if I decided to take the throne by force, you wouldn't stop me?" As she waited for a response from her leader, she caught Fuzzyheart's eye. For a moment, they shared the same thought. Could they really disobey Glowstar and take on this beast by themselves? And if they began to fight, would the rest of Dayclan join in?

Penguinpond glanced up nervously from his spot among the other warriors. "W-w-what is g-going on?" He meowed nervously to whoever was nearby. Who was this cat and why was Glowstar so calm?
She was usually oblivious to the news floating around camp, but this one happened to stride right in and make himself the point of attention. Astralbelly's blue gaze turned quizzically to the fiery tom and she tilted her head slightly. What an odd creature and certainly a strange situation. A bit of nervousness made the fur on the back of her neck prickle. She couldn't let herself be troubled. No, she must keep the peace and innocence that she worked so hard to paint on her face be the only thing the clan could see.
"Let's look at the evidence. This supernatural cat walks in saying that he's going to convert us to the sun religion. That's a promise, not a threat. So far he's shown an egotistic personality and a flare for theatrics. No one's been hurt, no one's been forced to do anything. With my own background knowledge I know that the Sun God once lit White Tree on fire, but it went out easily on his command. So I know that if this cat was sent from Sun God, he can do the same, so the tree on fire isn't really a threat to me either. The only power he can get right now, is the power we give to him by reacting in fear or defensiveness. I haven't surrendered anything because I've given him nothing to take from me. If you do react in fear and defensiveness though, then yes, he can strip your sense of safety and control, but until then he's all bark and no bite. I'm not saying you can't attack him, but I'm not going to command DayClan to attack someone who so far has shown nothing dangerous about himself except for those devastatingly good looks," Glowstar said to Windchaser casually.
Glowstar almost felt like audibly groaning. Sometime the perfect princess act was annoying to keep up and she longed to react with her careless confidence that she always had, but hid beneath the eloquence she exuberated. But looking at Windchaser she found herself returning to that elegant side of her. She was well mannered and kept up her composure for Windchaser and the rest of the clan because they were worth it every time. She dropped the careless act and placed a paw over Windchaser's, her eyes glittery with pride, "I trust you with all my heart and support you with all my strength. I don't believe he's a threat, but if you do we can fight him, just say the words." There was something so adorably fierce about that look of frustration in Windchaser's eyes, who couldn't rally behind that?
"This guy just came into camp and wants us to follow the religion of Sun God I guess?" Lilacpaw said to Penguinpond.
Windchaser's jaw gaped in surprise that Glowstar was leaving the decision up to her. She didnt know what to think. What Glowstar was saying made sense. It seemed the Sun God only retaliated in frustration when Glowstar refused to show fear. Even if her leader was fearless, Windchaser was not so much. Sure, she would go head first into battle but where did the courage to go into battle come from? It always came from the fear she felt deep inside. The fear that one day Primal Instinct and Winterclan would attack again and murder more cats or Sunclan would take over once more and torture them. Perhaps someone new would come and take over. Someone like the Sun God. Fear for Dayclan going under the control of another once again struck Windchaser like a thousand icy knives. "Glowstar...I cant let Dayclan be taken over again...you've seen what it has done to us...what it has done to my family. Why must we always back down? Why cant we show everyone how strong Dayclan really is?" She looked Glowstar in the eyes, longing and pleading for her to understand.
Buttercuppaw watched Windchaser and the leader talk back and forth, admiration for her mother reflecting in her turquoise eyes. "Wow...mom has guts."
Mysterypaw looked at Windchaser with a newfound respect in the apprentices eyes. "Indeed, she should bring it out more often."
Rubyflame's eyes were narrowed. "We've given the Sun God more than enough consideration, this is getting ridiculous." She meowed simply, "I agree with you Glowstar that he is ultimately a lot of talk and all, but I think Windchaser is right that at some point we have to say enough is enough. Besides, since when has the Sun God needed an acolyte to speak for him, if anything I wonder if he truly has the backing of the Sun God, taking his show away from him like this." The Immortal Council Member noted eyes narrowing as she looked at Bloodyrondo.
Illuminatedpath frowned, his tail shifting out to gently nudge his and Windchaser's kits closer to him, trying to be subtle about it as he watched this all go down.
Bloodyrondo's eyes went ablaze as he listened to Glowstar berate him. Likewise, the magenta flames around him intensified and began to radiate heat, although still nothing burned and thus no smoke. He opened his mouth to reply to the DayClan' leaders words but was cut off by Windchaser. Normally he was not one to allow such an interruption but for reasons unknown to him he judged this one worth allowing. Bloodyrondo had limited knowledge of DayClan, sure, but he had a feeling that Glowstar's own followers rarely called her out on her atypical pliancy toward subjugation. Dissent within the ranks of DayClan would divide it and make it easier for him to win them over if he played his cards right. So, instead, he swallowed his pride and decided to listen. And boy was he glad he did. His mind had went blank when Glowstar had given him permission to give a speech, but Windchaser's words gave him all the ammunition he needed.
"That she-cat of yours is a treasure. Loyal but strong-willed enough to stand before you and call you out for what you are. A fool." Bloodyrondo said to Glowstar, then turned his attention to the ginger she-cat at her side. Windchaser was clearly still not his fan but he had a feeling that if he could win her over she might just be the key to the rest of the Clan, "Make no mistake. I am not here to take over DayClan. I have no intentions of harming a single one of you or trying to steal your precious lands. In fact, it's quite the opposite, I want to make DayClan stronger than it has ever been. Glowstar knows the Sun God yet continually rejects him and just look at her. Beaten, worn down. She didn't even try to put up a fight on your behalf against me, a complete stranger you've definitely never seen before... a wise decision, but even I expected more of a fight. So to answer your question, Windchaser, DayClan always backs down because of its lack of faith in the Sun God and itself. You say you do not want to be enslaved. Take a good look at yourselves - you even put titles on your own devisions! Arranged marriages? Servants? How hypocritical can you all be? Those ranks exist because some cat along the line decided he wanted to raise himself up and put others down. I'm here to tell you that all who devote themselves to the Sun God are equals. And with that unity comes an unshakeable strength that will lead DayClan to a bright and shining future."
He paused and surveyed the gathered cats, trying to gauge it any of his words landed. It was impossible to tell. He couldn't read minds, couldn't judge emotions, his abilities were useful but greatly limited. The truth was that the last thing he wanted to do was fight. His senses were keener then ever but his claws weren't any sharper than they were yesterday. Bloodyrondo knew that there had to be an ability that he had yet to unlock but he didn't want to rely on that wildcard to get him through this. He took a deep breath and continued.
"So Glowstar... you are right. I am not a threat to your Clan, but I am a threat to your leadership. Or rather, your style of leadership. I will teach you what it really means to be a High Priestess and DayClan will never have to worry about being enslaved ever again."

A rock flew through the air and ricocheted hard from right between Bloodyrondo's eyes. "Could you please just shut up. Do we really gotta tell you to get lost again? I thought we made that pretty clear." This was a new voice, but one familiar to Windchaser. After all, Fia tended to be one of the first cats to act, especially violently. She was Wanderingwight's adopted daughter, but something in her presence was quite similar in a way that ran in blood, not simply in the bonds formed from youth. "So, we're not going to be taken over? Yeah right. I've seen SunClan. And Littlestar is nice enough, but I think I'll pass. Now, stop deafening us with your stupid rhetoric and get lost." The Immortal Council member hefted another stone and chucked it, this one once again headed for his face.
Wanderingwight, naturally, hadn't missed the fear, but she didn't need to move as she watched Fia stand up to a god in a heartbeat, looking none too impressed with this egotistical wannabe. It was funny, really, watching this whole thing, and she didn't particularly feel the need to interfere at this moment, though her half blind gaze did seem a touch more attentive behind the glaze of disinterest she wore on a normal day.
Poppyheart had finally woken up after what had been a very restful sleep. It was hard work being as monstrously pregnant as she was and she had put up a valiant effort in continuing her rest but enough was enough. It was too loud, way too much bickering going on out there. She was going to give whoever was behind it a real earful. Or, that was the plan, up until she stuck her head out of the nursery and saw the wisteria throne in flames with some strange new sparkly cat standing in front of it. "Oh for the love of StarClan... this again?!"
"OW." Bloodyrondo cursed, lifting up his paw to feel his wound. A knot was already forming and his paw was damp with blood. He glamoured away the wound as soon as he identified it which, to the onlooker, appeared to be instant regeneration, although that headache wasn't going anywhere. He searched the crowd for the source of the stone just in time for Fia to level her second attack. His fur raised, he called out at her with a deafening yowl, "STOP IT."
And, just like that, Fia's vision turned darker than black. Blinded. Her second throw still hit home, though, and she would have totally been able to hear Bloodyrondo groan as he was bonked once again between the eyes.
"No" Windchaser responded with a stern voice before Fia threw the rock. "Glowstar has served and protected us for moons. Before I was even born; and she has done a better job than any other clan leader. We do not need assistance. We love the way our lives are and we wouldn't trade it for the world." Windchaser stood firm, holding her ground against the Sun God. "We considered your offer and we declined. It seems the great, peaceful Sun God cant take no for an answer. Well, read my lips! NO! We will not convert to your religion. If Glowstar becomes too weak to lead this clan then..." She narrowed her eyes and took a step forward until she was muzzle to muzzle with the Sun God. "I will lead this clan." Her voice was unwavering, strong, and serious and held the strength of a hundred lions.
Fia blinked slowly, then rubbed her eyes. Well, she wasn't dead, soooo, to be honest, this wasn't that bad. Wanderingwight had taught her to fight with other senses besides the eyes, and she chucked another rock, though this one coincidentally hit Windchaser in the back of the head because she couldn't see the Immortal Council member. Whoops.
