Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Day and Spring will attempt to leave, Sun will stop them when Winter and Renegade bust in and help give Spring and Day their freedom back)
The air was different, breathable.
There was something that had become so sunken into the lives of the imprisoned that it was almost hard to tell what was missing when it was gone. The ever present sight of multiple guards were gone. All the NightClan and BrookClan guards had vanished, it was just SunClan. Two against one.
Glowstar raised her head, trying to catch sight of any tired NightClan cat forced to guard the day instead of their normal nocturnal behavior. There were no sleek furred BrookClan cats to be found. Just a few SunClan cats who could tell that there was a change in the air.
They had been imprisoned, their kits taken from their mothers, their mothers murdered, their clanmates turned against them or simply disappeared never to be seen again... As of a few days ago they hadn't cared to hide their execution and now they no longer carried the numbers they needed to contain them. But it wasn't like SpringClan or DayClan was at their best state either, she knew if they left there was a chance they could still lose. Imprisonment never helped with health and strength after all.
Glowstar stood up, stretched before walking up to the center of the makeshift camp, "DayClan, SpringClan, let's leave."
SUNCLAN
Autumngossamer's eyes widened, the apprentice aged she-cat immediately jumped in front of the entrance out of the camp, "You can't leave, you might think you have us outnumbered, but you've lost more clanmates than you know!" She hissed.
The she-cat was once Heatherpaw, an apprentice of DayClan before arriving and joining SunClan.
Fawnheart, medicine cat of Springclan, had something important to tell the Dayclan leader. However, before she could approach Glowstar, the leader had risen to leave. Fawnheart wanted to tell her of a dream she had that she felt was a message from Starclan; but it had been hard to receive. She thought maybe because Starclan was trying to reach her through the Sun God's territory. She wasn't about to say her dream out loud but she didn't think Dayclan and Springclan could put up a fight alone. They were far too weakened. Dare she approach Glowstar about this?
Fawnheart looked over at Autumgossamer. Didn't she used to be a Dayclan apprentice? The fawn colored medicine cat approached the young cat. "Autumngossamer" She began in a gentle voice. "Why are you trying to stop us from leaving? Isn't Dayclan your birth clan?"
Trailpaw - the SunClan cats might call her Tart, since she initially was oh so excited about seeing their way of life, but she'd become less and less eager as the other Clan showed more and more of their true colors - flashed yellow eyes onto Glowstar as the older she-cat stood up, tracking her leader's movements as she went to the makeshift camp's center. Surprise flashed across the young cat's face at Glowstar's words, glancing around as she really took note of the lacking numbers that were on SunClan's side. Seemed like maybe the other Clans had lost their interest in supporting SunClan now that they saw how Foxstar's cats really were like as well.
After a few moments, the yellow-furred she-cat scrambled to her paws. She didn't want to stay here any longer. What if she was the next cat to disappear? What if she lost even more Clanmates to the charms of their captors as she almost had been? She took a few steps towards Glowstar, yellow eyes bright. She wanted to go back home so badly. She only paused when an achingly familiar voice piped up. The short-legged cat snapped her attention towards Autumngossamer, expression shifting to one of hesitant hope, especially when a SpringClan cat spoke up with the same intent first. "Ya, Heatherpaw, come on," she chirped, ears turning back partway. "We don't have to all stay here. We can all go home." Trailpaw didn't want to leave any of her Clanmates behind, even if they had been taken in by SunClan already. Surely they couldn't have completely turned away from the Clans they had come from, right?
SPRINGCLAN
Whitepaw had first looked towards his own leader when Glowstar spoke up, wondering if Peachstar would get up to follow the DayClan leader's lead. He only watched the older tom for a moment or so, though, before his mentor stood up. Automatically the apprentice got up to follow Fawnheart, trotting towards her until he stood at her heels, eyes wide and head tilted a fraction to the side as he watched Autumngossamer for her reaction.
SUNCLAN
She wasn't surprised that something was happening. When BrookClan and NightClan stopped showing up for guard duties, she knew it was much more a matter of when than if. Perhaps that expectation was what drove her to keep watch herself today, eyes half-closed but ears pricked and alert despite the rest of her body language suggesting inattention. Just because she expected it, though, didn't mean she was happy when Glowstar stood up, announcing that the captured Clans were going to leave like SunClan would just let them walk out. Orange eyes remained slits, but now it was in a glare turned in the DayClan leader's direction. Couldn't she just lay down and submit for once in her life?
Twistedecho got to her paws, padding towards the entrance to stand by Autumngossamer's side. The ruddy-furred Janus was confident that the pleading words of lesser Clans wouldn't sway her younger Clanmate. She put a sneer on her face, pushing down the annoyance and frustration that bubbled up underneath. Why couldn't Glowstar just let things be? She had nothing to worry about, already chosen by the Sun God as a part of the Clan. Why couldn't she be just a little selfish and stay instead of ditching her all over... She cut off her own thoughts with a low growl, looking first towards Fawnheart and then at Trailpaw before her gaze returned to Glowstar. "Your Clans aren't strong enough to beat even these odds," she said, tail giving a lash to emphasize her words. "As my dear Clanmate said," her voice took on a sickly sweet tone for just a moment, to rub in that Autumngossamer was SunClan's now, "you've lost too many numbers. You could far too easily lose even more if you try to fight, and even if you leave you'll only lose even more to leafbare." Her tone had turned to almost a purr as she spoke, the Janus glancing around at the captured Clans for signs of cats not quite so eager to leave.
"They will be leaving," Burningstar said as she neared the group. She'd told all of NightClan they were done with SunClan. But now, with Kerrigan out, it was time for Burningstar to make up for her mistakes.
She stalked into camp, a handful of NightClan cats with her, Squirrelleap, Bleakpaw among them. The brown tabby tom had made an effort already to rescue some DayClan and SpringClan cats while NightClan left the execution. Now the tom was here to help see them freed properly.
"The alliance is dead, as is our efforts for conquest," Burningstar meowed. "SunClan cats release DayClan and SpringClan. We've wrought enough pain upon them."
"No," Autumngossamer said coldly to Fawnheart, "I don't know where I came from, but I wasn't born there. I always knew I was meant for something greater and finally I'm recognized. Now how about everybody just sits down nicely and I'll give you a pass this time because you've all been so nicely behaved until now."
DAYCLAN
Glowstar stared Twistedecho down, but she knew that she knew that if Twistedecho attacked her now she'd likely lose to the Janus. She was told earlier that if she tried to fish in the cold streams one more time that her legs would be frost bitten and they were. What choice did she have when SunClan had run so low on prey due to trying to feed three clans? It was why she was trembling, not out of fear, but her legs were unsteady from the numbness. But she didn't know if BrookClan and NightClan would be back and she didn't know how much longer SunClan would politely allow them to stay without being initiated. It had already been two moons, they wouldn't allow this behavior for too much longer. everyone knew it. No matter how weak or hungry or cold anyone felt they had to leave. She smiled at Burningstar before moving past Twistedecho bumping against her shoulder, "Good-bye Twistedecho."
Soaringdawn's paws stayed planted like roots. He didn't expect to leave, he wasn't even close to being confident that they could. Apart of him wanted to listen to Twistedecho and Autumngossamer, that maybe if he just stayed put he would be spared from whatever came next, it wasn't like he was a warrior after all. But his heart leapt seeing Burningstar there. He had judged Glowstar for having been kind to Foxstar, but it was nice to see not all of her outsider friends were as fox hearted.
Fawnheart flinched at Autumnglossamer's tone of voice. "Okay, maybe you weren't born there but Dayclan took you in, didn't they? Nurtured you, brought you in with open hearts. And you betray them?" She was hoping to talk some sense into the young cat but wasn't sure if she would succeed. It would help if they had one more cat on their side but it was a long shot. Still, she wouldn't give up so easily.
NightClan Burningstar moved to stand by Glowstar, "Im sorry, most my cats were exhausted i could only bring a pawful." She told her friend quietly apologetic. "I intended to come alone but some insisted,"
(I just realized i dont know how we're going to rescue Rubyflame. So maybe we send Burningstar and her Few NC cats away because glow asks her to find her?)
SunClan Skipstep had been out hunting for SunClan when he saw the start of a commotion. "Whats going on here?" The other older Janus, besides Twistedecho came over eyes narrowed.
Her ears pressed back against her head when Burningstar appeared, her attention shifting towards her instead. "You'd rather send them to their deaths in the freezing cold than keep them here, where they're all fed and safe?" she asked, her voice intentionally loud enough for everyone to hear. DayClan and SpringClan had to realize they had no choice but to stay here, a mentality that her Clan had been trying to instill for the past two moons. They'd freeze to death or starve, a fate a thousand times worse than becoming a part of SunClan. A tiny voice, deep down, considered how much that thought was true, but she was quick to ignore the voice.
With her attention on Burningstar, she didn't notice Glowstar moving towards the entrance until she felt a bump at her shoulder and the she-cat's goodbye in her ears. She reacted before she thought through any sort of plan, shifting her weight onto her haunches so she could grab at the older she-cat with both forepaws. Her claws were unsheathed, far enough to hopefully catch onto Glowstar's fur but not enough to draw blood. Yet. Her attention was still on Burningstar, especially when the leader moved to stand beside Glowstar, but her words were meant for the latter. "You can't leave. Do you want to lead your cats to their own death?" Then, venom edging her voice even as she lowered it so only those close by could hear, she spat at Burningstar, "You should've never come at all. Especially after you betrayed your allies."
NightClan "Our alliance is over, there is no allies here to betray," Burningstar said simply, "And if they need a place to stay NightClan will house them to make amends until they can return home. Or they can stay wherever, but SunClan will not hold them any longer,"
Glowstar faltered tripping over her paws for a moment at Twistedecho's grip, she expected it and because of that she was able to stop herself from falling. The unfortunate part of her legs being numb was she had to rely on sight rather than the feeling of motion. Her eyes glistened as she heard Burningstar talk, she was a true friend. She didn't use her, she didn't care about Burningstar more than Burningstar cared for her and judging by the fact that BrookClan backed out Kerrigan cared about her too. SunClan was losing not because they weren't powerful enough, but because they didn't have the ability to form friendships like DayClan had.
"Go arrange for it Burningstar, just having some nests for everyone to relax for a solid day and feel safe would be rewarding enough," Glowstar said to Burningstar before her eyes landed on Twistedecho as she still spoke to her friend, "I can handle it from here."
"Those who wished to join SunClan have. No one else is joining and you and I both know SpringClan cats were always too loyal. It was always hard keeping a spy there for long as you may recall back in your surveillance days. I don't blame you for harboring any ill will towards me, but I wish you all the best. You need to let go."
SUNCLAN
"They're trying to leave! Like legit just walk out and believe me they've done it before, they'll do it again if we let them," Autumngossamer said.
NightClan Burningstar looked at her for a long moment. But she nodded. "Right, Squirrelleap, Bleakpaw, Fernshadow, Stealthclaw, we're heading back to NightClan to prepare,"
She turned to Glowstar. "If we dont see you by sun down, we'll come for you. We are strongest in the night after all," Then lifting her tail she beckoned her cats forwards and the nightclan cats departed together. Squirrelleap hesitated but he understood, theyd need preparations after all. So he followed his leader out with the other 3 nightclan cats.
SunClan Skipstep's eyes narrowed. "Well, we cant have that now can we?" He said straightening up.
"Your clans are not going anywhere." Not while NightClan was their only support anyway. There was no way she was letting NightClan have the satisfaction of saying they alone saved DayClan and SpringClan from their former allies. Foxstar stood blocking the way of Burningstar, her expression calm, though there was a newfound darkness to her gaze, as though some more of the fragments had chipped away, leaving her even more a shadow for her actions against Deal. The world, at least, had stopped spinning after some rest, and though Glowstar had done a number on her, the Priestess had proven she was more than willing to die for a cause. What use were these extra lives if not to achieve her goals?
"You're trespassing, and if you think you can simply waltz in here without repercussion, you're sorely mistaken, Burningstar." The High Priestess stated, her claws already extended. To be quite honest, she cared little about DayClan and SpringClan's attempt at leaving, and she might've simply let them go if they'd decided to on their own. But, no, Burningstar was here, and Foxstar had a bone to pick with her the backstabbing she-cat.
Fawnheart tensed when Twistedecho yanked Glowstar back. The Dayclan leader was obviously not her leader but she was still willing to team up with her and Dayclan. It helped that she was a medicine cat as well; she didn't have to worry too much about others thinking she was disloyal. Medicine cats don't really follow the warrior code that much. There was always loose rules for Medicine cats. They could technically help any clan that they needed to without being disloyal to their clan.
The Springclan medicine cat stepped forward. "Twistedecho, please. Don't make this harder than it has to be. Sunclan has not saved Dayclan and Springclan. You have tortured our clanmates and kept the ones who refused to initiate, captive. Our clans can survive on our own. We do not need Sunclan's help."
Then the she-cat turned to Foxstar as the Sunclan leader approached. She held her breath. Was Foxstar going to cause a scene again?
NightClan Burningstar took a half step back. She'd hoped Foxstar would be a ways away from the prisoner camp, but it seemed fortune was not smiling on Burningstar today.
Glowstar was too badly hurt to be relied on against Foxstar and truthfully Burningstar didnt want her to get involved.
She shouldve been sneakier. Shed told Larkwing earlier the risks of being brazen and here she was being brazen, and landing herself in hot water.
But there was nothing for it now, she was face to face with Foxstar and she had to figure out what to do. Should she stall? No help was coming, shed only prepared for retaliation from Foxstar not confrontation.
Fighting she was unlikely to win, but perhaps an opportunity could present itself that she could seize upon.
"I apologize Foxstar," Burningstar said, "But this is wrong. I just want this suffering to end. Theres nothing more to be gained then just causing more pain."
What was she saying? Foxstar cared not for that. And she knew it, but she couldnt find the words to pacify Foxstar. She had wanted to help, but she had rushed in instead. Her warriors were in danger. The two clans imprisoned were in more danger now because Burningstar had slighted the high proestess.
"We can negotiate a repayment for my slight against you...but let SpringClan and DayClan go."
"Let me take one life each for DayClan and SpringClan, and one for your betrayal and trespassing then. You have nine, so surely you can spare three for the greater good of these two clans." Foxstar stated bluntly, "Unless you'd rather I just slaughter the cats with you for stepping on SunClan land without permission."
It was a deal that put Burningstar in a greatly vulnerable position, and who was to say that Foxstar would adhere to it anyway? All the same, the Priestess wasn't about to let anyone go, not right now. If the NightClan leader was serious, then she was willing to suffer and die for those she wanted freed. And the fox-hearted leader would most definitely make her suffer.
"Ohhhh my God, just stop Burningstar. What did I tell you about making deals? NO MORE. Remember last time you were like, "Let's do this." And then Kerrigan got mad at you and you were like, "Don't worry, I'll make an alliance with her." And we're right here. NO MORE Burningstar. No more. I will literally take a life myself from you, for God sakes, just stop making deals," Glowstar said, on the verge of a tantrum if Burningstar made one more bad deal that would most definitely later involve her.
"I'm not the most coordinated, but I've fought frost bitten before, I've escaped from a prison frost bitten, if I need to fight I will," Glowstar reassured Burningstar before stepping in front of her friend, "No you're not going to steal her lives. Your cats fight because they have to, all of us are fighting for our lives. Predator only catches prey when they're hungry enough and your clans tired of feeding us, watching us, controlling us. It's exhausting, they're not going to fight for you, not as hard as you want your clan to. And also I'm just super tired and you literally don't look too good yourself, like let's just go home and sleep?"
Foxstar chuckled. "If you think that's how this would go, you're sorely mistaken. They're fed up with you, yes, but SunClan won't simply let you go. No, they'll take their frustrations out on you, and I don't really think your cats are in the best position to fight, no matter how desperate they are. If you'd rather I kill you for DayClan's freedom, we could do that instead, but I'm not sure your Immortal Council will appreciate having to figure out who's going to be leader in your stead. Besides, I really don't want to kill you right now. Bash your head against the ground a few times? Sure, but we can do that later. So, I suggest you both turn around and go sit down, unless you really do want to get hurt." She really did owe Glowstar for that whole stunt during the execution, but this wasn't the time, nor the place for it.
NightClan Burningstar sucked in a breath, she'd expected it'd be at least one life. But three? That was not going to be pleasant. But well she supposed she was overdue to lose one or two. She'd bartered with kerrigan rather than fought. And she'd watched as SunClan caused great harm to SpringClan and DayClan.
"You cant just roll over and let her kill you!" Squirrelleap hissed to her.
True, she'd rather go fighting and would Foxstar hold up her end?
She needed to come up with something, fast. She wished shed accepted Larkwings reccommendation of having a distraction planned-
And then Glowstar spoke up and Burningstar turned to her a bit surprised and a bit cowed. She wasn't wrong. She'd made the agreement which led them to here.
But losing three lives wasnt an unfair trade. But Glowstar had a point.
"I didnt come here to spite you Foxstar, and Glowstars right, i made my agreement with brookclan and blindly followed Kerrigan into this alliance with you. I shouldve said no when i realized your intentions but here we are. I cant give you three of my lives, because i brought SpringClan to you, i gave you my warriors to help hold these cats, and its time to stop. You know you cant handle three clans on your territory. Youll all starve. Or kill each other."
SUNCLAN "Guess that's too bad then. Now that you're here, you're not going anywhere. So I'd suggest you get comfortable until the rest of your clan realizes what's going on and comes to save you." Foxstar shrugged. "Your other option is to fight your way out. And you can ask Strikhedoniadalisay here how well that went for her when we last fought." Of course, she'd lost one of her own lives, but Glowstar had cheated with that herb DayClan had that seemed to give her an insane amount of strength for a few short moments. "Some may escape, but do you really want to try your luck and see how many SpringClan and DayClan cats SunClan can kill before they make it off the territory?"

DAYCLAN
Flyingcolors looked at her brother, Soaringdawn, who was still and unmoving. He merely sat and watched without moving and she could feel his reluctance to leave. She did not blame him and kicked the top of his head gently as she stood up on unsteady paws.
"Dayclan follows Starclan, whether you like it or not. This is not how our clan or the clans were mean to live, Foxstar. You must realize what ends desperate cats will use when we become desperate. Do not underestimate our clans strength." The Dayclan limped forward to stand next to the Springclan medicine cat. She could not watch her classmates be killed anymore, she could not look at their wounds and wish to heal or help them. Her paws were cracked and bleeding and sore but she would rather stand with the warriors and fight than stay here any longer.
RENEGADE REGIME Mercenary Elsie looked behind her at her companions as they moved through the brush and the mercenaries ears flicked silently. They had recently heard of the situation between Sunclan, Brookclan, Springclan, Dayclan, and Nightclan and were not far off to investigate what exactly was happening.
