Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Chimerahunt swore as he leaned to the side, flicking one ear in irritation, but the insect buzzed and circled around his head again. He had been trying to fish for a while now but the bee refused to leave him alone for a moment since it arrived; he wasn't a flower and he didn't look or smell or taste like one, but that did not seem to deter the creature. An ill-tempered growl rolled from his jaws as he rose and stalked further down the bank away from the bee. He settled down again and focused on the water.
She couldn’t help but laugh. Bulrushfur had her attention caught the moment the growl had slipped from his lips. Her eyes seemed to hold a kind light within them, amusement sparkling in their depths. As the bee followed, she shook her head. “You’ve made a friend.”
"Well at least this friend isn't running his mouth," he muttered, ears pinning back as the bee landed on the tip of his nose. He glared at it, then shook his head so it took off once more. "But I'd prefer some alone time."
His ear pricked as she turned away and the deputy looked confused for several beats before he realized what he said. Then he thought about letting her go, but... Chim sighed. "I didn't mean you," he told he reluctantly. "I just wanted to be away from the bee."
“Yeah.” He raised a paw to swat at the bee again as he returned his focus to the water. After a few beats he glanced up at her with a quicker brow—was she coming or not?
His brow arched and he shot her an incredulous look, like he couldn't beelive she just made a pun, but rose to his paws. "Fine," he grumbled, "it's worth a try." He padded toward her. "Where should we go?"
He shook his head as he headed away from the water, the bee merrily keeping close to him for now. "The whole river and that's the spot he wants to drink from?" he asked, but shook his head. "Sure, why not, I don't pretend to understand bees." He could not fathom how she even came up with another pun.
Bulrushfur made her way behind the tom, though careful to keep a distance. She didn’t want the bee to start following her. “You might just become an expert if he decides to make you his best bee friend.” She was enjoying this too much.
"Would you stop that? Honestly, he should be your friend," Chim grumbled. He swatted at the bee and it buzzed away, and he paused. "Think it'll attack if I make it too mad?"
