PLAY FOR THREAD AMBIENCE
She had suffered lonelier days than these, she supposed. After all, she had come from the most desolate place in the region, hadn't she? If she hadn't given these clan cats a valid reason to hate her before, they certainly had one now. It hadn't been long since the murder, since Bluepaw's crimson blood had stained Shiva's bengal paws. A week or so at most. Through her unnerving silver gaze, she turned her paw over to stare at her pad. It was clean now, almost as though it had never been the one to strike the other Acecoop down.
The last living Acecoop glanced serenely over a small streamline brook that rippled through the territory, quiet and calm with the smallest of waterfalls. Shiva watched the water cascade over the rock through narrowed eyes, and then shrugged to herself.
She had always hated it here, in Brookclan. For a time, she had truly tried to embrace the culture, the gods, the system, her work -- whatever she could. She did everything to try and fit in, and time and time again, the cats of Brookclan had treated her like she was dirt. They treated her like she had committed a cardinal sin before they had even seen her face.
So Shiva had given them a reason. But she was not as strategic as her mother, Vera, nor as stealthy as her brother, Arden. The kill had been ill timed and poorly constructed -- cats were looking at Shiva as the prime suspect. They would have probably accused her even if it hadn't been her. The Acecoop sighed.
Let them come for me, she thought with a small smirk. Let them try to kill the daughter of Vera E'tani. Let my mother massacre them all over again.

Perhaps Shiva had alienated herself from the majority of BrookClan, her own mentor in Springlockedgrave included, but as it were, there were those who weren't so picky about making friends with a suspected murderer. Or maybe he sought her out solely because of the reputation she had. After all, he was known for his fair share of trouble, including a few 'pranks' that may or may not have been attempts on his fellow clanmate's lives, though such things had ceased since he'd been promoted to Kadet. This was not of his own volition of course, but when one's mentor was Tsar Kerrigan, you had to be just a touch more cautious with your mischief.
Today, though, he was free to do as he pleased. At least, the flower crown wearing she-cat hadn't tracked him down to drag him halfway across the territory for training, so the thick furred tom took that to mean he was being left to his own devices. That meant getting into trouble, or searching it out at the very least, for with Cesare, trouble was never far behind. More so now that his line had been promoted to Dvorayne. He was not definitively above the majority of BrookClan, all without doing so much as existing. Not to mention his nutty grandmother's position as Vrachii. Poor Shiva, having to be subjected to such an obnoxious, and rather useless, feline.
Lucky for her, she wouldn't spend the day alone, for the Kadet had chosen to spend time with the Acecoop. They had had many opportunities to speak, but neither had really put forth effort to interact with the other, having better things to do than make idle conversation. That would end today, as he took the first steps towards creating a relationship with the prime suspect in the investigation of Bluepaw's death.
He practically glided through the territory, his body moving with a dangerous grace, thick, silver bengal fur catching the light as he neared her, hardly making an effort to hide his presence. Why bother when the entire point was to speak with her anyways. The corner of his mouth curled up, a dark flicker to his electric eyes as he pulled up beside her, taking her features in with a sweep of his gaze. "Something on your mind?" Cesare questioned, sounding quite a bit less interested than was polite, not that he'd ever had a reputation for such things.
