The large tom lay on his back in the field, the sun kissing the fur on his belly and the whiskers on his muzzle. The perfume of the flora took him back in time, the first that he left his cramped prison and was met with the aroma of spring. Woollycloud allowed his eyes to shut. There was something about the sun that could lull you into a comfortable sleep-like state.
Finchwatcher was stalking a rabbit, her mouth watered as she eyed her prey nibbling on some grass. She crept forward but as she made her last step forward before her pounce, a bird nearby flew up and squawked out a call of alarm, alerting the rabbit. It darted away, zigzagging, trying to throw Finchwatcher off. Finchwatcher wasn't watching where she was going as she pursued after her prey and suddenly felt something soft beneath her paws that sent her tumbling into the dirt. She did a few somersaults in her tumble and landed awkwardly on her chin. Groaning, she stood up, still a little dazed. She shook, flinging dust from her fur and clearing her head. She looked back and noticed she had tripped over Woollycloud. Oops...she thought in regret as she padded up to the other warrior. She seemed to be preparing for a scolding as if she were still an apprentice. Although she had been made a warrior for several moons now, she still seemed to think she would get in trouble for certain things and have to pluck ticks out of the elder's furs. She gulped nervously as she approached the tom, expecting him to snap at her and order her to extra duties. "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there. Are you alright?" Her light green eyes widened with concern, hoping she didn't hurt him.

As paws hit his body, he could feel the air in his lungs being forced out. He was left shocked and breathless for a moment. Though the she-cat wasn't very heavy to him, the speed at which she had built up made up as strength. The tom rolled onto his side and struggled to his paws, peeking over at the she-cat with wide amber eyes. The deputy had heard the thud when she met the ground, and he was actually wondering if she was okay. "Finchwatcher." He breathed, still gasping for air. "I'm fine," he assured her, giving himself a shake. He looked the warrior up and down and offered a touch of his tail to her shoulder. "Are you hurt?"
She shook her head, nervously. "N-no, Im not hurt. I'm glad your okay...I should have been watching where I was going..." She responded, lowing her head in shame. "Im sorry..." Even with the comforting touch of his tail, she still felt embarrassed and ashamed.

Woollycloud pulled away after a moment. "It's really okay," he insisted. The tom glanced over his shoulder, the grass in the far distance still trembling from the escaping prey. The air had a scent of adrenaline that the creature left behind and his shoulders drooped slightly as he thought about how much the clan would have appreciated that one. "You will have to make up for losing that rabbit though."
She nodded obediently, "right...of course..." She dipped her head to him. "Thanks...um...I should probably go hunt now" she said awkwardly, hesitating for a moment before following the rabbit into the ferns.
