Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was difficult to speak while holding prey, so for once he was mercifully silent. Chim has made it through almost an entire day without a single sarcastic or bitter jab — practically a record. As they drew near, he did shift the prey in his jaw and reluctantly grumble, “Not a bad day out. You aren’t so bad.”
Her brows raised slightly as she looked at him with a sideglance. “I can say the same about you, but I fear you might not find it as a compliment.” She purred in return. It was a playful jab, nothing meant to be taken harsh, especially with the tone she had used to the tom. As they arrived to the waterfall, she found herself shaking out her fur. “It’ll be nice to rest.” She commented softly, more to herself than him.
He snorted, though he didn't deny it. She was right; he couldn't have her going around ruining his reputation with talk of him being not so bad. If the fearful wound that took his eye left any benefit, it was that it scared cats away almost as easily as his glare.
"Rest? You're a leader now. You'll barely close your eyes before someone is there bothering you with their problems."
“Hm.. I suppose you may be right. But one can hope, right?” She shrugged, fully accepting the responsibility of her rank within WaterClan. After all, who would take this on anyways? Not many would, and not many would do a good job. She hoped she was doing well...
Chim grunted in reply but didn't comment. He supposed she was right, but he certainly did not envy her the job. He was content with his life on the sidelines. He led the way into the cave and glanced around for any hungry mouths.
Chim nodded again. He glanced at her, about to speak up - then changed his mind and turned away, instead slipping away to the side of a recovering cat and offered them his fish.
