Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(I usually do 14 font. Yeah my name is Lakota for little wolf aka big small dog is the actual translation. My actual full name. Is Sungmetutanka Walaka. Which means little white wolf.)
Lionesspaw laid asleep in the nest. Her dreams filled with chasing prey and be cornered by other animals and then back to hunting.
One of the dreams turned dark and she could feel the teeth of a cat grasping her throat and she could feel blood posing out staining her chest and front paws.
This dream is what woke her up in a panic of lashing claws and fangs.

(That's cool information about your name. Do you speak Lakota? I'll try to remember to use 14pt font from now on when I roleplay with you. My husband was visually impaired before he lost his sight completely so I can understand what you have to do to read. He used Zoom Text for a long time but now he uses only Jaws.)
Both Ashensnow's and Graythorn's attentions were suddenly directed toward the nest where Lionesspaw lay sleeping. The medicine cat didn't care why she was agitated. He was only concerned about the webbing on her wounds becoming dislodged. "Stop moving around so much!" he growled as he came forward.
Ashensnow on the other hand was concerned about why she was so frantic. "It's only a dream," she meowed soothingly. "You're safe here in the medicine den. Everything's alright."

Ashensnow came in closer and scowled at the gruff medicine cat. "Don't mind him," she meowed. "He has no nest side manner."
Ignoring the she warrior, Graythorn meowed to Lionesspaw. "Sit back down and let me examine your wounds. And you," he turned to the dusty white she cat, "make yourself useful and bring me some webs from the back of the den."
(That's impressive that you're learning their language. I lived on the Navajo reservation for two and a half years but only picked up a few words.)

Lionesspaw sat back down and allowed the grouchy medicine cat to look at her wounds.
(Yeah, It's a slow process for me. Learning anything is hard, It takes me longer than most to learn. signing is easier, I have my dad to sign with , he doesn't know alot of Lakota, but he is teaching me what he can. I also speak Gaelic (Irish), naturally.)

After Graythorn got the webs from Ashensnow, he quickly redressed Lionesspaw's wounds. "Now lay back down and get some rest."
"Don't let him get under your fur," Ashensnow whispered to her. "I'll check back on you later after I get back from my patrol."
(That's so cool you can speak more than one language. And it's so nice of your father to help you with learning how sign. I took Spanish in high school but can remember very little of it.)

Aspensnow smiled and flicked Lionesspaw's ear with her tail tip as she walked out of the den. Graythorn huffed as he saw the she cat depart. Maybe I'll get some quiet around here now, he thought as he went to the back of his den.
Pantherpaw who was now well rested from her run back to camp, came trotting into the medicine den. "Hi!" she meowed to Lionesspaw. "You look a lot better than you did when I last saw you at the log bridge. I nearly ran my paws off getting back to camp to tell Graygrump about you." She smiled at her joke then looked around to see if her brother was in sight.

"That's great!" Pantherpaw meowed.
~~~
"I heard you calling me names, sister," Graythorn growled as he came out of the herb store. "Is that how you talk about your medicine cat?"
~~~
Pantherpaw rolled her eyes. "That's how I talk about my brother," she retorted with a huff. She turned to Lionesspaw and said, "He thinks he's so high and mighty since he was promoted so young."
~~~
Graythorn glared at his sister but refused to reply to her. "Here's some tansy leaves," he meowed to Lionesspaw. "Eat them up. They'll help you feel better."
~~~
Pantherpaw was taken slight aback as she watched her brother work. He seemed to really care about Lionesspaw and getting her better. Huh? Maybe she had him all wrong.
"Calling anyone names isn't nice even if they are related to you!" She answered before taking the tansy in her mouth and swallowing them. "Thank You Graythorn." She replied respectfully.

Pantherpaw was surprised at Lionesspaw's comment but then realized that just maybe she shouldn't have spoken to her brother the way she had. "Oh, .... um...," she stammered. "I... uh.. guess you're right." She cast a glance over at Graythorn who was listening to their conversation.
~~~
"You're welcome, Lionesspaw," the medicine cat meowed. "I'm glad to hear that some apprentices still show respect to cats in higher positions."
"I wish every cat felt that way," Graythorn meowed casting another glance at Pantherpaw, who by now was feeling even more guilty.
"I'm sorry brother," she meowed, dipping her head. "I will try my best to remember this lesson. Is there something I can do to help?"
"Well there is one thing," the medicine cat replied. "If Lionesspaw is hungry, you can bring her something from the fresh kill pile." He looked at the injured apprentice to see if she was indeed hungry.
At the mention of food, Lionesspaw nodded her head as her stomach gave a loud growl of complaint. "I guess my stomach says it's hungry." She said jokingly. " But yes, If you could find a rabbit. It's take one, please."
"I know." She replied. "Best to eat slow when one is sick or injured, I don't wanna get sick on top of being injured. That would be a very mouse-brained thing to do." She replied as she sat up and waited for the rabbit.
For rabbits, all Pantherpaw could find was a small one and it was buried underneath some birds and squirrels. She dug it out and then brought to Lionesspaw in the medicine den. "Here you are," she said as she placed it near the injured apprentice. "This was the only rabbit in the pile." She hoped it would suffice.
