Burningpaw felt awful at dusk nowadays. This wasn't an abnormal thing, he tended to feel awful a lot even after not taking medicine for months. This was a different kind of awful though. It was like a chill that wracked his body. He couldn't sit still, even more than usual. He now wandered the forests of Sunclan, with no sense of direction or purpose. Wandering was generous, he was more stumbling. It was a few days into the new year and the rest of Sunclan just stared at him like some sort of animal. He didn't know what was going on, they wouldn't tell him. He had paws placed on him constantly, asking the Sun God to cure him. It seemed to fall on deaf ears as he hacked up a cough. It was deep and phlegmy but he only spat out spit as he leaned against a tree to steady to himself. Whatever was going on, he couldn't control it. And it felt like it would consume him again.
