Rustlepaw had finally finished braiding his tail, carefully placing the flowers into the design. It always took him a long time to get ready in the mornings and today was no exception. "Momma, hey momma!! Can you help me fix my crown?" Jadie
"Of course I can," Poppymask purred as she made her way over the Rustlepaw's side. The two of them looked more and more alike as the young apprentice grew and, while their coloring was a bit different, the likeness was almost uncanny, "Since flowers are a bit scarce in leaf-fall, I always accent what I've got with those beautiful ruby and copper tones of color-changed leaves. It'll match your fur and make your eyes really pop. So yeah, that's what you should do."

Rustlepaw sat down at his mother's side, leaning into her warmth, with his braided tail draped neatly over his back paws. The long fur on his tail now drug on the ground when it was left free, so styling it wasn't just for looks. Without the careful attention, it made it nearly impossible to hunt or train "Of course, and some darker colors from some wood would be a nice touch to" he agreed, bright blue eyes gazing up at Poppymask with a big smile 'Maybe we can surprise poppa for when he gets better"
"I think he'll be plenty happy to see you wearing your crown, he doesn't another one right now," Poppymask said, giving her son a lick on his forehead. Since they were prisoners, their supplies for flower crowns were greatly limited. They still each had their own from before the takeover but weren't able to create very many new ones, "Let's make one for yourself and if you have any leftovers maybe we can make Poppa a matching eyepatch."
