Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bloodystar turned his head to face little Allaria-tyke only to see another blue-eyed kit at her side. Clearly these two were littermates and, if what the one biting his leg had said was true, they were... Duskslayer's? But his friend had not so much as mentioned them to him... He was thankful that his back was to the enemies for once as it gave him time to mask the betrayed - and embarrassed - look on his face. In seconds these kits made him a fool in more ways than one.
Allaria, come here.
At Kaisra's call, Allaria bit down one more time, made a face at Bloodystar with her tongue sticking out and scampered off. Bloodystar let her. He would never hurt a kit much less Duskslayer's, although his heart still ached. This was a pretty big secret he had just stumbled into. If Dusky could keep this from SunClan, what other sorts of secrets was he hiding? Now was't the time to worry about it. Duskslayer had said he'd be back soon. He'd get more answers then.
Shaking his mildly sore leg slightly, he looked back to to Regime cats, his composure regained, and his eyes settling on Commander Shule's. They looked harder somehow. More determined and emotionally shut off, "It's discouraging to see you are preparing for a fight. I already made it clear that that was not my intention." But how honest was he really? He'd brought an entire battle patrol with him, some of the cats were even carrying similar first aid herbs, "Regardless, I don't think I have anything left to say to you. I'll wait for Duskslayer."
"I'm not in trouble, am I?" Allaria-tyke asked Kaisra, tail whipping from side to side, ears pinned to her head, "He's an intruder!"

Hakoda growled deeply in his throat his eyes never leaving the stranger until his sister scrambled past him to Kasaria. He slowly backed away giving a small hiss before returning to his sisters side making sure that his pelt brushed up against hers
"Mom," Duskslayer said, walking over to Commander Shule's side, "this is my best friend Bloodystar, he's asking me to help him out. I was hoping we could have him over for dinner today so we-"
His blue gaze moved over to his kits, "Can catch up."
He walked past her and over to Bloodystar, sitting down beside him, turning to Bloodystar he could see the tiny bites he had, "Get bit by rats again?" He teased, but his gaze was full of shame, "I kept things from you, I won't deny it, but I'll always have your back. Are you alright with staying for dinner or do you want to do something else?"

Kaisra inclined her head almost invisibly to Bloodystar, if he was even paying attention enough to notice it, then her eyes shifted to the kits, and she flicked each of them on the forehead with her tail. "The attempt was commendable, but next time, let the soldiers handle it." She reccomended, though she seemed amused rather than irritated as she led them away from the commotion. "Let's get you back to your mom, okay? She must be worried sick."
Commander Shule had been very, very still throughout this interaction. Far too still, her gaze zeroed in on Bloodystar like a predator watching it's prey, muscles bunched, ready to kill in an instant if he dared to harm the kits. When he let the kits go without even trying to stop them, the worst of her temper seemed to fade, and she actually appeared a tad calmer than before. She had very little respect for the tyrant Priest, but this had earned him some amount of it. "A cat wanting to talk either arranges it beforehand, or waits at a border." The white pawed she-cat stated, her voice cold, though her gaze now turned to Dusky. "Friend or not, he is absolutely not welcome in the Regime, and considering all that he has done, the only place he belongs is prison."
Allaria-tyke shared an annoyed look with Hakoda-tyke but begrudgingly followed after Kaisra. For all of her fierceness, she was surprisingly easy to tame when she was caught by a cat that she trusted thanks to her militant upbringing.
Bloodystar was first realized to see Duskslayer and his face read that, but he quickly hardened it, reminding himself that he was supposed to be upset with him. It was easier said than done. Surrounded by enemies and literally backed into a corner, there was no other cat that he'd want by his side, so he decided to change his tactic slightly, "I need to be returning to SunClan. My mate is having a difficult pregnancy, can't seem to keep anything down, and I need to be there for her..."
There, that should do it. Odds were that Dusky would know nothing about a new mate much less a pregnancy. Jetfire's kits may not be Bloodystar's, and he had always meant to tell Duskslayer that truth, but now he had decided to keep it to himself out of spite. It was easier to do something petty like that instead of punish him as he should for breaking the Code, "... I'd rather you speak some sense into your mother, gather up Unseenlights and your kits, and get out of these miserable tunnels. We can talk about anything you want for as long as you want once we get home."
"Can we talk, just the two of us? Mercenary Superior Undertow's here so I know he can keep watch," Duskslayer said to Commander Shule, "It's something private and it cannot wait."

Shule forced herself to keep herself neutral as Bloodystar spoke about his pregnant mate. As far as she was aware, he could be lying, but she'd have to ask Belle to confirm it, she'd know. If he were telling the truth though, she knew she couldn't keep him more than a few days at best. At Dusky's question, she gave him a long look, before giving a single nod. There were enough mercenaries, between Lex, Undertow, and the others. Speaking of, she turned to her Superior. "Send someone if anything at all seems amiss. Even if it seems like it's too small to matter."
Dusky walked down the tunnels until they no longer echoed to the rest of the group and turned to face his mom. "Bloodystar has asked me to become priest promise of SunClan, he wants Lights and I to come back. This next part is important and I need you to know this. Bloody is my best friend, we've been through everything together, he is my brother. We have always kept each other safe whether it was when we were in two-leg place attacked by rats or taken by two-legs. Or when Littlestar cruelly and unjustly made him an initiate. He never once left my side, and he may have done unspeakable, unforgivable things, but I can tell you right now that he never betrayed our friendship. I left him, I lied to him, for you. I left SunClan because even though I didn't know you I already felt in my heart that there wasn't anything I wasn't willing to do to help you because you're my mom. You said you needed help and that was all I needed to know. Mom, hundreds of people can come and go from your life, but you will never have to worry that that'll be me. I will always be there for you, and you will never lose me again, I won't let it happen."
Her breathed in, "When Kaisra and Serenity left it was just me and my dad, I wasn't happy in SunClan, but I couldn't leave him in a cult so I stayed. Now he's here, but not all of my family is safe. Bloody isn't like a brother to me, he is, he's family. I understand if we can't all sit down and have dinner together, but he needs me. The same way you did, the same way dad did. I'm doing this and if you want you can capture his patrol, I can't stop you. But I'd much rather have my mom by my side when talking to Bloody so you can keep me from doing anything stupid."

"He may be hurt, and I understand you care deeply about him, but while he may not have hurt you directly, he's already shown he's ready to hurt those closest to you." Shule replied. "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to tell you everything before he showed up, but Bloodystar has done more than just the unforgivable, he's messed with family. Most, if not all, of Unseenlight's family is either run off, or left to rot in a prison cell. I can't stop you from going, but it's not just you I'm worried about, Dusky. He was quick to separate Littlestar and her mate from their own kits." She couldn't help it, she was shaking. The Commander wasn't honestly sure if it was from rage, or the memories that came flooding back, forcing her to sit down and take a trembling breath, eyes darting between both of her son's. She could still remember being locked in the cage, coming home to realize her kits weren't even there anymore.
"If he could do that to Littlestar, to your mate, he could do it to you and your kits. How long until you're imprisoned? How long until he becomes another Foxstar, abusing his power for his own gain, no matter what he claims the cause is? Look at what Foxstar did to Glowstar. Who's to say he won't do the same to you? How is Unseenlights supposed to explain to her kits if they get to see her side of the family at all, it's behind bars." It wasn't just that she couldn't lose Dusky again, which despite his promise, she couldn't quite bring herself to believe. It was Bloodystar's utter betrayal of the very lines Shule had. SunClan was never very high on her list of clans she liked, but she'd hoped things would get better under Littlestar. This new leadership, however, just proved that was impossible. SunClan was doomed to repeat it's own mistakes. To follow a god who couldn't care less for it's followers, and to have no line they couldn't cross for their own gain. And she could never recommend her son to bring his family into that.
"Bloody needs help, but the kind of help he needs isn't you letting him walk himself over the edge into more things he can never ever take back." She wanted to help Dusky. But Bloody was the sort who didn't respond to talking, who thought he owned cats and was owed loyalty even when he didn't deserve it. How long before Dusky became just another pawn, thrown to the side when no longer useful? It would be much harmful to imprison Bloody until SunClan got to it's paws again, than to allow him to return, though she absolutely loathed the idea of hurting the litter of innocent kits by depriving him of a parent, who at minimum, didn't seem willing to harm children, though she couldn't be totally certain.
Dusky stared at Shule for a long moment after she spoke, but a shy smile broke through, "I'm surprised," He said with a tilt of his head, his dizzying turquoise stare looked molten hot, piercing in the dark tunnels, "I thought for sure you were going to ground me to post kilo."
He nuzzled the side of his mothers face, "I'm an Eerie, that just... I don't know, it doesn't bother me," He looked a little defeated, unable to explain it, "To me it's like saying not to go outside because it's raining, cause I might slip or catch a cold or get hit by lightning. Either way it doesn't matter how probable either of those are, I'm not disturbed one way or another. There are a lot of uncertainties, a lot of what if's, but one thing I do know with all my heart is he's my friend and really that's all that matters. I know if he looked into his conscience that he would choose what is right over our friendship. He absolutely could punish me however he see's fit, but he's worth the risk. And I'll be honest, I almost never meet anyone worth any risks, but he is."
He looked back out through the tunnels, thinking, "It's not smart bringing the kits, I hope they do stay here, but when that becomes inevitable I'll have to try my best." He looked back at Shule, but was fairly confident that he wasn't easing her heart in the slightest, "Glowstar never really raised me closely, not as much as she'd like, but I was brought up believing that evil is a kind of sickness. So to me, to me someone may as well have told me that Bloody's suffering from an illness. I don't expect myself to be able to save him, to change fate, but I want to be there for him. I want him to know I'm here and if he's struggling he doesn't need to be alone. But he is here and you're my mom and also my commander so if you want to negotiate terms with him you can if you stay on the same level of civil as he is."
