Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Draven turned his head to Skipstep, expression betraying his disinterest in the tom and his irritation at having been stopped by such an inane question. But he assumed it was somewhat within reason. These other cats never got a warning about anything going on anywhere other than their own little worlds except this one night in the year. Kind of odd, if you asked him, but no one ever did, so what did it matter.
“Jetstar moved on one moon ago,” he rumbled, “and named me in her place.” Jetclaw
The tom turned and approached the other leaders, sitting down in their bizarre group and humming noncommittally. “Sooner rather than later.” woof
OUTSIDERS +
Over at the very edges of the clearing, not yet having stepped past the barrier, Stygian swallowed uneasily and looked around at the cats that were present, including the black tom who despite no longer radiating visible resentful energy, was still thoroughly steeped in it. A cold trickle of unease passed down his spine and he looked over at the she-cat at his side. “I’m not sure this is such a good idea. Wouldn’t it be a bit of a shock, to suddenly reveal yourself after having been in hiding for so long? Your reputation will be dragged through the mud.” Silver eyes winced. Jetclawracer @anyone who notices
Skipstep blinked. "Moved on?" He echoed. His sister just... moved on? Had she left? Been driven out?
... Killed?
"What happened?!" He demanded straightening up all his attention shifting away from the SummerClan cats, but the tom was already walking to sit near the other leaders. "Hey! You can't say a thing like that and just walk away!" ѕнαdow✩
Outsiders The cat formerly known as Jetstar let out a weary sigh. She was very weak still, and a little hazy. Unsure of how many lives she did have as she hadn't fully expected to reawaken after giving away one to Draven. She'd honestly presumed that to be her last.
But no, she lived and was struggling to pick herself back up and put herself all back together.
Even after time had passed since she had granted her leadership to Draven, she had yet to decide where to place her paws.
On one paw SunClan seemed an obvious choice, Littlestar was there along with Skipstep. But...
Returning felt... like a permanent closure on her life outside of SunClan.
Before becoming Jetstar, the then Jetclaw had been driven by a goal of vengeance, questing to find the power to hurt Bloodycrow.
Instead she'd found a new home, a clan she found herself growing to love, and a desire to be better and stronger.
She wasn't sure she wanted to just return to being Jetclaw of SunClan. Jetstar would have to find a new home, and with it a new title in the interim.
There was something she was still looking for in her life. Something she hadn't been able to find in SunClan and thus she'd have to stay away a little longer.
Until it became apparent where her heart truly lied.
"I don't intend to reveal myself." She told Stygian edging back to slip deeper into the shadows, her black face marks making her blue eyes look like they gleamed from the shadows themselves with the rest of her swallowed up in them. "But, we'll need to figure out where to go from here."
"I've never been one to live the life of a loner, soo, I suppose we're shopping for a new clan." Jetstar meowed. "So let us sit back and see which one seems to have the best opportunity." ѕнαdow✩

Swiftclan
As if by request, the large silver tabby tom slipped into the clearing with his entourage. Heavystar had debated on sitting this gathering out. But something in the stars had told him it would be a bad idea. When he saw all the Summerclan and Winterclan cats garnished to the teeth his brows furrowed. It seemed Springclan too had had a change in management. He shrugged, knowing that he too was once in that odd spot. He wondered if Fallclan would be in attendance, and if Hystericstar was still at the helm, though he didnt dwell on it.
He dipped his head to the other leaders as he passed by, finding his place amoung the branches above. There he saw Havilah, and flicked his tail in respect and greeting to his knew, though still secretive neighbor. Below was the previous leader, the whole thing was so curious, but not his business. As he shook out his pelt and settled he shrugged it off, focusing on what was to come.
Your clan looks absolutely magnifi- Weevilspike’s attention had still been on Reapingnight; when he suddenly felt his sister’s tail tighten around his, so desperately vicious that he almost let out a pained, confused sound, his head snapped back to her. As she got herself back under control for the benefit of the leaders, he still saw the tightness in her jaw, felt the way her tail trembled against his like it was the only outlet she had for her distress. “Shh,” he soothed her softly, hunched over slightly at her side to somewhat reduce the height difference between them. His tail-tip settled around hers, gentle enough that it slowly coaxed her grip into soothing as well. Whenever her bravery faltered, he was there to fan the flames high once more and lend her the gentleness she was always too afraid to ask for; he always had been, and he always would be.
I see nothing has changed. He looked up from his sister to briefly pick Doefreckle and Pinesimmer out of the crowd, but his gaze only lingered on them for a moment before returning to Sunstar. He gave her a small smile, encouraging and loving, and drifted his paw up to pull her to him in a brief squeeze of a hug, near-suffocating her in his unruly fur for just a second. “C’mon, Sun-bear,” he told her in a soft murmur, that smile still in his voice and a sad little twinkle in his eyes; it was enough to break his heart, how beautiful his best friend looked on her wedding day, how she was already here when it felt like only days ago they’d been kits in the nursery. If not for the faintest feeling that he was being left behind, his heart would have burst with pride. They’d done everything together all their lives. This would be the first thing he couldn’t be a part of. “Let’s get you married.” He smiled down at her, still holding her against his shoulder. With a little shake and a soft “yeah?”, he let her go.
Standing up, he pushed a stray dandelion back into her crown and tilted his head. “I’ll go find a seat. You look beautiful. Like a real queen from one of mom’s stories. Enjoy your big moment — this one’s just about you, no one’ll even be looking at him.” He jerked his head lightly towards Reapingnight, giving his sister a little grin. “I’ll be right over there if you need me. I love you.” His voice broke slightly and he looked up quickly to the night sky, letting out a soft laugh. “Oh my god, I’m a total wuss. Shut up, shut up, just hurry up and get married.” Laughing again and fanning his face with one paw, head still tipped up slightly, he pulled her into one last, quick hug and then retreated. Still sniffling, he sat down beside Dawnflicker on the other side to Deathreign and wiped his eyes with his paw. More than anything, he wanted to be up there with her, at her side where he always had been since the day they were born — but this, she had to do for herself. And he couldn’t stop smiling, even if the tears continued to flow down his cheeks. woof <3
He huddled near his father, shoulders hunching as he let his nervousness show. You should stay near your mother, it's safer there. He nodded, looking out towards his mother, eyes trailing Nour as she barreled into the crowd. "She told us to come over here," he shrugged, staring up at the tree, then towards the crowd, trying to count each cat individually. Though he believed it may be unsafe, he was aware of just how many different clans were mingling, clans he was so interested in learning about. He could note how they all carried themselves differently, pick out which ones were similar based on pelt and voice and accessories — some had incredible, bright flower crowns, a strange choice in Laertes' opinion, some had crystals that reflected in the moonlight. Absently, he listened to his father talk, ear twitching, but he still had the starry-eyed look.
"Warden?" He asked, though the words were in one ear and out the other. Then, at the mention of his sisters, he looked up at him, shimmied out from beside him, "I am, do not worry Father," in more ways than one, he should note, "I'll go find them." He blinked, a little apprehensive now to actual leave, but he left anyway, noting Cordelia and Matilde still beside their mother, gave her a worried look and hoped she saw, and set out towards Nour. achromatic
SUMMER, WINTER AAAAAA
As much as Doefreckle thought he did, Shadedsun didn't mind the stay in the League, though there would always be a distasteful curl of his lips whenever he even so much as thought of them, perhaps they weren't as bad as they used to be if they took him in. He gave a reassuring look, listened as he and Lily caught up.
Having fun, dearie? He looked towards Doe, the entry of Pinesimmer making the fur on his neck stand in defense, because he just seemed gross, really. Though he wanted too, he stayed put, leaned a little further to listen, murmured a quick, "give him a moment," to Lilydawn as she stared in confusion. He wasn't exactly mad at the situation, nor at Doe, though he did believe Doe could have pulled someone a bit better, certainly. And when he returned, buried his face in Shaded's fur, leaned into it, "me too," he agreed, wrapped his tail around them both. Lilydawn didn't join them, hovered a tad awkwardly at their side, sending daggers to the werido who had been dragged away by Carriondare.
"When can we leave?" She asked suddenly, tired of the way their silence dragged on, "I'm not much a fan of weddings either," she shrugged, leaned in to whisper it like it was some taboo thing, thinking back to her own which, really, was a blur of frustration and anxiety. Then, she looked towards the leaders, eyes landing on Summerclan's, "is that who exiled you? She hardly looks bigger than me — more stuck-up too. Guessing old Ratstar stepped down or something?" She nodded towards the weathered tom beside her. fox

WINTERCLAN The comment made him see her in a different light, she was more attuned to politics than him and he appreciated his insight. "That makes sense, actually," He was surprised at her sudden public intimacy but welcomed it all the same. He had no intentions of going anywhere after all and maybe things would work out between them for the better. "I'm interested to see how this all turns out, however." Jadie SUNCLAN A shiver went down Lacelily's spine at the vivid imagery of something wet, slicky, and slimy down her throat and the she-cat could not hide her face of disgust. "Wait, you eat them?! I didn't even know they were edible." Quickly her attitude shifted towards that of curiosity. "You don't have to prepare them or do anything to them? Are they still alive when you eat them?" Summerclan cats were a little weirder than she'd realized but it was definitely interesting at least. woof
“Is there a problem, Sunstar?” Wintrystar raised an eyebrow at the she-cat before when she’d stopped speaking mid sentence. Her words were spoken with a bit of disbelief and frustration, the sovereign just wanted this all over with. She was down being surrounded by these other clans and their nonesense and truly was not pleased to be giving her son in a political marriage in which he would be leaving the clan to live there. But it was apart of their terms and so a sacrifice she must make. Narrowed eyes roamed the young leader’s form, looking for fault or for her to back out of their agreement, which would lead to war between the two clans if it happened that much Wintrystar was sure of. Watching Doe come and leave, her eyes only narrowed more and her voice became sharper, more agitated. “Do you have enemies already, Sunstar? You implied that your position was secure, but now, I’m not so sure I believe that.”
The sovereign’s eyes followed as Weevilspike left, his words leaving encouragement for the show to begin, but she wanted answers. She would it walk I to this blind and be used in nah means. Wintrystar would have all the information or she who’d call off this alliance, here and now. If the SummerClan leader already had more enemies than NightClan, than she wanted to know before anything continued. She waved Reapingnight up to her side but did not move her eyes from the other leader as she hissed out, “do not try to fool me, Sunstar. I will not be pleased to learn you were not truthful and forthcoming in our meeting.” A threat and a promise all wrapped up in one. Jadiewoof
(getting all of my cats except Reaping done in this reply, Reaping will get his own separate reply, be patient!)
HAVI'S RENEGADE REGIME "We'll see about that," Commander Havilah replied flatly, fixing Shule with an equally intense stare equally and perhaps even super effective against her as he had the exact same forest green gaze as his grandfather Sean. As if on cue, Heavystar joined the rest of the leaders with a nod toward Havilah and not Shule, which was really all the argument he needed to make. While Shule had been off doing Blind Protector knows what, Havilah had been playing a political game, "You can believe you are Commander of the Renegade Regime all you want, but you aren't the one that really gets to decide that, are you?" Honeystorm
SUMMERCLAN Unfortunately for Sunpaw, Racoonpaw simply had not heard her question. His hearing loss was easy to forget most of the time since he heard plenty well one-on-one but, with all of the chatter going on around him, he just couldn't make out individual words. After a few moments he realized the young medicine cat was at his side and turned to face her with a friendly - and very Ratstar-like - smile. He really was the spitting image of his father.
"Oh hi Sunpaw, what's up?"
Eyes on her now, it would be easier to make out her voice among the mews of everyone else. Or so he hoped. achromatic
SWIFTCLAN Fawnpelt confidently strode into the Gathering at Heavystar's side, splitting away from him only when he approached the other leaders. She padded over to the rest of the medicine cats - at least, the ones who were at the usual spot - and said, "Sorry we're late, but it seems we haven't missed too much! Anyone have any idea what's going on with the crowns and the jewels?!" @any medicine cats
WINTERCLAN "Since Reapingnight seems to be playing along, I'm pretty sure things should go well, at least in the beginning. It'll get complicated once they have kits. Wintrystar will probably believe they belong to WinterClan and try to come and get them. That's really the only way this plan will fail," Rosemaryblight purred, she enjoyed having this type of conversation. It really wasn't safe to have anywhere else other than at a Gathering, "So I guess time will tell." uniqcrim
Upong hearing his name, Reapingnight sulked over to Wintrystar's side. He had a similar expression on his face as Sunstar herself, a false smile barely hiding disgust, but his was a bit more solemn. Reapingnight had known for the past moon who his wife was to be and thus had plenty of time to go through the stages of grief all on his own.
"Mother," He said quietly, sitting down next to the Soverein and wrapping his floofy tail around his paws, "I'm sure she didn't mean anything by her reaction just now. Sunstar's just nervous, as am I."
It wasn't a direct challenge by any means. Reapingnight didn't correct his mother, only offer his own opinion. But it was an attempt to look out for his soon-to-be wife that showed he was actually trying. Speaking of, he turned his mustard yellow eyes to the she-cat directly for the first time, and was struck by her beauty... and the fact that she had some other tom clinging to her side. He didn't recognize him but immediately decided he didn't like him. Whoever he was, he had no place standing among the rest of them. Plus Reapingnight was already getting a bit possessive of his mate even though they still kind of hated each other and maybe this guy was a rival.
So, he fixed Weevilspike with an intense smokey-eyed glare that read 'back off, peasant.' woofpaofox
“I’m her brother,” Weevilspike called back to Reapingnight immediately, sounding grossed out — but really, more by the implication that he’d be into a she-cat than the implication he’d be into his sister. Did he look the type? “And gay.” Laughing, he added to Dawnflicker in a delighted undertone, “god, he’s so stupid.”
Though Wintrystar was hissing to Sunstar very threateningly, and he half regretted leaving her side so soon if she still needed him, he did no more than keep a vigilant gaze on her, ready to go back but also aware, as her self-designated PR agent, that she had to stand up for herself to her mother-in-law, by herself. You got this, he mouthed to her reassuringly with a determined little frown and nod when she looked to him past Wintrystar’s back. Then he broke back into a boyish grin and waggled his eyebrows, nodding to Reapingnight with irrepressible, wicked excitement like he was shamelessly saying phwaw, he’s a looker. Wedding night’ll be no hardship.Jadiewoof

Doefreckle was aware of how drained and pitiful he looked, and was shamefully embarrassed by how Lily seemed to be slipping into the role of parent to him. But he also appreciated her attempt at distracting and cheering him up and gave her a small, tired smile, loving and grateful despite the dullness of his eyes. “Mm,” he hummed, and then the quiet dragged on for so long that anyone would have thought he wasn’t going to answer beyond that. But finally, with a sigh like it was taking everything from him, he pushed himself slightly away from Shaded so he was holding up his own weight and replied, “yes, that’s her. She has the right to be stuck-up, my love,” he admonished softly with a smile, “she gave SummerClan back its freedom. It was very hard for her, to step in for her father when he was in his coma, but she did what everyone needed her to do. Not that you don’t have just as much right to be stuck-up.” His tired-eyed smile grew and he reached out to swipe a gentle paw over her ears.
Sighing again, he settled back against Shaded and, reaching out with his tail, curled it around his daughter’s. “Let’s hope this nightmare of a family stops throwing their weight around soon and gets on with the bloody thing. Then we’ll have to leave each other but at least we won’t have had to get the damn measuring stick out.” His voice calmed from its tart acrimony almost as quickly as it had come, reining in to become soft once more. “And when we see each other next, I want to hear all about your own wedding.” He smiled at Lily from where his cheek was still resting against Shaded’s shoulder, reaching out his good paw to brush it over her back. goldcrest
Sunstar let her brother monopolize her attention, turning herself away from the crowd, her betrothed, and Wintrystar's mounting disapproval until all she could see was that unruly mop of dusky fur she affectionately called Bubbie. When he pulled her into a hug, reduced to nothing more than a wisp of cream and orange against Weevilspike, she closed her eyes and just drank everything in, the scents and sounds, the expectations in place for her tonight, and slowly, by letting herself rely on her brother's presence and platitudes, she was able to reconstruct the facade so convincingly she was beginning to fool herself. fox
She would not become the jester in her own kingdom.
When Weevilspike gave her a shake and drifted away, she gave him a dim smile that was all adoring gratitude and purest love. She dropped it as she returned her focus on Wintrystar, enduring the snow queen's lashing frostbite without a flinch, and began to speak when she fell silent again, surprised to find that her reluctant fiance was the one to speak up on her behalf. Huh, maybe he wasn't always so disagreeable then. She gave his words a few moments to diffuse the tension before speaking herself, all practiced chivalry and composure now, her voice nothing but a rapturously appraising hum. "Forgive my rudeness, Wintrystar, I didn't mean to gawk. I was merely taken by how captivating my betrothed looks tonight. Reapingnight," she turned subtly to address the tom, her eyes finding purchase on the crystal pierced through his ear, "your description of WinterClan's crystals were correct, but they do no justice to seeing their splendor up close."
As much as she loathed the tom, even Sunstar couldn't deny he was handsome, objectively speaking. Side by side, they would make a ravishing couple- so long as they made it to the end of tonight. Jadie
She weathered more of Wintrystar's needling, following the Sovereign's gaze to where Doefreckle had stationed himself between Shadedsun and a she-cat bearing a WinterClan crystal around her neck. Apathy froze the emotion in her voice. "I have no reason to deceive you, Wintrystar. Don't pay any mind to the slights of a traitorous exile. He's no threat to me, my position, or my clan- you can be sure of that." pao
She turned her attention away from Deathreign, back up towards Sunstar as the groom made his appearance, gave a slightly more worried look towards the she-cat, then towards Wintrystar's. Her frostiness was off-putting, and even though she had viewed Winterclan is rather good graces since she was a young apprentice (it was simply one of those opinions that hadn't changed, formed from a friendship that, regrettably, didn't last very long), she felt sudden more nervous than before — and it wasn't even her getting married.
God, he’s so stupid. She looked to Weevilspike, laughed and nodded, "I'm convinced Wintrystar only chose him for that fact — surely there was a better tom?" It wasn't difficult to miss the way they both seemed slightly repulsed by each other.
WINTER, SUMMER, WHATEVER
"Oh," Lilydawn hummed, giving one more, lasting glance at Sunstar before turning back to her fathers. She didn't know much about Summerclan's takeover, even though the worry had crawled up on her in the moments after she met Doefreckle at the border, when at the time she had been too angry about her arranged marriage to even bother asking about whatever was going on in his clan. I want to hear all about your own wedding. She made a slightly disgusted face, though she still looked out to try and pick Cottontail out of the crowd, to not avail.
"Wasn't as interesting as this, trust me." And that was saying something. Her own had been infuriating, frustrating due to the fact that she didn't want to feel tied down. She could never understand how the new Summerclan leader could do it willingly.
Throughout most of the conversation, Shadedsun had stayed quiet, tried to enjoy the quick moments with his family before, eventually, they all went their separate ways. He grimaced at the thought of hearing about another wedding, wasn't too fond of the whole arranged thing Winterclan seemed so fond of, and perhaps it was his own visions of love that drove his distaste, the fact he didn't think things like courtship and marriage should be something forced instead of something formed naturally. But he gave them a lazy smile, "at least you didn't have to get too dressed up — I don't expect the League to do too much. I didn't even know how to make a flower crown. They don't even offer classes!" His tone was lighthearted, the last of his bitterness fading briefly as he spoke to them.
Lilydawn peered up at the crown on his head (it could really use a pop of colour, the purple became too crowded), gave a quick, soft, "it's uneven," which caused him to push it back in place. fox

NIGHTCLAN Pinesimmer grinned. "Who am I if not here to make everyone's lives worse? Would you rather I go annoy Sun-whatever and their family after I murdered her dad? I'm sure Rosethorn would be happy to see me." Speaking of, he glanced around to where she was, seeming to notice she wasn't quite the same as before. "Do you happen to know if Rose is pregnant? She looks it." fox
SHULE'S RENEGADE REGIME "Cats also recognized Bloody as leader, and we saw how that went. Don't think yourself a Commander purely because you have a few friends." She commented bluntly. "May just end up getting yourself in a situation you can't get out of. I just hope too many don't pay the price for your foolishness." Jadie
Letting his daughter deal with Wintrystar - this was Sunstar's alliance after all, not his - Ratstar instead sent a pointed glare towards Shule and Havilah, thoroughly annoyed with their petty bickering. They weren't even creative with their insults, it was just stiff and boring. "Are you two jus' gonna argue all night, or can we actually begin the gathering?" He interrupted with a roll of his eye. "It looks like every clan that wanted t' come is already 'ere, so I feel like we're ready t' get started...as long ya can behave like the Commanders ya each claim t' be, instead of a pair o' bickering kits." SHULE'S REGIME Commander Shule considered saying more to Havilah, he knew full well how to press her buttons, but when Ratstar interjected she leaned back slightly, regarding the former leader quietly for a moment before rubbing her face with a hefty sigh. "My apologies, Ratstar." The she-cat offered simply, giving the tom a nod, and turning to him rather than Havilah. She glanced around for a moment to judge the scene before speaking. Unfortunately, she'd missed some of the major developments with the bickering, but perhaps she could salvage what little pride she had. "I notice both SummerClan and WinterClan are finely dressed, so I'm sure you'd rather get on with something more important than listening to our attitudes all night." GidgetGal
“Rose?” Eshek echoed, frowning at Pine with narrowing eyes and an unfamiliar glow of jealousy twisting her chest to knots. “Why would I have any idea? I’ve never even met the,” she quickly changed course, “lovely woman.” Whatever — what did she care? She wasn’t going to act like a possessive… not-girlfriend and feel animosity towards another she-cat just because the lanky idiot she didn’t have a crush on might like her. That so wouldn’t be feminist solidarity of her.
It was just strange, admittedly, to hear him call her by a shortened name. She didn’t know he was particularly close to her. Thought they must have spent a lot of time together in NightClan and then SummerClan. She’d gotten to live with him. But, again, who cares? Maybe he was close to lots of she-cats. Maybe she wasn’t special. Ha! Ha! Whatever, right?! And if she was pregnant, good for her! And if they were Pine’s, good for them!! Eshek had her own kits! She’d never have a mate because calmer, nicer, prettier divorcees like Rosethorn were better prospects but that was fine! More power to her! Yay! She hated men anyway!
What this all looked like from the outside, however, was that Eshek plopped down beside Pinesimmer and just stared unblinking at the ground in complete silence. She’d never thought so hard in her life. Frankly, her head hurt. She felt like she was going to throw up. Honeystorm
WINTERCLAN "And?" Reapingnight replied to Weevilspike, an undeniably chill in his voice. He was hoping the tom could read his mind and answer the question that he didn't ask, which was 'Just what do you think you are doing up here with the rest of the important cats? You're nobody.' He held his head up high and looked down at Weevilspike so maybe it could be inferred that this confrontation had to do with his thinly veiled inferiority complex.
With Weevilspike now just out of the picture, Reapingnight turned his attention back to Sunstar and lit up when she gave him a compliment. He really loved those, "Your flowers don't look that bad tonight, either."
He thought it was more that a compliment, anyone else would take it as being passive aggressive. Whatever. There were a few different reasons his family was yeeting him to SummerClan and his unlikable personality was likely one of them. wooffox
HAVILAH'S RENEGADE REGIME "You're missing my point," Havilah said bluntly, fixing Shule with an intense glare, which was interrupted by Ratstar a limb below him. He was happy for the intrusion, though, as speaking to Shule any longer would surely result in him losing a few brain cells, "That's a good point, Ratstar. Would you like the honor of calling the Gathering, or should I?" HoneystormGidgetGal
Faith“Very well.” Wintrystar day back, head held high and shoulders squared off. She moved to face the crowd and eyes her soon to be daughter-in-law from the corner of her eyes. “Shall we begin then?” The knight of stars would be officiating the ceremony, as was custom in WinterClan, and something Wintrystar had made sure would be done. Her son was of their religion and she expected him to remain faithful to it even cat away and thus would have him married within the same religion. It was only proper. “Arcticsong, if you would come forward.” Jadiewoof
Summerclan Noticing Pinesimmer's gaze, Rosethorn turned her head, focusing straight on the proceeding wedding ceremony and drawing her feathery tail closer to her swollen stomach. Even if he did notice, she was still holding onto the hope that he wouldn't care- that he wouldn't piece together the timeline and realize that he might, in fact, be the only candidate for the role of father.
