Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(aberrantfox ) Crimsonrose had tired of WinterClan. After WinterClan's past ghosts had nearly cost her Mysterypaw and their leadership continued to prove incompetent. And Mysterypaw deeply grieved for the loss of Wolfpaw. When she'd learned Leatherfern had been spotted near MoonClan, it was clear to the large dark ginger she cat her time in WinterClan had come to an end.
Besides, through some careful spying she'd learned that without her, Elyon had grown to become a fine cat in the league. Extremely dangerous, an assassin. While young Mysterypaw seemed stuck in Crimsonrose's own shadow.
Thus for her daughter's own good she sent Mysterypaw to DayClan. Glowstar was a strong fighter, a warrior Crimsonrose would love to one day meet in battle. And she knew it was there her daughter would flourish to reach greater heights, while not being too far out of Crimsonrose's reach.
It did though free up Crimsonrose to go seek out her old wayward student. She had regretted not being able to assist when Sweetpine overthrew him. Mysterypaw had been a kit at the time, and had come down with a sickness. Sweetpine had urged Crimsonrose to go fetch medicine for her ailing daughter as the medicine cat had had none at the time.
She should've realized it was all a trick for Sweetpine to overthrow Leatherstar.
He'd gotten his after Crimsonrose had bought his trust, she'd then thrown him out, and it was quite satisfying to see him finally go.
But it had been too little too late to reinstate Leatherstar, he was gone by that point. And Mysterypaw too young for Crimsonrose to move. Not just yet at that time.
She moved to sit on the very edge of MoonClan's border, near where the Forest Clans would gather together. She figured this would be a good place to find Leatherfern. Her tail twitched, she smiled with bemusement. She was curious to see how her student was doing.
He was still alive, she knew that much, the bond they shared strong. She'd felt his death at the paws of Foxstar, his shared pain of Littlebird's suffering. But she'd taken it all stoically. All to give Mysterypaw the home she deserved.
Now it was time for her to return to Leatherfern's side at long last.

"Are you on a bounty hunt Crimson?" Leatherfern pressed out of the shadows from behind his longtime friend and companion. "MoonClan seems awfully far for a causal walk from WinterClan." he purred in amusement as he padded to her side and sat down beside her. His emerald gaze scanning the brush ahead of them. He hadn't smelled any of the Forest Clans in the clearing for some time now. When the gathering time had come and gone he grew curious and was now gathering what information he could on their current predicament.
"I left, I was growing rather tired of the constant turnover of leadership lately, and truthfully after you were gone nothing's been of interest to me." Crimsonrose said stretching out letting out a sigh at the crack of stiff joints being loosened up. "And with Mysterypaw now old enough to be in a clan all on her own, I figured it was time I get back to you. It seems you've been needing me around again."

"Oh you know. Bothering Littlebird, driving skipstep crazy, meeting my kits and trying to earn some ounce of affection from them." he meowed as if there wasn't much going on. "I missed you though. I miss Echodrop and the kits too. I don't even know if they are still alive." he sighed settling back down into a lounging position. His heart aching for his first mate. While not the kind of love he had for littlebird, they complimented each other the clouds graced the mountain like a cape. Her death had shattered him and led to his straying nature.
