Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. For such bright eyes, she seemed empty on the inside. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, but hers was so damaged. She’d rather others see nothing than the pain inside. And so that was what could be seen as she sat a tail-length away from the tell-tale marks of a border. Nothing. Her feathery tail lay curled over her paws – a small part of her wanted to hide them, certain the stain on her claws would never truly fade even if the color had long since returned to their typical silvery-white – while her eyes scanned back and forth over the unusual territory before her.
She was used to living in the forest and wilds, far from Twoleg interference, but even on these outskirts she could still see signs of those creatures’ effect on the land. It was strange, almost unnatural to her, but despite that she couldn’t bring herself to feel bothered about any of it. She didn’t care what this place looked like. She only sought to disappear into a place where, maybe, she could someday heal and be her own cat. She kept her head held high as she waited, more out of habit than any real pride or confidence, as she waited for signs of cats on the far side of the border.
Through the shadows emerged a looming figure. He made almost no attempt to hide his presence, save for perhaps a lightening of his steps. His giant form lead him to either crush the obstacles in his path or move over them with ease. There was something just naturally intimidating in his gigantic, stoic, wild form, his appearance all too reminiscent of wild cats with his spotted and stripped Savannah pattern that marked his pelt. It was only when his piercing orange eyes fell upon the foreign she cat that he stopped in his path, looking her up and down with a lack of any true emotion marking his features.
There was a brief silence, a heaviness to the air, only to be broken by a confused but amiable enough, "Well, hello." The tom gave the strange she cat an awkward wave of his tail in greeting. Leonix took another couple seconds to examine the stranger, not exactly sure how to react. It was customary to shoo a trespassing cat, or those who seemed intent of causing mischief away, but the she cat showed no tell-tail signs of either. It made what his next move should be confusing, only made more clouded by the fact this wasn't his typical duty. As a caretaker he wasn't as use to preforming the usual combatant, and he has really only been out to hunt up a nice bite of prey for the sucklings. Normally he wouldn't have strayed near so far from camp, but hunting had proved strained that day for some reason.
"Uh, would you happen to need something? If not I'll have to ask you to back up a bit because you're awfully close to our territory." Leonix tried hard to make his point in a way that was both sympathetic but mildly intimidating, but in reality every word was pinched by an almost tangible awkwardness.
