Earthborne allowed the moon's light to shine on her decadent long pelt. It matched well with the monochrome underbrush, turned grey by the reflection of the sun. Colors seem to drain at night.. the she-cat thought to herself as she lazily laid in a branch of a tall tree.
Suddenly, there was movement in the undergrowth, ferns and brambles twitching as something was making their way through it. Then, in the light of the moon, came a shape of a kitten out of the cover of the forest. He hadn't seemed to notice the cat lounging in a tree. He was focused on the forest floor, darting his eyes and head back and forth at every small sound. Mudkit had snuck out of the nursery and out into the forest out of curiosity. He had worn his mother out earlier that day so that she would be too tired to notice him leave. Even his siblings were too tired to come along. He knew it would be dangerous to be out there on his own but he didn't care. He was curious as to what was beyond the walls of the camp.
