Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( In this thread, Foxstar has finally gotten her paws on Deal. As such, she hosts a public execution, in which she takes one of Deal's lives and curses him, then proceeds to set him free. This thread is primarily for SunClan, however, due to the current plot, cats of DayClan, SpringClan, NightClan, and BrookClan, may join in if they wish, as SunClan has allowed those clans' members to watch. )
A sick sort of glee rested in Foxstar's heart at the thought of what the day before her held. In fact, it wouldn't be incorrect to say her heart was soaring, that she was on the verge of laughing herself silly. This was a day she'd half thought would never come, and it had been moons in the making. Finally, finally Vera had given him to her, though not for an insignificant price. Yet, that mattered little to her. She'd have sold her own soul, if she had one, to have Deal in her possession, and so she felt what she'd actually given was but a small price to pay.
There was an air of anticipation at Ceremony Springs, as the High Priestess, her painted colors changed to an ominous combination of only black and red, and with more sharpness to the designs, stood atop the rock. Her expression was alarming at best, an unusual glint to her eyes, and a worrying smile across her lips. Try as she might to keep herself composed, there was no mistaking the joy that seemed to radiate from her very being as the clan, and a few others gathered below. Word had spread, that an execution was taking place, but the cat had not yet been revealed. Would it be one of captured clans' members? It certainly seemed likely. The reality was different however.
It was Deal that was to be executed today, with a slight twist, and she'd invited both the captured clans, and the clans of those she'd allied herself with for a simple reason: to spread the word. Cats were terrible gossips, and Foxstar was using that her her advantage today. She wanted the news of this to spread, to not only display the lengths at which she'd go in order to get vengeance, but to tell the tale of what exactly she could do with the Sun God's aid. Today's event was a demonstration and a warning as much at it was justice and revenge, and the fox-hearted feline would have it no other way.
Without a word, her tail twitched, and the traitor was brought forth. He was in better condition that one might've expected, relatively unharmed and a bit thin, but not starved. After all, she wanted him coherent and capable, not a bumbling, helpless fool. She wanted him to understand everything that was happening, to feel and comprehend it all, yet be unable to stop it.
His head rested on his paws as Ebonygold stared quietly at the ground, hanging at the back of the crowd. He never had a taste for death, but after watching his son perish only a short while ago, it turned him off even more. The old tom felt nothing but sorrow for the cat that had crossed their clan, perhaps even unintentionally, and would now lay down their life for it. His faith in the Sun God had been shaken, but he continued to follow clan rules, and pay Him the respect he could; he had not been struck down, so he assumed the Sun God understood his troubles and had allowed him some freedom... for now, at least.
As the prisoner was brought forth, he felt a rush of murmurs near him, and heard Myriadwolf give a strangled cry. His ears pricked, Ebonygold rose to his paws and gently pushed his way between the other cats to the front of the crowd, to see what the fuss was about. His heart stopped, and he nearly collapsed. No, please, not another one....
His son.
There was a touch of grey on his muzzle now, and his black coat was shot with white; the scars on his face were more mangled and fresh. Head held high, but without defiance in his eyes, the tom padded meekly toward his death. There wasn't any fight left in him, not that Ebonygold could see, and it made his blood run cold; Deal had already accepted what was to come. He wouldn't try to sway his former home to his side, wouldn't try to run, wouldn't do anything but summon his last scraps of courage and face his death with honor... but the Senator could see the raw grief in his son's eyes as well. The undying love as he looked at his kin mingled in the crowd, and the sorrow that he had to leave them.
Even when Deal stopped searching the crowd and looked up at his executioner, there was no hatred. How could he hate a cat that he still loved? Foxstar had wounded him more grievously than any cat before, but no matter how much he wanted to change how he felt, he could not. After all, if Deal had been able to control his own emotions, he would never have ended up here in the first place.
There was a flicker of something behind her eyes at Deal's presence, at his humble acceptance, something dark and angry that only those who knew her best could even begin to comprehend. She wanted him to fight, to cry, or beg, or do anything except nothing. It irked her that this wasn't the case, that she wouldn't get the satisfaction of watching him struggle. No matter. Foxstar rolled her shoulders back, her smile transforming into a sharp smirk, that mischievous look Deal knew so well. The look that meant there was something more to the situation than met the eye. She'd have the last laugh, in the end. Her body turned every so slightly, casting itself over the gathered clans, composed once more as her voice rose into the humid air.
"I'm sure many of you recognized the tom before you today, have seen his children in your clans, or met him in person. Deal, former leader of DayClan, has been found guilty of crimes against SunClan, and as such, is sentenced to death." Not every cat remembered the tom having been leader of the now captured clan. Fewer still remembered Foxstar's own presence in the clan. It had been long since that time, long since they'd been mates, and long since he'd shattered her heart. She'd picked up the pieces and arranged them how she saw fit, and now this was where they stood, former mates, one preparing to kill the other. Heh. It was funny, really.
Mountainsound's tail wrapped around Ebonygold tightly, her blind eyes staring forward as she took in a sharp breath at the scent drifting down to her. In many ways, her and Deal had been at odds, and the former medicine cat, had, once upon a time, exiled the very tom from SunClan. Even still, she never wished death on him, and had grown to care for him as one of her own over the seasons. She wished desperately that there was some way to stop this, but there was no hope of it, though she hoped in vain someone would make an attempt, nonetheless.
Fieryinferno's face paled at the sight of Deal. Since he'd tried to kill Foxstar, the tom had been angry. He'd been angry that Deal left their mother for another she-cat, that he'd attacked their leader, and most importantly, that his father had left him. Once upon a time, one that wasn't so long ago after all, he'd even considered killing the tom himself. But seeing him up there now, so meek and without resistance, the warrior faltered. He was angry, certainly... but did he really want Deal to die?
Darkcomplex, personally, was conflicted. On one paw, he understood Foxstar's reasons, and had little connection to the tom himself, therefore having no reason to care for the traitor's death. At the same time, he knew Glowstar loved Deal, and no matter how many litters the former initiate and DayClan leader had, that would never change her love for her real mate, the one she'd chosen, rather than been assigned. The silver tom glanced around then, looking for his mate, the mother of his kits, to see how she was faring at the sight.
There were other cats in the crowd, and most were impassive. Lastaffair, Zendikdominance, Moondancer, Scaldingheat, Midnightdisturbance, Locketpaw, Thimbleberryburn, and Empyreanpaw were all rather emotionless, some bearing small smiles or neutral expressions, but were hardly vocal.
Jackalmemory, Soulmatch, Angerendurance, Snapdragoncynosure, Nightshadeinutition, Inferiorchoice, Electricpaw, and Strangerpaw, for their part, had looks ranging from discomfort to horror, though none seemed surprised to see him there, as though they'd expected this day to come, however sickening it was.
The last group was the cats visibly excited. Some seemed to be cheering for his death, others just seemed pleased, but no matter the reason, Spiritpossession, Deathaccumulation, Doomsday, Spellpaw, Mythospaw, Arcanekit, Auburnkit, and Junkkit, all seemed to be happy to see some bloodshed.

Russetbrair knew little of the ordeal. She was only recently promoted, and yet the world of warriors didn't ever quite make much sense to her. She knew Deal to be a scoundrel. Whispers drifted to her ears, speaking of treachery and deceit. Perhaps he deserved this. The glint in Foxstar's eyes scared her regardless. Was this really what love did to you? Did it shake your hapless soul and corrupt your vision enough to spill blood? She didn't like this feeling. A boiling desire to scream riled within, but she stayed quiet out of respect. It would be unwise to rival Foxstar... Even if she didn't agree, surely this was none of her business.
Glowstar looked over the makeshift camp where DayClan resided. They had been imprisoned for over two moons now, but looking at Glowstar no one could tell. She looked like a still flame burning brightly, teetering on the edge of calm and chaos. Her head poised positioning to look across the heads of her clan mates, but when her gaze swept over their faces there was fire shining in her eyes. A look far too confident for a leader of little rights, "Deal was the leader of DayClan once, he is one of us. He will be the third cat of ours executed by DayClan. If you attend his execution do not go gently, fight. We have lost enough and we will not be silent. If they kill an ex leader of DayClan they'll kill any one of you, that is the example they're showing us. They can kill your kits, they can kill you, there is no longer anything to lose that you're not already in the process of losing. Chant his name, if a SunClan cat tries to drag you away go limp, scratch them, bite them. Because if you don't, someday it might be you up there, we have to take a stand no matter how small. Chant his name as if it was your mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, yourself up there, but don't you dare be silent."
Her tail motioned towards the Ceremony Springs, "We're warriors, we fight till our last breath, let them hear your voice."
With that Glowstar leapt down from the stone she had perched herself on above the crowd of DayClan and SpringClan cats and headed off to the gathering. She either had faith that they were following her or her mind was already made up that she would be there to support their ex leader, their clan mate, and her mate.
Soaringdawn glanced back at his clan mates, but walked forward. If he stayed he was proving that he had been reduced to silence, that they took everything, his pride, his rights, his voice. He didn't know Deal, but in a way he had to do this to prove he wasn't weak or broken by SunClan. He looked back at his siblings Whisperingraven and Flyingcolors, "I'm going, I hope you come too. We can't let them think they took away our spirit because if we do they'll just keep killing us."

Lochflare had no idea who was to be executed today but he followed along to Ceremony Springs, there was a ripple of excitement through many Sunclan cats, at least until the prisoner was revealed and he held back a cry or horror. The tom had always been loyal to Sunclan, his faith never shaken. He was not even close to his father that stood meekly before the clan, had barely spoken to him, but it was still his father. All Lochflare had ever wanted was not to be like his father but he didn't hold this kind of hate for the tom. Not enough to watch his blood spill across the floor before him. There was nothing he could d and he knew he would not be able to look away.
Acaiburst found his way to the Ceremony Springs from the Janus camp by following the other older cats. He was a kit with a warrior name and felt a bit strange but didn't think about it too much, he wanted to know what was happening and pushed his way to the front of the crowd, hearing murmurs about an execution and seeing an older looking cat who looked absolutely defeated. What exactly was going on here? He wasn't entirely sure he was supposed to be here but felt like he should be.
Fadingsight listened to his mother's words carefully and something about them lit a flame within him. He had never really know Deal although he had heard many stories both good and bad but she was right. They could not abandon their own. He fell in step just behind Glowstar, using her scent to guide the blind tom to the execution and the mass of cats.
"I'm coming with you." Flyingcolors told Soaringdawn with a nod. Glowstar was right, it could be one of her brothers or her kits up there one day, could even be Vixenpaw who Flyingcolors felt a particular attachment and responsibility towards. The she-cat valued peace but nothing about today was peaceful and she was tired of watching Sunclan throw them around as if they were helpless and nothing. "Vixenpaw, you are welcome to come with us but just be careful." Her words were tender but she would not deny her the right to stand with her clanmates and the more voices the better.

Intuition always hit her first. Russetbrair felt the tension in the air. Something was about to happen, something big. Her yellow eyes looked away from Foxstar and Deal, to the trees and surrounding area. What was this feeling? A crow flew high in the air in the distance, flying away. Her whiskers twitched and she shifted uneasily from one paw to the other.
Windchaser of Dayclan stood at the back of the crowd. Her usually bright green eyes were dull and emotionless. She sat hunched over, watching the gathering cats come to watch a gruesome ceremony.
Burningstar had sat herself near the makeshift camp where DayClan and SpringClan had gathered. She'd received the invitation from Foxstar and had decided to attend, out if two reasons.
One, just to show Foxstar she wasnt squeamish. And a guilty part recognized she was horribly morbidly curious. Deal according to glowstar had his lives from being leader. How did Foxstar intend to execute him? Just... keep killing him until he stayed dead?
Two, as she rose to her paws after Glowstar finished speaking she moved to follow her. Raising her tail for amy NightClan cat who had opted to come. Soaringbird had come as well, her sister wanting to know what happened and because Burningstar had given an order to NightClan cats who would attend before arriving.
That though their lot lay with SunClan, no abuse would fall upon DayClan today... or at least as much as could be readonably avoided. Any NightClan cat was simply to present an obstacle to any SunClan cat who attempted harm on a DayClan cat beside Deal. They wouldnt fight... but you couldnt blame the Nightclan cats if they happened to be sitting in such a way that prevented a sunclan cat from getting close to DayClan cats without shoving some cats aside.
It was a very minimal thing to offer. And she doubted it would matter much in the end.
But as she moved to come up to Glowstar, she hoped itd help her friend a little.
Though.. her ears lowered as she drew up to the DayClan leader falling into step beside her. It would be little comfort in the face of Deal's, Glowstar's mate's, execution.
But once she was close she leaned towards her. "Im so sorry," she whispered.
She didnt mention her idea, didnt mention that some of NightClan's cats would stand by DayClans to try and block them off from sunclan cats if the latter retaliated.
There were so few NightClan cats here it just wouldnt be enough to bother mentioning.
But she had to apologize. Apologize for DayClan being overtaken and just... that she didnt wish this on Glowstar.
Soaringbird walked near some DayClan cats, silent. She looked towards her sister by the DayClan leader eyes hard. This was going to be a difficult day and she had wanted to be here. Had to be here For her sister, who was here for Glowstar. Duskwing would look after the kits. But Soaringbird decided that though jer time with DayClan had been brief shed stand with them. Follow Glowstars orders.
After all she owed Glowstar the fsmily she had. Shed give the DayClan leader this.
Illuminatedpaw pressed against Windchaser shaking a bit. He didnt say anything just... pressed himself against her. Let her kniw he was here. And that theyd endure this. Theyd push through. SunClan hadnt broken them yet,and they never would.
So many cats. Did they come out of duty, or a desire to see him burn? How many here held any love for him? He guessed the answer wasn't very many. He looked down at his paws, taking a deep breath. Deal had no desire to look around and see what everyone was thinking; death was enough. He didn't want to subject himself to the pain and fear of looking around and seeing only hatred glistening in the eyes of his peers, his family, his kits. He could not bear the thought that after all this time, after everything he'd done, all that was left was the pain he had caused.
Listening to her speak, he wasn't even sure what his crime was. What had he done to offend this clan? He had no doubt he'd slighted them, but which rule he'd broken baffled him. He had left when given the chance, kept away from his kits, watched his family grow up without him.... and all because Foxstar held some age-old vendetta against him he didn't understand.
"Why do you hate me, Foxstar?" he finally asked quietly, lifting his gaze to meet hers once more. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to speak, but he had wondered for so long, and this was his last chance for an answer. "Ever since we've met, you've been trying to hurt me. I was nothing back then. Why did you want to destroy my life so badly? What did I do?"
-
If it hadn't been for his mate, the elderly tom might have rushed in to try and save his son. It was folly, but he couldn't bear to lose more family. He had known this day would come, but he had hoped he would be long gone by then. Ebonyogld closed his eyes and leaned into Mountainsound, shaking his head softly. "I can't do this. I can't sit here and watch as she... as she..." The elderly tom's voice cracked. He took a few steps away from the former medicine cat, toward the execution, and looked back at her. "I have to stop this. You understand, don't you? I can't just sit and watch, not again."
Padding along his DayClan clanmates, Ravenmist could hardly believe his eyes. His father, executed? He had known Foxdawn when his father was leader; he couldn't understand why she wanted to kill him so much now. They had never seemed happy, but surely this was a step too far? He had spent his whole life defending Deal; he wasn't sure how to begin without her. He cast an anxious glance around for his siblings or mother. How would Kinkedwing react, seeing this? Surely she wouldn't be happy?
Larkwing, Nightclan's new deputy, had agreed to come with Burningstar. This wasnt really something he wanted to be a part of but he felt like since he was now deputy, anything that Burningstar was a part of, he was too. He looked at Deal and saw the pain in the tom's eyes. Larkwing had to look away. To him, this was unjust. No matter what Deal had to have done to deserve this, he felt that maybe there could have been a different punishment. However, this was not his clan and this was not any of his business. He watched Burningstar join Glowstar and decided to take a seat toward the back of the crowd.
Windchaser pressed against Illuminatedpaw as he had done to her, hoping to find comfort in knowing her friend was beside her. But something in her heart was aching. She scanned the clearing. All of her clanmates were captured by Sunclan and a tom that she had only heard stories about and have only caught glimpses of was facing death. Was she really about to see a cat die in front of her eyes again? She could barely cope with seeing many of her clanmates lose their life in the battle with Winterclan and Primal Instinct. But this was very different. This cat that was about to die will not have a fighting chance. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, shaking.
"It's not my first time a leader stood over my mate and threatened to kill him. Nor is it even the second. Since you're sorry though..." Glowstar trailed off, her voice lowering into a whisper, "I want you to walk with me. Not yet, but very soon. And no matter what happens stay at my side."
Glowstar seemed serene. She imagined this moment for about an entire year, it repeated in her mind, the worse song trapped in her head. She imagined his execution and his reaction to death differently every time. Some days he was scared, some days he was brave. As an assassin she wondered how everyone would react if faced with certain death by the paws of their executioner. But... She didn't really want to know Deal's. Now she would.
Glowstar looked back at DayClan and nodded her head to them, now was the time. Before Deal's end, before he lost a life or lives... Let him hear Dealstar, let him remember he was and still is cherished. That Foxstar's hatred couldn't outweigh all the people that cared and loved him, "Dealstar! Dealstar! Dealstar! Dealstar!"
Soaringdawn's ears twitched at the sound of hsi leader chanting and quickly followed along, "Dealstar! Dealstar! Dealstar!" He chanted.
He glanced anxiously around, wondering if any SunClan cats would stop him, but it didn't matter if they did. He needed to prove a point. He wouldn't stop chanting even if he was dragged away. Luna noticed him, she watched Soaringdawn with wide eyes, wondering if a SunClan cat would stop him. What if Soaringdawn would be next executed... But what if no matter what they did they'd be executed. She knew some of the initiates went missing, she heard the rumors. If they didn't take a stand they could all be dead.
Burningstar blinked ears lifting, but she nodded. Affirming that she'd stay by her side. When Glowstar started her chant, she let the voices rise for a moment, turning her gaze to Foxstar and Deal. She didn't know him, didn't know Foxstar. Didn't know what he'd done to earn her ire. Glowstar had only told her so much. But then she narrowed her eyes. But whatever it was. He was Glowstar's mate, and love. Enemy or not. Whatever he'd done he didn't deserve to be made a spectacle for Foxstar's power.
Let Kerrigan blackmail her. Let Foxstar turn whatever strength she had on her. Burningstar glanced at Glowstar. She would support her friend today. "Dealstar! Dealstar! Dealstar!" She called as well. Her voice not as strong as Glowstar's but, still there. Though it grew in strength as she gained confidence in her decision. This was for Glowstar. Glowstar cared about this cat, and that was enough for her.
Soaringbird took up a spot beside Soaringdawn nodding to him before she raised her head and added her voice to the chant. "Dealstar! Dealstar!" Her blue eyes glancing about to see how the SunClan cats would react. Body tensed and ready to react.
"Dealstar! Dealstar!" Illuminatedpaw called meeting Windchaser's gaze and nodding. He glanced towards Luna and his eyes brightened when he saw his friend was calling as well. Good on her! His tail raised in joy.
He almost jumped as another cat sat down on his side and another cat by Windchaser's side. From their scent they were NightClan. The brown tabby tom who sat by him didn't join the chant but he was looking at the SunClan cats as if daring them to try and get to the DayClan cats he sat beside. The other cat that sat by Windchaser was a shaky gray she cat her fern colored eyes wide and she looked a bit nervous but despite her shakes she remained in her spot beside them, putting herself between SunClan and DayClan as best she could.
Flickerpaw, Stealthclaw, Viscariapaw, and Bleakpaw all planted themselves near DayClan cats.
Frozenfire sat down by a DayClan cat as well, but of course sat near the front so she'd have a view of the event. She'd do as Burningstar said... but she'd still be in view of the main event. She was just curious to see how it was going to go down.
Skipstep had sighed and taken up a spot near Littlebird, Jetclaw receiving an allowance to be near the Priestess Promised as well. The two flanking her. Though they bristled when DayClan started chanting. Jetclaw's ears flattened and then her eyes narrowed when she saw NightClan's leader join Glowstar in the chanting as well.
What did they think this would accomplish? The might of the Sun God was undeniable, and Foxstar would execute Deal one way or another. Whatever Glowstar thought she could pull, it wouldn't work. She had to know that.
Windchaser leaned over to Illuminatedpaw and whispered in his ear, "Dealstar was a leader. He has nine lives, right? How does Foxstar plan on killing him?" She started to feel a little better having her friend by her side.
Larkwing pricked his ears as his fellow clanmates began chanting Deal's leadership name; including his own leader. He raised his voice slightly to chant Deal's name like his clanmates were doing but his chant wasnt as strong. He didnt really know this tom but it seemed like he was an important cat if Dayclan and Nightclan cats were chanting.
The High Priestess shook her head ever so slightly. Had he forgotten so quickly about what he and Daylight had tried to do? That alone was worthy of his sentence, though she knew that wasn't what he was talking about. She let him speak, the warning smirk twitching ever so slightly with a hint of resentment. Foxstar was a master of calm, of masking her emotions and presenting to the world however she wished. Deal alone had the uncanny ability to break through her mental guard with only his presence, driving the stake ever deeper into her heart every time she thought she was finally over him. She could feel it even now, tainting the happiness she felt at the prospect of what came next, leaving a bitter taste on her tongue.
"If you truly have no idea, then you are a bigger fool than I thought." Her voice was soft, quiet, and meant for only the two of them. The cats below, clanmate, ally, and prisoner alike, could not hear her over the noise of the growing chant. Her ivy eyes held there own against his forest green gaze and stayed there for a few moments too long. "I wonder if you ever did love me, Deal. You certainly seem to have convinced yourself." That was it, two sentences, but it conveyed a lifetime's worth of heartache and anger, despite her tone being calm, even thoughtful.
She broke his gaze then, turning to the crowds who shouted her former mate's name, a soft chuckle escaping her as she closed her eyes and shook her head slowly. Then her eyes opened and her eyes rose to the crowds once more, briefly locking onto the forms of Glowstar and Burningstar with amusement. The fox hearted feline would have expected nothing less from her friend than for her to gather all the support she could in protest. Maybe it was her good mood, or as a favor to her friend or ex mate, to allow the calls to ring out without so much as a paw lifted against those who joined in. All the same, Foxstar gave no orders to the SunClan cats, and said nothing to quiet the calls, simply allowing herself to listen to the futile chants. It was time.
Mountainsound gave the slightest of nods to her mate, understanding his need to act. It was a terrible idea, but the she-cat would never force her mate to sit idly by while Deal was killed. Wormwood's execution, at least, could be justified. But this, it was revenge, pure and simple, hiding behind a claim of justice. With Ebonygold's decision made, she found herself wondering about her own stance, trying to decide if this was the hill she wanted to die on. The clan still needed someone to keep them from bending entirely to Foxstar's will, but was that her job? Or the duty of those she'd leave behind.
The Senator had no chance to speak before a tortoiseshell paw rested lightly on Ebonygold's forepaw, stopping him from going any further. "Don't." Lastaffair's voice was low and serious, though the she-cat was not looking at him, but her own mother on the rock before her, watching the interaction with Deal intently, though she couldn't make out the words shared between them. "You'll only be playing into her paws. You don't think she'll take great joy in executing you for your disobedience? If you want to be the next one up there, made an example of, killed, then be my guest. But know this, you'll be giving your life up for nothing. She has few enough cats that publicly disagree with her as it is, if you interfere, you'll just be giving her an opportunity to finally be rid of you."
Glowstar nudged Burningstar, and said softly, "Okay walk with me."
Glowstar walked forward through the side of the crowds to the front. She rehearsed this day in her mind for nearly a year now. She had taken note of every one of these cats. Some of the SunClan cats she had watched train since they were kits and knew what they knew and what they didn't. What defense they lacked and what strength they had. She took a breath as she wove deep into the crowd of cats, but made sure to wave to Spellpaw and looked back at Burningstar, "I trained her, I wonder if this is her first execution, she's probably so excited. I mean, if I wasn't nearly executed at a young age I'd probably have been giddy about it too at her age."
She remained relaxed, the pads of her paws feeling for any vibrations coming close to them and her sight remained focused ahead on where Foxstar was. Still her gaze shifted ever so slightly to ensure no one came near her as she moved up through the crowd carefully trying to get to the left side of it at the front.
"Chanting! Chanting! Chanting!" Duskkit chanted, any opportunity he could yell at the top of his lungs he was definitely going to take.
Autumngossamer walked in, "Oh c'mon, what is this?" She grumbled as her ears flattened, first there was that weird pregnant cat. Now they were having an execution, was this going to be an everyday thing? She walked over to the front, still trying to get her head around why they needed to go through this amount of effort, but whatever. If SunClan needed some random cat dead, then sure, why not? She supposed.
Burningstar walked with Glowstar without hesitation. Though she raised her tail to let Larkwing know he and the NightClan cats were to not follow.
She kept close to the DayClan leader, trying to keep tension from making her movements too stiff and slow her down. She didn’t know what Glowstar had planned but she trusted her. And she owed this to her. Besides, she relaxed a bit after they’d made their way through the crowd some, she did have extra lives. Glowstar was doing this with just the one.
When Glowstar waved at Spellpaw, Burningstar followed her gaze and nodded. She wasn’t sure what to say. Executions were... not Burningstar’s preference. She hadn’t seen many thankfully, though Shiverstar had been plotting to start some up to keep NightClan in line and Burningstar had never been more grateful that Shiverstar had stepped down before she could implement it.
But she nodded, Glowstar’s background was different to Burningstar’s so she just accepted that this was something she’d recognize as an exciting thing for a young cat.
After the wave she glanced around keeping in step with Glowstar. Wary and ready for anyone to get in their way. As well as bracing herself for whatever move Glowstar was about to make.
Larkwing nodded to Burningstar to let her know that he understood, though it made him uncomfortable to watch his leader walk off with another clan leader without any protection. But he trusted her decisions.
