Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
By day there was sunshine, babbling creeks, the sweet scented wind singing the song of the skies, but by... By...
Glowstar looked around her. The sky was tuned to the channel of static grey and the wind whipped up dirt and gravel all around her. She could see a dirt devil raging forward in the distance and the wind howled louder than a pack of wolves. With the debris spiraling out of control around her she had no idea where she was and when the rain came down and it became impossible to detect what clans she was even by. She promised to be more tame and not to intrude on lands that may not want her, but she couldn't even tell anymore where the borders started or ended, the wind was whipping around so many scents she swear she could event smell WaterClan although that didn't' surprise her considering WaterClan's scent flowed down through almost all clans from the water that came from them.
Moving carefully through the storm she found a thicket of trees and bushes and pressed herself close to a tree before navigating towards a bush and digging a small ditch to shelter herself underneath it. Her emerald gaze swept the surrounding area, but she couldn't even see a fox length in front of her from how heavy the rain was coming down. Wherever she was she knew it had to be the mountain clans judging by the terrain around her and given that she wasn't in snow... She was probably fine. Most other mountain clans weren't as territorial as WinterClan or at least not needlessly territorial as them.
He had enjoyed the first half of the day, with open, somewhat cloudy skies and a chilling wind that ran through his fur so deep it hit his skin. Shadedsun, after helping with rebuilding for a bit, decided to go for a hunt just after the sky turned grey. He wouldn’t be gone too long, just a quick hunt to stock up the prey. The air smelled heavily of rain and the wind messed up his senses a bit. He contemplated going home, but was determined to catch something before he left. Rain fell onto his head, sending a shiver down his spine. It seemed to all come down at once, thick as a river, drenching him to his very core. The wind held the howls of the sky, screams of fear, maybe, echoed around the territory. The rain hit the ground like giant paws and the thunder growled like an enraged bear. He had to find shelter and wait out this storm.
There.
Something caught his eyes. A pair of emerald eyes stuck out from the rain, glowing like crystals. Another cat? Who else was out in this weather? He bounded towards then, his soaked fur heavy and uncomfortable. “Hey, any room for me down there?” He approached the ditch, catching a glimpse of a pelt. Mist had clouded the area, making it difficult to see anything. He continued my shook the water from his pelt, only for it to be drenched once more.
Her paws rapidly dug way, expertly creating another ditch, but having the ditch face downward more like a plateau so that any excess water would funnel downward instead of filling up if she had done a crater formation. She shifted to the side, her back artfully dodging the leaves to ensure she didn't cause any unnecessary drops to fall onto her. She had a knack for keeping herself dry or perhaps more precisely, she had training in survival skills and this rainstorm was rookie level to her.
"Hey what clan is this?" Glowstar asked, raising her voice a little to be heard over the winds. She looked him over slowly, like he was something she needed to analyze from ear to claw. Her eyes retreated back as quick as they looked feeling satisfied by whatever she had been searching for about the tom.
Glowstar was like starlight in the night. Her stature was tall and hourglass shaped. She had glossy fur like a WaterClan warrior, but her muscle toned body perfectly resembled the crafted soldier of a league cat. Her fur was an ocean of wild auburn cinnamon waves kissing up against the shores of her auburn bombshell coat, but it was the emerald eyes that stood out. They looked like they had been plucked out from a beautiful brook and twinkled with mischief for the moments when her gaze teetered on Shadedsun.
Shadedsun shifted in beside her, fighting the urge to shake out his soaked pelt as not to get the She-cat even more wet. He gave her a good once-over and recognition sparked within his eyes depts. What was Glowstar, leader of WaterClan, doing here? The tom, with his thick fur rippling across his body like nightly waves, shifted as much as he could to groom himself now that he was in the safety of the ditch.
“You’re on SpringClan territory. If I may ask, what are you doing here?” He kept his tone polite as he spoke loudly over the yowling wind, knowing to address Glowstar with respect even if she was trespassing. She wasn’t stealing anything or doing any bad, just hiding from the storm. He’d send her off once it blew over. Shadedsun’s eyes, bright yellow suns that constantly sparkled, met her gaze, silently contemplating if he really should send her off now. His deputy duties told him yes, he should, but his compassionate side said no. So, he decided to let her take shelter. But he would keep an eye on her. Not that she was really going to go anywhere, in this weather, or do anything in front of a SpringClan cat, the deputy no less.
(Glowstar's leader of DayClan, she's just a mixed cat. Though I should probably put that I'm leader of DC in my little tab section)
"Ohh, the new deputy, nice. I remember when I disobeyed my leader and changed my name to overthrow a clan by becoming deputy. Simpler times back then," Glowstar nodded as if reliving the memories as she spoke, "Though, let's hope you have a better moral compass than I did back in the day. Oh and I'm Glowstar, the pleasure is absolutely all mine, wonderful to meet you."
She smiled so warmly it was easy to take what she said as a joke, but it was so matter of a fact and instantly spoken that it felt truthful and genuine.
Glowstar waved her paw passively at his question, "I was just coming back from Moon Creek, guess StarClan's telling me I left too early, huh?" She observed his politeness as resisting hostility and added, "I suppose you wouldn't think about it too much. You're lucky for being so close by to Moon Creek, but us Forest Clan cats have to make quite the journey to get over there. Well. Just me and NightClan, Moon and Sun don't believe in StarClan any longer if you can believe that."
(I’m so sorry, I got Glowstar and Violetstar switched up.)
”Pleasure to meet you as well, though the circumstances aren’t the greatest.” He turned his head to look at the falling raindrops, thick, freezing cold water droplets. He hated the rain.
“Yeah, I’d imagine the journey.” He wrapped his tail protectively around himself as he shivered. “I’ve heard some stuff, but I haven’t been there so I wasn’t so sure. I wonder why, though.” Shadedsun shifted a little, unsure what to say anymore. “Well I stayed out on a hunt a little too long. Trying to stock the prey and stuff. Everyone needs there strength right now, and prey is plentiful now.” The large black-furred tom fell into silence once more, the only noise was the wind and the raindrops hitting the earth.
(It's okay, I don't think I remember every leader in every clan)
Glowstar's blazing ember gaze flickered from branch to branch, "Sooooo. Last time I saw SpringClan we were both leaving from our enslavement in SunClan a few moons ago. Have things been since then? Have you enjoyed your freedom and all that?" She asked a bit awkwardly.
She didn't know about Cicero, all she really last knew was that Peachstar was no longer leader and SunClan had long since left them alone. She almost thought that since DayClan and SpringClan had been imprisoned together that the clans would have a closer relationship, but long distance typically put a damper on such things. She didn't recognize Shadedsun though, maybe he was new since then or she just hadn't caught sight of him while trapped in SunClan. Either way this was the best conversation starter she could think up of first.
“We’ve been doing excellent! We’re nearly done rebuilding our camp and fixing what Cicero and his rogues destroyed of our territory.” Shadedsun stared at the storm outside, thoughts clouding his mind. SpringClan has conquered everything that had been thrown at them—with some difficulty, of course. “And I thank StarClan that we’re able to get back on our feet.” He was silent for a few heartbeats. “So, how is DayClan?”
"Our alliances have been strained thanks to SunClan attacking Renegade Regime. DayClan's in an alliance with both, but now Commander Mars has doubts on DayClan's loyalty. After everything DayClan has done for them, the fact that DayClan has so much family in Renegade Regime it's an utter betrayal to be told that they don't believe we're loyal to them. I suppose Renegade Regime and us have been having some drama, but like I said, we have family in Renegade. I always figured it wouldn't go past a little tense arguing," Glowstar said.
