Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
ashestoasheswrenpansyѕнαdow✩JetclawrikastrawberrycupidHoneystormJadie @samiam cookie Here is just a little plot thread to get the differences between the two mercenary ranks going. No one is required to reply, I am simply tagging all users who have mercenaries. Mercenary Superior Symphorosa looked out over the main camp. After the battle with WinterClan, Shule had been taken prisoner and then Nottingham had more or less disappeared. The scout had to be around somewhere, but at the moment was not around to help lead the Regime. So the smoke tabby was left in charge. She was confidant she could be successful, though a little bit of her worried that others would not respect her because she had only been around for a few moons. Hoping to prove them wrong she gathered her mercenaries after sending off the scouts to hunt and assigning tasks to the privates in bootcamp. There would be a few changes going on with the cat immediately under her control.
The skills these cats had in fighting were important, but not always needed. So they would now be given a secondary type role. Those who were stronger would of course help with tunnel maintenance and would also gather supplies. Those who were perhaps a little smaller would work with creating traps and other inventions, things to help both scouts and the auxiliaries. It would be a lot to ask of these cats, to take on another role but things had to get done and she couldn't do everything herself.
"Mercenary Superior Symphorosa," Mercenary Sapphira mewed, bowing her head to show respect as was customary,"I apologize that I have failed to properly introduce myself to you since your promotion to Superior. Sapphira Vellicorpse, at your command."
The silver tabby feline was the type of cat who for all appearances was perfect feline and solider. Stunningly beautiful, extremely sweet and compassionate, but also a true force to be reckoned with who had no qualms about drawing blood if her superiors demanded her to do so. To be fair, her life had been rather peaceful, so she hadn't had to make those gut-wrenching decisions that defined a cat; however, her perfect report card thus far was a good indicator that she would choose correctly.
"I am eager to hear your announcement. Commander Shule has been making many changes lately, so I imagine you have been, too?"

It was only for a meeting like this that Huntleigh would wrench himself away from his sudden kits. Finding the litter on the way to Dayclan, finders keepers was declared and the tom suddenly had the four to deal with. Granted, he was also with them to try and keep away from Tundra and Braelynn. The fight with Winterclan had messed him up a bit, but Huntleigh was always too proud to accept the help offered to him. He was too busy stewing, trying to think of some way to get back into Winterclan and get his grandmother back.
Notorious for a bad temper with a sweet side if he liked you enough, Huntleigh Eerie sat more towards the middle as he watched Sapphira introduce herself. Really, if Symphorosa didn't know him, that was an issue he didn't care to resolve right here and now. He clicked his claws together as he waited for the announcement.

Alese Soulaine walked to the meeting spot and quietly dipped his head in respect toward Mercenary Superior Sympharosa. The cinnamon and white tom sat down once again replaying the battle in his mind. Cardinalglow had been a surprisingly worthy adversary with both cats having left the battle in scars and wounds. But he had technically lost and failed his group. Sure both Dayclan and RR had to retreat yet he still felt that hebcould have done better. The weight of his loss had been stuck with him. He needed to get better...needed to become stronger for those he loved. He may have lost to Cardinalglow however the tom had left with slight respect for the other. Alese himself was left with the reminder of his battle with a new wound that would become a scar across his right eye and side of face. Various tender spots here and there still lingered through out his body. This experience had left him humbled and became more passionate in his desire to become a cat worthy with the title of being a mercenary.

Symphorosa nodded in response to each greeting. She was to busy trying to figure out the best way to tell all these cats that they would now have other duties as well. Granted these new duties shouldn’t conflict to much with their current ones. She planned for the larger of her mercenaries to focus on tunnel upkeep while also saving materials that could help with construction. The smaller ones would help build traps and take down the larger and more dangerous predators. Right now as much as she wanted to get Shule free she had to think of the group first. They needed to make sure their home was secure if WinterClan planned to attack them in revenge even if the Regime had been driven back in the first battle.
"Symphorosa?" Sapphira asked, cocking her head to the left, causing a small cascade of her long silver fur to be freed from her shoulder. She was concerned that so many cats had gathered in one place yet no one but herself had spoken. Her superior's silence thus far only cemented her concerns. She hoped that she had no missed something in prior meetings, but she didn't mind sacrificing her pride a bit to find out the truth of what was going on, even if it made her look dumb, "Is something wrong?"

With a soft sigh she figured she should start the meeting. “While there is not an immediate problem, I’m hoping to prevent any problems.” The smokey she-cat looked over her mercenaries, quite pleased with what she saw. Her plan would go well if they all could just try it. “I’m addition to fighting and protecting the regime everyone will be assigned an additional task.” Pausing for a moment, she did expect some sort of grumbling. “Those who are the larger and strongest will be assigned with tunnel upkeep. Those who are smaller will assist the scouts in hunting, manually dealing with traps and predators. Any questions?” It was perhaps a very brief statement, but she wasn’t one for too many words.
"Wow, that's kind of a big deal," Sapphira's first reaction escaped her mouth before she had the chance to really think it though. Her ears flicked back slightly and she bowed her head to her superior immediately, "I mean no offense, Symphorosa, I think this is a good idea. I'm just not sure how everything will work. None of us have had any training on tunnel maintenance or trap setting yet. Who will be the one in charge of that.. you?"
