Nottingham picked away at yet another smattering of rocks, pebbles, and sand in the creek floor. Sometimes there were shinies hiding about in those waters, but you had to have a good eye for it. Luckily, her large eyes were perfect for the job. She let out a small purr as another pretty pebble, almost like crystal but she knew it was quartz, caught her attention. It would soon be joining many others of its kind in her collection. The Superior shifted through the grit for a few more minutes, soaking in the early hints of Spring as she searched. At least they weren't doomed to this blasted cold forever.
