Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The sun was up, and it was time to begin her normal morning routine. Unseenkit careful rose, and stepped carefully out of the crowded nest. Then she took out the dried moss that had acumulaed on the floor and set it outside the nursery. Next she cleaned her fur until her long locks flowed around her with no tangles. Another day, the same old routine.
She sighed, as her sightless blue orbs seemed to gaze across the camp. Her mother was so afraid of her getting hurt, that she was rarly allowed out of her sight. It was like being a prisoner in her own home. Sure she was blind, but that didn't mean she was some helpless princess that needed to be coddled.
Her ears swivled, they were all she needed to understand the world around her. They told her where everyone was located, her sense of sell and touch also heightened.

Acaikit lay in his nest, coughing softly. He was just recovering from his most recent bout with whatever sickness was trying to claim him this time. He was so young yet managed to survive several deadly sicknesses already and it was, in it's own way, quite amazing on its own. Finally, he felt strong enough to leave his nest and maybe for once make a friend.
"Hi, Unseenkit." He greeted her with a raspy voice. He had noticed she was here almost as much as he was but he wasn't sure why, she seemed big and strong and more than capable of leaving the den easily.
"Good morning" she replied as her ears flicked towards his raspy voice. The tiny tom was almost always in the nursery, complaining of one sickness or another. Perhaps he really was sick, but perhaps not. A lot of it seemed to be in his head. After all if you grew up being told you were sickly, than you would act sickly.

"I'm not sleeping in. Just trying to get better. Dragonswrath won't let me leave my nursery, she doesn't even want me out of my nest." In his opinion, he needed to move around or he would never feel normal or better. "Why are you in here instead of playing with the others, anyways?" He had overheard the older cats talking and understood she could not see the way he could but that didn't make her unable to play with the others, would it? He couldn't imagine. He would give his right paw to play with the others if he could.
"Mmm. Personally, I think you would be better off building up your strength through exercise.. Staying in that nest is not doing you any favors" she tended to say whatever was on her mind, even if it was a little hurtful.
"The other kits wouldn't play with me even if I wanted to" though it was hard to explain to those who didn't know of her past. "Apparently, my father was a murderer. He killed many SunClan cats, and was killed by Foxstar in front of the whole clan in retribution for his crimes. Me and my siblings were born shortly after, and no queen wants their child to play with children of a murderer. So go, run along. You wouldn't want to be seen with the likes of me" she never tried to hide who she was, their wasn't much point. All the older cats in the clan knew of her father, and they would tell their children in time. For now most of the kits didn't understand why they were not allowed to play with her, just that they were not.

"Um, I don't think that has anything to do with you." Acaikit had heard that he should stay away from her and now he sort of understood now that he heard that explanation. He had heard stories of things like this from the elders, cats murdering others and their kits following in their footsteps. Those were the stories they told, but he doubted all kits followed in their parents footsteps. He didn't know his father, as far as he knew the tom could be a blood thirsty cold blooded killer.
"We could play something, if you wanted. You shouldn't have to be alone all the time. It's just not right." He didn't understand or know much yet, but what he did understand was that she didn't do anything to deserve being isolated all the time. He hated being on his own and she clearly did too.
"Is it really wise to play with those who have been marked as a taboo? Others are always watching, and you risk them seeing you in the same light" of course she would love to jsut play with tom, but it wasn't wise. The tom was risking a lot just by speaking with her, probably more than he realized. He had enough of his own problems without having hers added on to his own.
"Perhaps the way they treat me isn't right, but it is reality. The only one who can change those perceptions as me, one day I will prove that I belong here... One day all those who fear me will see me in a different light"

He listened closely to her words and nodded. She was mature for their age, much more mature than he was by far, but something about her words struck a chord with him. "You can start by proving it to me? Maybe if others see the way you interact with me or other cats might start to change their mind. Just sitting here by yourself isn't doing anything and I'm not afraid of what other cats think. If I was, do you really think I would still be here?
"I know what other cats say about me, a weak tiny kit becoming a Janus. Since the moment I was kitted they have all looked at me and waited for me to die. No matter what cats still look at me funny and talk behind my back and I'm honestly used to it at this point. Stop pushing everyone away. Let's just play a game or something because it's fun." Maybe if they saw her do activities like play moss ball or tag with the others their opinions might start to change and they would see her as just another kit here to play.
"I suppose I won't be dragging you into my issues, for you have your own" it wasn't fair of her to ask others to play with her, with the consequences so high. But this cat was already an outsider, a cat that the adults looked upon with disdain. They were both not accepted by their clan, although the reasons differed.
"Very well, but if we are going to do this, then we are going to do it right" she replied mischeviously. "I propose we go on a little adventure beyond the protection of the older cats, lets leave camp"

He hesitated. In his current condition running was not a good idea and if they met any trouble.. that would probably be the end of him. Unfortunately, he also did not want to look weak in front of her or as if he couldn't do everything the other kits could. "Okay, but where? We don't really even know what's out there." He didn't at the very least, he barely left the nursery let alone the camp.
"That's the point!" she replied a little more enthusiastically. "It will be an adventure, who knows what we will find? Everyone thinks we are helpless, why don't we go out there and prove them wrong?"
Unseenkit smiled, not taking no for an answer. She let her paws guide her to the tunnels that would lead out of SUnClan camp. Just making it out of the tunnels would be difficult for the two of them to acomplish, but even getting to experience the tunnels would be a new experience for the two of them.
So far she had been able to rely upon her memory of camp to guide her, but this would be walking blind into the unknown.

His whiskers twitched thoughtfully. She was right, this was a chance for two outcasted and loner kits to come together and prove they were strong and proved they were not helpless. It was such a tempting proposition... could he really say no to it? He let out a small and fading cough before nodding enthusiastically. It took him a moment to realize she could not see him nodding, "Alright let's go. Do you know a way out of camp?" Despite her sightless nature he figured she had an idea of a way they could escape undetected.
"Well mom said there is only one way in and out of camp..." she replied motioning in the direction of the single tunnel that lead into their camp "but it is also dangerous.. There are lots of dead ends and opening that lead to cliffs"
"I have never been out of camp before, but I think that if we work togather we can figure it out" she purred. "The trick is getting into the tunnels without any of the adults trying to stop us"

"Hmmmm... Well in that case, we might need a distraction. I'll bet I can get one of the other kits to make a scene so we can sneak out." in particular, if he asked Adventurekit on the promise of helping her sneak out he was almost certain she would do it. She was good at things like that to both his alarm and satisfaction. "I can lead you and we should be able to get out just fine. They'll never know the difference. Warriors think they're all that so they tend to be blind to what's right in front of their noses!" He let out a good natured purr, excitement rushing throuugh his veins.
"That would be perfect. Adventurektit really is good at distractions" she purred. While Unseenkit had not really talked to him all that much, he had seen the tom make a scene before. He was good at gathering attention onto him when he wanted to. The adult wouldn't even notice they were missing until it was to late.
By the time that their families realized they were not in the nursery, they would already be in the tunnels.

Acaikit nodded with excitement before bounding over to Adventurekit who lay in her nest, still sleeping which was unusual for the orange tabby. "Adventurekit!" He called and her eyes opened almost immediately. They whispered between each other for a few moments before a mischievous grin appeared on her face and she strutted out of the nursery and into the clearing.
"She said we would know when our cue was." He told Unseenkit excitedly as he rushed back over. Sure enough, it did not take long before her heard her let out a scared scream that only she could pull off so suddenly.
She giggled, hearing the loud scream. She shouldn't have been surprised, Adventurekit was known for his ability to pull off these types of stunts. The long furred she-cat walked forward, making sure to stay near her new friend.
She couldn't see where she was going, nor ensure that no one was watching. She would have to rely on Acaiki to lead the way.

"Stay close to me." He whispered, pressing their pelts together as he lead her forward. Cats were crowding around the small orange kit who had screamed and was stuttering and muttering something about a spider or some kind of insect. Most of them were confused, but were doing what they could to comfort her. She truly was a great actor... he'd have to be careful with that knowledge.
He led them both out of the camp safely, pressing them close to the walls a few times in order to avoid any eyes or warriors entering camp. Once they were outside, he let out a big sigh of relief. "We did it." He announced with a proud grin.
The ground beneathe her feet began to feel strange and unfamiliar, but it was the first time she had been out of camp after all. She giggled "What should do first?"
If they were going to get in trouble, she wanted it to be worth it. They needed to do something memorable, something none of the other kits would dare to do

"Is there anything you've wanted to do for your first trip out?" He asked her curiously. She already seemed to be happier and in a better mood and honestly, that made him rather happy. He loved seeing his friends and clanmates happy.
