( Following the events of the EXPLOSION. An explosion was accidentally triggered HERE, one that created a hole from the surface to the tunnels, allowing the lake's water to pour in. Not only did flood the tunnels, but the smoke left many cats with coughs from smoke inhalation, if not missing from collapsed tunnels or disappearance in the chaos. At current, the Regime is housing itself in a few larger tunnels near the southern DayClan border that have been less affected by the water. )
It was makeshift at best, with cats sleeping along the walls of tunnels with little moss if any for bedding, coughs they didn't have herbs to properly treat keeping some cats awake in the night. There was little they were able to salvage from their previous camp at this moment, some living plants and a few bodies, but it was still too dangerous to truly search, everything felt unstable beneath their paws, and they hadn't even had the chance to see how the surface was doing.
It had been a week now, but Shule's ears still rang in the darkness as if the sound would never leave. She was tired and groggy, but they had to do what they could. Keep the injured as comfortable as possible, and try to get enough prey to feed the group, as well as go collect herbs from anywhere they could get them in an attempt to stave off infections.
Southpaw dropped some of the prey off at on of the injured cats, not saying a word as she went back to fetch another. The usually argumentative and spirited she-cat had fallen silent since the explosion. Refusing to speak to anyone, acting like simply a shell of herself. She went through the motions, but it was easy to see that she wasn't herself. Not even arguing with the Commander when ordered to help, just mindlessly following the order that she had been given.

The Commander had been easier on Southpaw in the days since. Or maybe she herself was just too tired to fight her granddaughter right now. She padded up to the Cadet, placing a paw lightly on her shoulder to alert the other of her presence. "Why don't you take a break, Southpaw." The mostly black feline suggested gently, her shoulders slumped slightly despite all attempts at looking professional as it nothing was wrong.
Scout Superior Havilah's ears twitched when he heard Commander Shule offer Southpaw a break. Had she gone mad? In times of peace and calm breaks were understood, but in these near apocalyptic conditions, any able-bodied cat was expected to push past their limits. The Regime was short on everything. Food, herbs, even bedding. Rest was a luxury they couldn't afford.
But Havilah had to pick his battles and arguing about something trivial like that wasn't something the Regime could afford, either. Instead he settled on a different topic.
"Commander Shule," His voice cut-through the ringing silence like a knife. Clearly the auburn-furred tom wanted everyone else to listen, "It's time we return back to our home territory. As I expected, DayClan has become a disaster."

For some reason, Havilah's voice grated on Shule's ears like nails on a chalkboard. This wasn't the first time Havilah had insisted on what they needed to do, and whether he was right or not, now was NOT the time to try and tell her what needed to be done. For once in her life, Shule wanted the chance to actually comfort her family. Southpaw had woken up to her mother dead, had witnessed her brother half dead, and then saw him sacrifice himself for her. Like hell was her step-grandson going to do this right now. "You have two seconds to turn around and WALK. AWAY. SUPERIOR." Her voice was deadpan and colder than WinterClan ice as she froze in place, not even sparing the tom a glance. If he wanted a show for the rest of the Regime, he'd get one, but he wasn't going to like it.

"Superior Havilah." Ren spoke through the icy tension, eyeing the commander in case she decided to let her fury out on the tom. He cleared his throat, speaking calmly as he continued on, "I just finished scouting out the area for some mouse holes. I think I found a few. Are there some pirates that can join me in fishing them out." It was a lousy excuse to distract the two cats but not completely false. The scent he found around the holes was faint, but not entirely stale.
Odanna had never felt like an old man, but truly he felt like his bones had aged 60 moons since they began camping there. "I am no pirate but I'm also free to work if you need me, Commander Shule. I can take over whatever Southpaw was doing." He wasn't beyond doing cadet duties if that meant everyone got to keep their fur.

Gossamer Alessandra seemed to be as depressed as Southpaw as she padded up. In the week that had transpired between the explosion, the she-cat had spent most of her time bothering the guiders, looking for whatever they could offer her to help the pain of her crushed foot. However, after a week of no duties, walking around in a drug-infused haze, it was time to get back to work - if Shule would let her.
She limped over to the Commander, for once her gaze not combative. There was no fight in her eyes, only a steely resolve that she needed to do something, anything. You see, a week of doing nothing had been a week of slipping further and further into a depression. After all, without something to busy her mind, all she could think about was her paw- a visual representation of the imperfection that now befell the former commander.
She looked over at the younger cat, an uncommon sadness in her eyes replacing some of the resolve. Out of all cats who had suffered, only Southpaw suffered as much as the Sentinel did - at least in Gossamer's mind. She offered her a soft smile, before turning to Shule. Although she didn't speak, she gave the Commander a nod, one that for once said that the broken-pawed Sentinel was there for whatever Shule needed, without her normal instigation.

Southpaw didn't speak, only flinch as the commander's paw gently pressed onto her shoulder. She kept her eyes down, even as the adults all erupted into an argument around her. She waited until their eyes were on the commander, before silently sliding back into the shadows and continuing about her task of delivering food to those that couldn't get it for themselves. She hadn't spoken since emerging from the tunnel with Lex, not even to explain to her parents what had happened. She couldn't even bring herself to be around either of them, not when it was her fault that he was gone.... She didn't feel like she deserved their unwavering love for her, he kindness they always showed.

Ilius knew better, but couldn't help but glare at the superior as he limped to put himself between Southpaw and Havilah. He had sprained his shoulder pretty bad while digging through some blockages and trying to escape the chaos and had a cough, but was otherwise okay. "Southpaw, why don't we get a drink and rest a bit?" He suggested, concern filling his eyes as he looked at her. He cared for her so much, it was hard to see her in this state. He regretted not being able to be there for her sooner.
Valerian watched the little quarrel with interest and narrowed eyes. Everything was handled and tensions were high from the exhaustion. Everyone was overworked and he himself had inhaled quite a bit of smoke, but was otherwise unscathed.

Unfortunately for the Regime, Simply had bought arson, and that meant suffering. Things didn't get to be better, as the scent of smoke curled through the tunnels towards the group, Shule stiffening the moment she noticed it. Not again....

Southpaw had a shrew stuffed in her mouth by the time Illius reached her side, already walking towards one of the tunnels as if she hadn't even heard the harsh words directed at her. Normally her face would light up merely at the sight of her beloved prince, but even that wasn't enough to break through the dark cloud hanging over her. Her movements were stiff and robotic, going through the motions even though she had already mentally checked out. Even the scent of smoke wafing through the tunnels didn't seem to raise any alarms. Her pelt remaining flat as she calmly walked toward her destination.
"Is that how the Commander of the Regime fights her battles now? By dismissing them or just running away? I suppose it's what got us in these tunnels to begin with. After all, we didn't have to leave our home territory, we could have ---"
Havilah would have continued had the scent of smoke not snaked its way into his nose. The auburn tom stiffened, and involuntary growl escaping from the back of his throat. He didn't understand how a flame could exist underground long enough to do any real damage. There was nothing to burn and only a limiting amount of oxygen to support which, of course, meant these flames had to be supernatural.
"--- Nevermind. We need to leave the Enchanted Forest and go home, where it's safe. Just give the order, Commander."

Shule turned ever so slowly towards Havilah, her expression frozen colder than anywhere in WinterClan. "We're not going back to a frozen hellscape where we're destined to die, Havilah, but if you want to go back so badly, you can be my guest. Or you can drop the ego and focus on helping the Regime, not turning back to a nightmare you've twisted into a dream."
"That land supported us for generations. The only cat who views it as a 'frozen hellscape' is you because you've forgotten how to live there. The Regime needs structure, regiments and consequences, but you wave everything away based on convenience and look at us now! On the brink of death in tunnels we don't know with lower numbers than we've ever had. I'm going home. Anyone who believes in the Regime will return with me," Havliah was surprisingly calm. He'd reach that level of anger where he came across as so hot he was cold. He padded right past Commander Shule and exited the tunnel, making his way back West.

"Miracle..." Bliss looked up to her mate with big worried blue eyes. It was now common knowledge that her mate was pregnant, which meant the decision of following Havilah or Shule was even more crucial - it wasn't just the two of them they had to worry about, "What... what should we do?"
There was no reasoning with Havilah, and Shule was past the point of trying. Right now their goal was getting to safety. "REGIME, FOLLOW ME. WE'RE LEAVING!" She shouted into the tunnels, her voice calm, but a direct order nonetheless. But she didn't turn to follow Havilah, instead, she went South, heading back towards the Revolution Territories
AIGHT, YOU RR PEOPLE, TIME TO CHOOSE WHO YOUR CATS ARE FOLLOWING!! CHOOSE FOR EACH CHAR YOU HAVE. Note: Don't worry if you're heavily biased one way or other, no way you pick is wrong, and nothing will be screwed up regardless. cx Tykes technically do choose where they go, but are basically just snatched up by whoever is closest to them on the side they 'choose.'
HAVILAH Back to the frozen wasteland RR had left because they were starving. The territory is frozen over 3/4 of the year, providing very little sustenance, with lots of predators to cause trouble. But aside from SwiftClan possibly being in the area, there's really no other clans to fight with. Or to be friends with, for that matter. Havi has been calling out Shule for seasons now for her decisions, and though he rarely if ever receives respect from RR cats, everyone knows Shule has a huge temper problem where her family is involved, and biased to let an Eerie get away with more than they should. Blind Protector may or may not follow Havi and not Shule, but RR wouldn't know that till later, if it even happens.
SHULE Moved them out of the frozen land to DC, where they had more food, but as usual, strife followed. Now she's leading them back to Rev Group land, to a small section of land they explored next to PI. It's more promising than the frozen land by far, but the League is also on their doorstep, for better or worse. At the same time, it's not so far from the now destroyed Underground Forest that they couldn't hunt the area if needed. More trade opportunities, but more clan conflict too. She has anger issues and is biased for her family, but most fear her enough to give her proper respect and obedience, and Havi also doesn't have the best track record with temper either.

Delu-tyke, Alana's only kit and still only about 2wks old - she was old enough to have some awareness about her surroundings but still too wobbly to be on her feet. For that reason, Paisley-tyke struggled to carry her cousin - on the verge of dragging her more like - as she put the kit down to look around in confusion for Alana and her own family as well. Both tykes at the mercy of those around them as neither could decide or rather the older of the two tykes wouldn't dare move without permission of her father less it led to a yelling or punishment later on.
Emiko herself wasn't much of a large cat, pretty much kitten sized in her own right. Of course, she was stronger than most kittens, and had no problems in casually grabbing Delu-tyke out of Paisley-tyke's jaws, trotting after Havilah with a giggle. "Come along, little dear!" She purred, gently pushing the older kit to follow the defector Superior. Shadowbladeღ
Caine Wies barely had to think to make his decision, and not just because his head injury wasn't fully healed yet. "I'd say sorry to all those I'm leaving," he murmured, "but it would be a lie, so." With that, he turned to follow Havilah.

He could smell the smoke and hear the loud command that Shule had ordered to leave and follow her. He wouldn't leave Southpaw's side, she seemed to be in something of a trance and he looked at her with worry and panic. He looked between her and where the group of cats was she had just walked away from, looking for signs of her following Shule's command. "Southpaw, come on we need to get out of here. It's not safe here." The smell of smoke meant something dangerous was coming and he would drag her out of these tunnels if he had to. racer
Bliss prodded at her mate's side gently, "Miracle... We need to go. I don't like Scout Superior Havilah but what he's saying does make some sense. I'll let you decide who you pick but we need to leave now." Honeystorm

"Loelia, Loelia," For whatever reason, Howlan-type always used his adoptive mother's given name rather than mama or mommy. It didn't come from a bad place, he just preferred using names rather than nicknames. He thought it left a better impression, "What're we gonna do?" Faith
