With every step he embraced a new persona, and perhaps that was normal, but it was exhausting. In the boundaries of the camp he was the hulking predator, the hotheaded bengal lurking in plain sight looking to ruin someone's day; outside their borders, he was softer, and smiled like he had never before; in the misty realm of their woods in between, he wasn't sure. The dark spotted tom rested at the edge of the Crimson Quarry, his smoldering gaze subdued as the hours went on, contemplating the scarlet waters swirling before his muzzle as if they held the answers he sought. But there was no Valkyre. No, there never was. His lip curled, and the dark brown tom rose to his paws and shook himself out. What kind of fool looked answered in a pool of water, anyway? Not this fool!

The comment was unwelcomed, likely unwanted, but that was how she entered any conversation. Was it possible to be invited into any conversation in the league? She didn't think so, and she wasn't going to wait to find out if the invitations were coming any time soon. Elleth padded, close enough to be heard, but not to close any kind of distance. She wasn't dumb enough to shove herself beside someone she'd never met outside of camp, and even in camp she wasn't always so gutsy.
