There was nothing that Lostflower loved more than a sunny day. The golden rays always seemed to infuse her, turning her soft white coat into a golden cloak, making her feet fall lighter and her smile grow wider. Of course, she was always smiling. She was just smiling extra today.
It was at the peak of her good mood that she saw a clanmate she didn't know very well- Waspcrush. Since nice weather heralded good fortune, Lostflower decided it was time to make a new friend. Head up and tail swishing good-naturedly, she made her approach. "Good afternoon!" The tall she-cat trilled, her whiskers twitching.

(i'm here. have been the whole time)
Why was Waspcrush out at this time of day? Her schedule had taken a 180 since joining Nightclan. Now she was walking around at Night and not bumping into things at much. The calico couldn't help but be surprised that her view of Nightclan has shifted so much since she joined. And it hadn't even been that long. Today, something pulled her out of bed early. She couldn't figure out what. The sun blinded her, it was so bright than how she remembered it. As she walked, she did find herself missing its warmth. Now she found it through the bodies of her clanmates. As refreshing as it was, she couldn't stop the yawning and the tears pricking at the corner of her eyes.
Lostflower hit her at a meh time, right after another yawn. Sticking her paw out in the sun, she considered it with the intensity of a sloth staring down a leaf. "I guess it is. This is more morning to me nowadays."
"Something about the sun always makes me happier," Lostflower said brightly. Her sleep schedule was erratic, never consistent, meaning she saw all times of day. Night could be nice, with a full moon and a thousand stars, but it could always be foreboding and terribly frightening. Nothing could hide in the daytime, not for long.
"What are your plans for the day?" Her question was nonchalant, though she had made up her mind to tag along with Waspcrush if possible. Sitting here had made her lonely, and she wanted some companionship for the afternoon.

Waspcrush tried to smile, though her tiredness made it fall flat. She couldn't get over the warmth and the light that stung in her eyes. The sun was nice but it was too large, too strong. The world was almost too clear, she wanted to not see again. "Well, I would have liked to keep sleeping. So I guess I'm gonna... -yawn- try and not fall asleep until the sun goes down. Which -nother yawn- doesn't seem very likely." She needed to figure out what to teach her apprentices next anyway.
"Well, if you want to have a conversation or get out for a walk, I'm here to help you stay awake," Lostflower said brightly, draping her tail over her paws as she sat. Waspcrush seemed tired, so Lostflower didn't take her lack of energy personally. There would be plenty of time for her to wake up.
"Don't you teach some apprentices? Which ones are yours? I haven't had the chance to teach any yet." Perhaps that was a good thing, with her bright and bubbly mood switching to fear and despair at the drop of a leaf.

"Trust me, I couldn't if I wanted to." The calico collapsed to the ground, muscles grateful for the stop. She'd have to go to Turbulentsea to make sure this didn't happen again. Still, it was nice to talk to someone new for a chance. Waspcrush had now stuck to the few people she knew, who at least pretended they liked her. So win. "I have Shadowedpaw and Spiritedpaw." The two tended to run her ragged, always having too much energy. Tonight, she might just let them go solo. See what they could do.
