Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bloodpaw shuffled his paws as he waited on Raspberrypaw to meet him at the entrance to camp. He didn't know a lot about her, other than she was rather pretty... Far to pretty for someone like him.
His massive size, underbite, and squished in face made him seem rather intimidating. Others avoided him like he had some sort of disease, or acted like he was going to cut their throats while they slept.
(I opened this link and without reading anything I almost laughed seeing a pic of that cat xD He's got his little paw up like, "Bless thee.")
He was up and then he was down on the ground staring up at Raspberrypaw. She had bounded up beside the apprentice from the side only to turn on her paws and launch forward directly at him. Her honey gold eyes stared down at him practically glowing as her paws batted onto his chest squealing, "EEEEE! I'm SO excited."
She let out a happy sigh and lied down on top of him, her chin resting on his chest, "So partner, what are we going to do, I was thinking first we'd watch the dragonflies fly about. Then we'd go chase off some ducks. Oh! And if we have time we should dig a hole and see how far we can dig! Mom was always like, "Don't dig holes someone's gonna fall in them." But we're never gonna get to the other side of the world with attitude. Right?"
[lol yeah! I only decided to adopt him after I randomly saw this picture on pintrest... I was like yeah I have to]
Before he really knew what was happening, he suddenly found himself gazing up at pair of dazzling honey colored eyes that he had ever seen. Why had he never noticed them before now was beyond him. Well perhaps that was due that most cats never really met his eyes. It took him a few moments to even figure out who he was looking at until managed to drag his gaze from her eyes to take in the rest of the sight. This was Raspberrypaw.
He blinked in disbelief "Uhmmm.....Well hello" he managed to stutter out with the she-cat battering his chest with her paws. "Yeah, sure. Uhm. That sounds good"
In a singular motion Raspberrypaw rolled off from Bloodpaw and sprang to her paws, "I know the best spot for watching dragon flies, it's right by the creek, but I mean you're also partnered with me so if there's something you want to do too I'll do it too!" She squeaked, by the time most cats had become apprentices there was no longer a high pitch note at the end of their sentences, but Raspberrypaw seemed to have never grown out of it.
Bloodpaw wasn't quite sure what to make of his new partner. Instead of being off-put by his apperance, she hadn't even seemed to take note of it. He blinked, scrambling to his paws as she allowed him to get up.
He had always thought that his partner would want to jump right into training, so the fact that she wanted to go and watch fireflies was rather unexpected. This was all new to him, so he supposed that perhaps getting to know his partner wouldn't be a bad start to them working togather "Ok, I just started my training, so I haven't really been out of camp very much. Burningstar always keeps a close eye on us and even when she is gone Soaringbird is watching"
"I once left with my sister Skypaw when we were kits. We were going to make our own clan in DayClan back when it was abandoned for the winter. I think I was going to be Raspberrystar or maybe Skypaw had called being leader. I don't remember anymore, if you want you can be leader if it's between the two of us. I happen to think I'd be a great leader, but I could be an even better deputy," Raspberrypaw said, "Now. ONTO THE DRAGON FLIES! Last one there has to um. Um. Catch one!"
Raspberrypaw sprinted off, but immediately ran backwards, "Actually I'd looooove, to catch a dragon fly so you can beat me so I can catch one!" She squealed, while still running in place despite the fact that she could just pause to talk to him.
The young tom was finally begining to relax, as he stood up on his hind legs and batted at one of the dragonflies "Last one to catch one has to clean the other's nest?" he added playfull. It sounds like a fiar trade, and he was starting to feel more confident as the moments passed.
"And I will take you up on that offer, from now on you may call me Bloodpaw, leader of dragonflies"
"Teheheh! You can't clean my nest if you lose! You might be bitter about it and stick burs in there or creepy crawlies!" Raspberrypaw giggled.
She batted at a dragonfly and immediately caught it. Clearly this was something she did in her free time. She expertly pinned it down feeling the buzzing vibration beneath her paws she stuck her claw into its back allowing it to bleed out slowly through the wound in order to preserve its beautiful body.
"You're my new favorite person Bloodpaw! I love dragonfly hunting! I even collect them, but the others don't like me putting them around my nest so I just stick it onto my special tree instead. Sometimes birds eat them though... That's why I bring back a lot of birds into camp," She admitted almost sullenly.
