Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Calamitystar let out a large yawn and padded out of his den, feeling the wind after an early morning, wintery rain slice through his coat as he stepped out of the den. It was that cool blast to the face that helped him overcome the morning sleepies as he approached the rest of his staff. "Good morning everyone." He meowed brightly and sat down to groom the feathers out of his coat. "Are you ready for a day of bonding and fun?"
Amberpaw couldn't believe he'd been roped into this. Sure, it got him out of doing his apprentice duties but that didn't mean he wanted to hang out with the rest of the staff either. Shuffling to sit with the group, tiredly eyed the group. I could be sleeping in right now if not for this, he thought. While his mentor may no longer be Hystericplague, he was still a present figure in his life. The older tom would show up to make sure he was up and doing his job. It was torture. Not as bad as being free of him as his actual mentor but it still sucked.
Tatteredraven appeared next, stretching her long legs as she left the warriors den, she had been looking forward to this bonging trip since Calamitystar told them about it. Shaking her short coat free of the moss that clung to it, she joined the others, sitting beside Amberpaw with no more than half a tail length between them. "I'm excited to see what's in store today." She purred, catching the leaders words as she had arrived.
Hystericplague had, as usual, woken up quite early after a near all-nighter with his experiments, since finding the time for them was starting to get harder and harder with Calamitystar constantly bugging him for this and that, and with his new promotion to deputy. Technically, he wasn't even sure if he was supposed to be allowed to use the herbs and hang out in the medicine cat den anymore, but no one had told him off about it yet, and he certainly wouldn't listen if someone did try to.
Now, he sat munching on a bird, silently cursing the cold weather on his hairless body as the leader came up to them. He cast Cal a wary glance, knowing that whatever he had planned, he was not going to like it.

Cal also gave a long stretch and glanced around. "So where is everyone? My paws are simply itching to get going!" He purred with a wink to the gathering group. He had lots of activities that were probably going to end up awkward, crash and burn, or turn out somewhat successful planned for them. It could really go any way.
A purr rumbled in Tatteredravens chest as Cals excitement began to flow through the air around the group. "They must still be sleeping, you remember to tell everyone the right time?" She asked looking at the leader.
I shouldnt be too too late, right? Poisonrush sprinted back toward the camp entrance. Passing through the threshold, he slowed to a trot and made his way toward the gathering of cats. "I hope I'm not too late to this," he said as he padded toward them, giving the group an apologetic smile. Standing next to his fellow Aurulent, he shook the leaves and debris that clung to his fur from his run earlier.
Hystericplague raised a brow as it seemed everyone was in the know except for him. Really, it didn't surprise him that much, as Cal just loved to spring things on him, but he had to wonder if no one had bothered to tell him, or if everyone was instructed to not tell him. Eh, it really didn't matter anyway, did it? He would have been dragged in even if he knew about what was going on. "So, anyone mind filling me in or should I just pretend I don't know anything and continue eating?" he asked, though he immediate went to take another bite of his bird.

"Uhhhh..." Now that he thought about it, did he tell everyone the right time? Cal had a tendency to forget little details that mattered, such as time and place. "Well, it looks like you either guessed right or maybe I did tell you all this time." He chuckled in response to Tatteredraven's question. "Poisonruuushhhh." The black tom greeted the aurulent cheerfully as he approached. "You're right on time! Uh, I think. Either way, you aren't late in my opinion." As Hystericplague joined them, he simply grew more excited. "We're going to have so much fun! Aren't we, Hystericplague?!"
"AND I TOLD YOU, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, YOU'RE WRONG!"
His booming voice was heard across the camp long before his presence was seen; it was unmistakable, the deep timber, the strong authority, the confidence.... the aggressive shouting at some poor sap who'd gotten in his way. Soon enough, after his victim was properly scared off, the lithe gray tabby entered the camp and joined the group, inclining his head respectfully to the group. "Calamitystar, it's a pleasure to be invited here," Jayjack greeted.
Poisonrush's eyes instantly locked onto the tom that just joined the group. "Ah, you must be Jayjack. It's nice of you to join us for our little adventure," he greeted with a friendly smile. "Welcome to the Aurulent, by the way. I'm Poisonrush." On the inside, something was telling him to be wary of this cat, but he couldn't tell why. Maybe from his dismissive tone he used on some unfortunate soul earlier? He didnt know but it kept him on edge.
Hystericplague had opened his mouth to remark, when Jayjack's thundering voice interrupted him, and he immediately groaned. Fun was not something that he would equate to the newly appointed aurulent, though he wouldn't really use the word to describe much. Especially whatever it was that Calamitystar had up his paw, more than likely. Luckily, the tom gave Hystericplague plenty of time to recollect himself before he joined the group. So, not only was everyone else invited except for the medicine cat turned deputy, but even Jayjack knew of this meeting. Well, that almost hurt. He rolled his eyes at the politeness the other tom showed, but decided to keep his mouth shut this time.
Tatteredraven visibly winced, her ears pulling back against her skull as Jayjacks voice very clearly rang out. Her eyes turned towards him as he approached the group and she quickly relaxed herself, she was not frightened of the tom but his sudden booming voice seemed to always affect her the same way. "Good morning Jayjack, I see you've already has somewhat of a productive start to the day." The black and white aurulent wasn't sure how to word it, and saying what she did it didn't seem to fit right, she was all about helping the younger cats to reach their full potential but the newest Aurulent had a rather harsh way of doing it himself.

Calamitystar, like the others, was surprised for a moment at the sudden booming voice but relaxed as he realized it came from Jayjack. He placed his paws over his ears and continued to smile a warm, welcoming smile as the new aurulent came to join them. For a moment, he needed to rub his ear to get the ringing out. He couldn't imagine the clanging happening in that poor apprentice's young drums. "Ah, Jayjack, I'm glad you made it." He greeted awkwardly before beginning to count the staff to make sure they were all present. As he did so, he tapped the tip of his tail on each of their noses. "YAY! We are all here and can get started!"
He cast Poisonrush barely a side glance as he awaited his leader's reply. In his eyes the other aurulent was rather unimportant, at least in the moment, but he did chivalrously reply "Thanks for the welcome, Poisonrush, it's a pleasure to meet you" without taking his eyes off Calamitystar. He ignored Tatteredraven as well until the leader was done with his greeting; then, nodding sharply, he turned back to the she-cat. "Indeed I have, Tatteredraven," he replied briskly. "Sometimes you have to start out early. Cats these days have no respect."
Poisonrush rolled his eyes, his fur prickling with annoyance. Something about the tom's reply felt inauthentic and forced, but he tries to shake the thought from his head. Must be his age getting to him, he thought. Watching him interact with the other Aurulent, gave him doubts he would like the tom much, if at all. First impressions are everything and this surely wasn't off to a good start.
Tatteredraven could feel Poisonrush beside her, the annoyance pricking at the toms pelt, gently she placed her tail on his shoulder in hopes that it would give him slight comfort against the headstrong young Aurulent before them. She wanted to comment on Jayjacks last remark, but knew she wasn't prepared to open that can of worms and so she simply nodded before turning to Poisoonrush with a smile. "A good bonding trip wouldn't be much without a little competition, I hope he has something like that set up for us." She kept her voice quiet as she spoke to the tabby tom, excited.
The touch of Tatteredraven's tail broke him out of his head and he turned to give her a small smile. "Yeah, I suppose you're right about that. Hopefully, he has something good in store for us," he responded. A competition would do wonders right about now. He then turned to the leader. "Calamitystar, not to sound impatient or anything but is everyone here so we can get this show on the road?"
Amberpaw couldn't believe it. Hystericplague didn't know about this trip, and clearly wasn't having it. So why was he here? Oh yea. Because Clamitystar would have dragged him out of his den. Or Hystericplague. Or Poisonrush. Really he could see any of them doing it, claiming he needed the bonding time as well. Didn't they understand that he just wanted to sleep?
When Jayjack's aggressive words rang in his ears, the poor medicine cat apprentice hid behind the aurulents, hoping to not be seen. Even better. This crazy was going with them.
Tatteredraven was getting antsy, waiting for the leader to actually get things rolling, everyone was here but still they hadn't left. She pushed the feeling away and looked down at Amberpaw who had moved to hide when Jayjack first arrived, her eyes glowing in understanding. "Its okay Amberpaw, I wont let him mess with you." She said it only loud enough for the young apprentice to hear, and she meant it.
