|| Tuskblood has decided that the apprentices have become weaklings LOL. She is going to have a group competition with them and the kits of the clan to raise the moral. In the process, some of the kits are going to wander away and get ambushed by foxes. It is up to the apprentices to save the lives of the kittens c:
NEEDED: Kits and Apprentices
Warriors to come help train c: 3-4 kits to wander off (if you want to rp one of them then just say so in your post, it's first come, first serve) ||
The deputy watched as apprentices lounged about instead of working like they should have been. Her eyes narrowed and she noticed a lot of soft pads and puny muscles. Oh no, that was going to change. Her green gaze then swept over to the Nursery where kits were tumbling about in a game of hunter and mouse. A small smile, hardly visible because of her deformed jaw, appeared on her muzzle. "Apprentices, Kits, report to the center of camp!" She yowled. She had mentioned this idea to Ravenstar before, and now it was time to implement it.

Moorpaw's ears pricked at the deputy's voice and he pranced to the center of camp, beckoning his tail for the others to follow. The cheery tom seemed to not be phased by Tuskblood's booming voice, which was strange, but he was kind of an odd cat.

"I wonder what's going on?" Crimsonpaw asked Moorpaw as he joined his denmate. He stretched each leg out behind him as he walked. "And why did Tuskblood call the kits too?" Perhaps, he thought, we're going to show the kits what it's like to be apprentices. This thought cheered him up because he liked showing off all the things he'd learned.
The white and ginger tabby ringed pelt of Zelkovapaw merged into the clearing like a rippling mirage as the female apprentice tilted her head, curiosity getting the better of her. She'd heard Tuskblood's commanding tone and, having been called to report due to her title, found nervousness beginning to pickle in her belly. Recognizing Crimsonpaw, however, she found a sense of peace settle over her like a thin blanket; not enough to keep out the cold, just enough to let you know it was there. She sat next to the tom, blinking at him and listening partially to his conversation with Moorpaw while keeping her russet eyes trained on the deputy.

"Hi, Zelkovapaw," the reddish tom meowed in greeting. He hadn't really seen her that much since they had returned from the special mission they were on together. The patrol was the talk of the clan after they got back with the cure. Crimsonpaw especially enjoyed the notoriety of having been a part of that prestigious group. It seemed to him that many of the cats, especially the warriors, looked at him with more respect now. He wondered if it was the same for Zelkovapaw too. "So how've you been?"

"No idea." Moorpaw responded in a sing-song manner before glancing over at Birchpaw who was also padding up. "Maybe she wants to send us all on a special mission this time?" He piped up cheerily. "I bet that was so much fun! I wish I hadn't been sick." He gave a little pout, but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

"It was fun but dangerous too," Crimsonpaw replied. "I'm so glad I was chosen to go." Memories of the recent mission flooded his mind. It will be something he'll remember always. He looked around at the gathering kits and apprentices. "But I doubt very much this meeting is for another mission. Kits would never be sent on one."
Hearing the Deputy's call, Mudpaw cautiously padded out towards the center of camp, feeling almost sheepish upon noticing the other apprentices. The recent sickness had left her in an extremely dark state of mind, not to mention that she had missed nearly two entire moons worth of training, leaving her far behind the rest of her peers. Almost on instinct, the chocolate-brown she-cat headed towards her best friend Crimsonpaw, quickly stepping in by his side. "Not to mention that a lot of us are still recovering," she pointed out, greeting the rest of the group with a small smile as she took a seat on the soft grass. "Of course, this being Tuskblood, I doubt that'll matter much anyway."

"Yes, you're right on both counts," Crimsonpaw told his best friend, Mudpaw. "I didn't think about those who just recently recovered from the illness." Then lowering his voice so that only she could hear added, "And Tuskblood is a hard mentor but because of that I've learned a lot from her." He was so glad Mudpaw was better now and was proud that he was a part of the reason she was. "How are you doing now?" he asked with concern plainly written in his eyes. "If you want, and if you have time, I can help you catch up with your training. I would really like to see us both promoted together next moon." He gave Mudpaw an affectionate lick on her ear.

Tuskblood watched the apprentices mingle with little interest before deciding that they could have a few more moments of chatter before she told them what was going on. She would rather them be focused later instead of wandering around like merry hens anyways.
"Oh, I guess you're right." Birchpaw responded with a chuckle before turning his gaze to Mudpaw. "I'm also glad you are alright. That sickness was awful." He sighed, remembering how distraught Patchpaw had been after her mother's death. His eyes drifted over to the black and white apprentice that was sitting away from the group, staring in front of her with an emotionless gaze.

"Is she ever going to be alright?" Crimsonpaw asked Birchpaw with concern in his voice as he looked over at Patchpaw. She had seemed not quite with it at the first group training they were in together. He wasn't unfamiliar with death having never known his parents. He and his siblings were brought to SummerClan as kits. And he could hardly remember them either. They all died from illnesses last Leafbare.

"I hope so. Maybe we should cheer her up while we wait? What do you say, Mudpaw?" Birchpaw offered with a small smile. He couldn't stand to see the others so down. If he could have his way, everyone would be happy and life would be perfect.

The reddish furred apprentice looked over at his best friend, Mudpaw. "I think it's a great idea," he meowed. It would be good if all of them could help cheer up Patchpaw.
