( Following Shule's announcement suggesting they leave, she has since gathered the Regime, and they've made their way to the Underground Forest, located beneath DayClan. Once they arrive, Commander Shule chooses to settle them directly beneath DayClan's camp and the surrounding area, the Wisteria tree's branches and stone columns making a spacious area for the group to lay claim to as a temporary camp of sorts. After the clan finally settles in, she makes her first announcements in their temporary home.
Note: Due to the Underground Forest being located beneath DayClan, feel free to rp your characters visiting with DayClan cats, or your DayClan cats coming to visit, so long as they've been given the permission of the Commander, Chaman, or a Superior, and promise not to hunt!
UNDERGROUND FOREST DESCRIPTIONThe underground forest was a gift from DayClan to the Regime after they saved DayClan from enslavement. The forest is located underneath a large chunk of DayClan’s territory. The entire forest is made of stone and tree roots, it’s almost impossible to find the dirt flooring. Here birds, squirrels, and other wildlife live with very few predators allowing for some easy kills. Most scouts are forbidden from hunting here except for training or in times of great need. The underground forest is used as a secret last resort in times of great hunger. However it is a pleasant dark place to hang around for any Regime cat.
UNDERGROUND FOREST ANIMALSLapwings, thursh, doves, bats and finches are found high in the branches of the forest, while mice, squirrels, moles, gophers, lizards, and frogs are found on the forest floor. The lake is home to several small schools of minnows. Occasionally badgers will find their way in and need to be lured out by trained Mercenaries.
UNDERGROUND HEADQUARTERSLocated directly beneath DayClan's camp, the Regime's new Headquarters and camp is a bunch of roots and stone columns all tangled together. The gaps or entanglements in the roots, offshooting caverns, and even flat plateaus along the cavern walls make up dens. Due to the lack of proper posts, cats mostly sleep wherever they'd like, though they tend to group up in areas by their rank.
NORTH, Scouts. This is the driest area, and raised above the rest of the group. 'Steps' of stone lead up to a thick entanglement of moss covered roots, and most Scouts simply climb the roots to settle in the comfortable nooks and crannies. Thanks to this vantage point, it's easy for them to spot dangers to the Regime.
EAST, Guiders. Along the east side, the roots make an arch over a large river, faintly glowing stones above the river giving the area a comforting cool glow over the sandy banks. Cats have built their nests and herb stores among the roots here.
WEST, Auxiliaries. The dampest section of HQ. Semi muddy, water trickles out of the random small caverns and holes in the earth where cats have made their nests, so when a dry space is found, there tends to be a race to place one's nest there.
CENTER, Tykes & Origins. The center of HQ is mostly mossy rocks and winding roots. Nests are made in comfortable spaces, and Tykes can generally play freely without having to worry too much as the rest of the Regime surrounds them. When meetings are called, the Commander speaks from the largest rock in this section of the Headquarters.
SOUTH, Mercenaries, and Remaining Ranks. Where the east and west side waters meet, they pour down into a clear pool with rocks, a few fish swimming lazily in the waters. Stepping stones in this pool lead to a small tunnel that goes under the central area, a few branching caverns making up the only truly secluded and separate dens.
RANKS UPDATEShule is making all capable cats Scouts in this thread. So, if your character was moved to Scout in the recent AC, they are now a Scout! Auxiliaries and their Specialties also take effect! However, all other rank specialties are not formally created yet, and will be added in later RPs. So you can now RP your chars in their proper ranks, albeit lacking their Specialty. c:

The Regime had more or less settled. Well, in the barest sense of the word. They didn't even have nests yet. Rather, they'd just chosen a thick gathering of roots and stone that Commander Shule thought would make a good home. The north area was raised to spot intruders, to the east was a river that would provide sufficient water, the west was rather muddy with a steady stream, but it would do, the south merged the two sources of water into a pool with some fish, and the center, where she stood atop the tallest rock in the area was covered in comfortable moss and tangles of roots. It wasn't nearly as spread out as their old home, but it would do until they found something new. For now, cats were lounging in the central area, those who'd been exploring slowly trickling in as they were gathered by family who noticed the Commander seemed intent on speaking.
"Welcome to the Underground Forest. Until we find a sufficient place to live permanently, this will be our new home. Tomorrow morning, I will let Glowstar know we've taken up residence in these tunnels. For tonight, we will hunt and rest, we've had a long journey to get here. There are also a few announcements I have to make. The first of which, is filling positions which have been vacant far too long. Symphorosa Starkfield will be our Mercenary Superior. Braelynn Kinsley our Chaman. Tundra Silvius our Guider Superior, and Xylina Sylvaine will be replacing Kaisra Eerie as Sentinel." She stopped a moment, allowing anyone who wished to cheer on their fellow Regime soldier to do so, before beginning again once it quieted.
"Our next announcements are as follows. All cats who can hunt, are henceforth Scouts. The Regime's downfall in recent times has been due, in part, to the fact we simply do not have the hunters to keep us fed. Except for the select few cats who will be drafted to remain or become Mercenaries, and those already Sentinels or Spy, all cats must be a Scout." Shule took a breath but began again before anyone could interrupt, her tail raising high to indicate the group must remain silent, "If one is deemed unable to hunt due to disability, age, or lack of ability, and is not selected to become or remain a Mercenary, they will be trained in the way of the Guiders. And those who can't cut it in any of those, well, the Regime is forging a new name for them, Auxiliaries. This rank will replace Raisers, and have two subclasses, one of which will be the Raisers, whose duties will be the same as always. The other will be that of Blacksmith. They will make the traps or other things as needed for the Regime to use, so that even the least among us can serve the Regime to the fullest. Veterans will be Auxiliaries, an allowed to pick from these two specialties. The Raiser Superior will be called Origin Superior from now on, and Sean will remain in this position. He will be tasked with overseeing the Raisers as usual, but also be tasked with matchmaking and bringing in kits to the Regime, so we always have a steady flow of tykes. The Sentinels will rotate to oversee Blacksmith Auxiliaries."
It was a massive change to the Regime's structure. Once upon a time, Guiders and Raisers could only be she-cats, but it was another thing altogether to completely change such a large part of the way the Regime worked. Shule had previously had all ranks train as hunters when prey was scarce... but she'd never forced them to be full time Scouts, until today. The Commander quieted, waiting for the Regime's reaction, though she expected quite a few complaints. There were many cats who would not be pleased to be forced into a rank they had no interest in, but she felt it was necessary for the Regime's future survival, and didn't intend to budge on the matter.
