Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Specklekit was examining the nest build for his siblings and him. He had pulled it apart to look at the structure, the moss and the fluffy feathers, but he was growing tired. The construction of the nest, as it turned out, wasn't very interesting to him. The little tom gave up on his task and wandered absently toward the entrance to the nursery instead, leaving the partially destroyed nest in his wake, and leaned against the wall and stared out into the camp. Maybe his siblings were around and doing something fun he could join in?

That mossball never saw it coming. Twilightkit artfully pounced on the ball and smothered it, squishing the life out of it. She sat back and looked at her handiwork smugly and began to wash a paw from the dirt she had accumulated during her play. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted movement from the entrance of the nursery. She whipped around to see who it might be. She purred in delight at the sight of Specklekit and quickly padded over to cover his ears in licks.
Slowly, Specklekit smiled. His sister could always cheer him up; he liked her the best, though he wouldn't tell his other siblings that! He ducked his head under her tongue with a soft, playful growl, and nudged her back with his muzzle. "What are you, my mother?" he complained. "I wasn't still sleeping, don't worry. I was.... uh..." he thought of the mess he'd left in the den. ".... getting ready."

Turbulentkit's eyes fluttered open, and at first he thought he was dreaming. After a few seconds of blinking he realized it wasn't really dreaming. There really was moss, dirt, and feathers scattered every where. He shook his head, and slowly rose to his paws "What in StarClan's name happened here?" he asked, looking around. Did the nest just explode or something?
His ear twitched back as he heard the exclamation from the den. "Oops," he mumbled. Someone had noticed. "Uh... nothing?" he called back to Turbulentkit, loudly.
Skykit's ears pricked and the blind she cat lifted her head at Turbulentkit's exclamation. Getting up she came over to where the other kit was standing bumping up against his side briefly before turning to survey the damage. "Hmm..." She touched some of the parts of the nest trying to investigate them. "They smell of Seakit, Shadekit, Twilightkit, but Specklekit's scent is particularly strong. I think maybe he was trying to dismantle it? Maybe a thorn got in?" She asked turning towards Turbulentkit and shrugging.
Shadekit poked his head in, "What's all the- hey! What'd you do to our nest!" He demanded stomping up to Skykit.
"What'd I do?" Skyikit said. "I was investigating it, I woke up to this. Go ahead and smell it for yourself, if I'd wrecked it, it would smell like me. But it doesn't

Turbulentkit nodded in agreement with Skykit "Yeah your right Skykit, though why your nest is scattered I don't know" he to had caught onto the scent of Speckledkit as well. He walked out of the nursery and walked over to the other tom "So...wanna try that explanation again?" he asked skeptically.
Skykit followed after Turbulentkit keeping close to him to avoid Shadekit coming to sit behind him, putting on her most stern expression... that was aimed at the far wall. She was still getting used to orienting on things when she was blind.
Uh oh. Specklekit grinned guiltily at the mass of kittens that were gathering. "Well..." he caught sight of Skykit's glare, and his brother, and his ears slowly pinned back. His grin fell apart and he took a step back. "I was looking. At how he nest was made. I thought maybe it would be good to know. For when we're apprentices."

The thin tom nodded his head in agreement "that would be a good thing to know, but I think there are better ways to figure it out than tearing a nest apart... Now the apprentices are going to have to remake it... Unless, you want to try to use what you learned and we could it back together ourselves" if they put it back themselves, it would save the clan's apprentices a lot of trouble. It couldn't be that hard... right?

Twilightkit rolled her eyes at Shadekit and Turbulentkit. "Listen. If Specklekit didn't mean to mess it up, he didn't so back off. We'll just get rid of it and get new moss." She said sternly.
Brightkit woke to the sound of kits arguing and found moss on the top of her head. She sleepily padded over to Skykit. "Hey, uh, what's going on?"
Specklekit wrinkled his muzzle in distaste. "I was going to put it back together, but I got bored so I stopped. I'm not meant to put nests together," he informed the other kit. He glanced over at Twilightkit and nodded in agreement. "It isn't a big deal."
"Specklekit made a mess and left it for everyone else to clean up!" Skykit told Brightkit letting out a huff. "Its not a big deal, but it needs to be dealt with, and being bored is no excuse to leave it a mess!" Skykit said.

"Agreed" Turbulentkit nodded towards Skykit "It is one thing to make a mess, but it is another to leave it for another cat to have to fix. You do the crime, you do the time" he giggled a little at the rhyme he had come up with.
Skykit bristled sightless blue eyes blazing. "I might be blind, but I dont leave messes for other cats because i got bored. Besides though i was born blind, your brother chooses to be a mousebrain!" She spat before turning and darting away to Brightkit, "Come on lets go do something," her voice tight with rage and hurt she said nudging her friend to urge her to make a quick getaway. Upsetted by the implication that she couldnt do something because of her blindness.

Seakit blinked, watching the spectacle unfold since his brother had decided to tear up a nest. He wasnt sure what was going on, especially since he had just woken up, all the other kits making noise causing him to ruse from his deep sleep. Upon seeing his brother and a mound of moss he knew though. And he was always called the trouble maker, he pouted, wondering what the others were going to do.

Brightkit looked in horror at Twilightkit before walking away quickly with Skykit. "How awful of her! You know you're great Skykit! You can do way more than she can and way better." She gave her a friendly nudge. "And way prettier too."
Twilightkit gave an indifferent huff before gathering up the moss. "Hey, grab those pieces. I don't want any of the queens yelling at us." She headed towards the dirtplace to get rid of it.
