Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The sun was shining, sparkling over the soft water of the river as it meandered beneath the willow, purring as it passed. She lay in the shade with her warm eyes watching, blessed by the beautifully perfect day, a smooth glassy river beneath gauzy white wisps of clouds floating against the sky. Oh, she could just stay here forever looking at the beauty of it all! Coralreef sighed sweetly, stretching out on her back alongside the water and letting one blue paw brush the surface surrounded by ripples.
She was supposed to be... hunting, maybe, or patrolling; she wasn't sure, she honestly didn't pay any attention other than the command to go outside and stop playing with the kits before I string you up by the tail. But how was she supposed to focus on catching prey or predators, anyway, when the water was so sparkly and pretty and the sun so warm and the grass so soft and the day so wonderful?

(THIS IS SUCH A GREAT IDEA I NEED TO DO THIS FOR MY CLAN)
Stormrumble was swimming gracefully through the water, taking strong strokes as he silently swam to the shore. He popped up next to a cat who unfortunately startled him. "AHCK!" He yelped before taking a breath and disappearing back underwater.
“You two look mightily relaxed. Well, minus you scaring the fur off Stormrumble.” Came the voice of Violetstar. The she-cat had made her way from behind the waterfall, using the stepping stones carefully before she Came to the scene between the two.
She leaned back as he leaped out, a little surprise and a little avoidant if the water, then laughed cheerfully. She splashed water back at him, a moment too soon as his head disappeared under the waves. “Hey, Violetstar,” she meowed brightly as she turned to look her. Her gaze skinned quickly to see if she had brought any company, then accepted she was alone. “Did you come to join us?!”
She smiled. “I don’t think I will be joining in the swimming today, I’d like to just relax in the sun.” She commented softly, her purple hued eyes seeming to light with her own smile.
She settled down on the bank, tucking her paws under her chest.
"Okay. But that's not as fun as playing in the water! I suppose you know that, though," she laughed, "or you wouldn't be a WaterClan cat! I wonder what would have happened if you weren't one of us when StarClan needed a new leader? Who would they have chosen? That would've been scary!" Coralreef shuddered, then smiled again. "I'm glad you're leader, though. I think it was really cool that you made Dad deputy 'cuz now I'm, like, famous!"
She imagined that if she hadn’t of been chosen, it would have been Riverwolf. Violetstar mused about this. Most cats had expected her to pick the strong tom as her deputy, but she trusted Chimerahunt more than any other cat. Why couldn’t anyone accept that?
Her eyes gazed fondly at the feline. “Your father has become a respectable cat.”
Coralreef beamed, pleased by the praise. "He's pretty cool, huh? He's a little grumpy, but that's okay. I wish I could spend more time with him." She frowned slightly, but it was gone in an instant as she shrugged. "But naw, it's much more important for him to do his deputy duties! I bet he's really busy all the time!" That didn't explain why he had refused to hang out with his kits before he was deputy, but she chose to ignore that.
Violetstar modded softly, her purple eyes shifting away now. She knew the tom’s history decently well. Deep inside, she had wondered why he had closed himself off to his own children so much.
The chatty she-cat went on, not noticing the leader look away. "Isn't he like, the best deputy? I mean I know he's kinda distracted and angry sometimes but he always sends apprentices out so that's cool! I guess everyone does that 'cuz they need the experience. But he makes sure they're surrounded by strong warriors to keep the same! And he assigned them all good mentors. Or do you assign mentors?"
She blinked then looked back at the feline. “I assign the mentors.” A small smile landed on her lips, this feline was quite the chatty one. Perhaps that was one reason why Chimerahunt seemed to avoid her. He wasn’t much for talking.
“Well then you did a great job! But I noticed I didn’t get an apprentice. Maybe we’ll remedy that soon,” she mused with an over the top dramatic wink. “Oceanscent didn’t either.” Naturally the pair would only receive an apprentice over Chim’s dead body, but the others didn’t need to know that.
