Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
HUNTING CLASS HARE TEACHERS: GHOULMASK (@sinful ) & SPECKLEPELT (indy ) STUDENTS: GLACIERPAW (Moonbound ), HAILPAW (uniqcrim ), JASMINEPAW (@peepingpeeper ), MYSTERYPAW (Jetclaw ), SPRUCEPAW (simplylight ), GOLDENPAW (Moonbound) Specklepelt strode out of the Knights den with almost a spring in his step as Ghoulmask followed sulked slowly behind. Their first times as mentors, and they get to teach a class together! There just wasn't anything else that could have made him happier. A deep purr was apparent in his throat as he called their new shared students from the old log den. "Glacierpaw! Hailpaw! Jasminepaw! Mysterpaw! Sprucepaw! Goldenpaw! It's time for our training~" The mottle black and white tom sang lightly, a tail twirling around Ghoulmasks as the Knight came up next to him.
"What is this, the Brady Bunch?" Ghoulmask muttered darkly as he sat down, dark circles around his eyes and his sapphire eyes narrowed to slits. This day was already awful. Firstly he didn't manage to fall asleep until just a bit before dawn, then the bane of his existence decided to be extra irritating and wake him up – because the first thing he wanted to see when he greeted the day was Specklepelt's furry face – and now he had to babysit a bunch of kids that more than likely didn't want to be here as much as he didn't.
At least they had that in common.
"Come on, you little rats, let's get this over with so I can go back to bed."
"Rats? Have you seen yourself?" Glacierpaw countered as she got up from her nest, amber eyes narrowed into slits as they attempted to adjust to the light pouring in from the opening. The silver-furred she-cat padded up towards Specklepelt and bumped her head into his chest playfully, yet when her gaze met Ghoulmask's, it turned into a glare. Rats, my butt, She thought.
Goldenpaw allowed an obnoxious yawn to escape her vocals, and as she, too, stood from her nest, she dipped downwards as she stretched out her spine. "Ahh, I think of myself more as a fox," Goldenpaw purred in reply to Ghoulmask's comment, following Glacierpaw out of the den.
"Oh, come now, come now! Ghoulmask, darling, it'll all be fun and okay! And your nest will be nice and cozy by the time we get back tonight." He purred lightly at Glacierpaws affection and licked her ear lightly. His amber eyes went to Goldenpaw and a giggle interrupted his torrent of purrs. "Fox are sly and cunning, though they're also dark and mischevious. Which do you take after?" He mused to the student, waiting for the rest to gather around so they could leave the camp.
Mysterypaw let out a snort as she emerged from the den stretching out.
"What are we doing?" She asked not bothering with either of the names tossed her way. She knew her value, Ghoulmask's words born of his foul mood would not bother her.

"You all need to relax a little bit or we're all going to hate each other." Hailpaw commented lazily from the sidelines as he meticulously groomed one paw. Very few things annoyed orirritated him, but groundless poking and prodding one another was one of the things that would easily get on the perfectionist's nerves. "I don't know about you, but I find you all very pretentious when you act like kits."
Ghoulmask growled, envisioning himself snapping his jaws around Glacierpaw’s throat, then Hailpaw’s. At an insistent prodding to his side, he turned and walked away from the group, leading the class out into the territory. Two could play at that game.
“Foxes are also excellent trackers,” he spoke around a growl, “I hope you live up to the standard you’ve set for yourself, Goldenpaw.”
Mysterypaw let out another scoff and rolled her eyes. Goldenpaw didn't work half as hard as she did, running her mouth more than she worked. But again, she was above squabbling. She lifted her chin and followed after Ghoulmask.
"What will we be doing today?" She asked, repeating her earlier question that had been lost in the posturing of her fellows. Really, they were too young to be so arrogant. If they'd grown up in the hardships her mother had detailed about the league, that'd be one thing, but they were all WinterClan cats, what did they know. The only good one had been Wolfpaw, and he'd... she shrugged it off refocusing on Ghoulmask waiting for him to finally answer her question.
Jasminepaw hissed as she was awoken. She didn't want to get up, she wanted to sleep, but the first day as an apprentice intrigued and excited her. So, she dragged herself out of her nest and padded out to meet the others. "You guys don't have to be so annoying!" She snapped, her bad mood already setting in. She would feel angry for a while, then she would feel nothing. She glanced around, feeling herself becoming more awake by the second. Her gaze narrowed at Ghoulmask. "Shut up before I turn you inside out." A tiny voice inside her head told her she shouldn't talk to her superiors like that, but she pushed it away in favor of more attitude and aggression. "Should I take my herb?" She asked, her voice quieting a bit.

Sprucepaw followed after Jasminepaw, ears pricking curiously as he overheard the others. He rolled his eyes and decided to pad alongside Mysterypaw. They were two of the older apprentices there so he felt a bit more comfortable around her. Being Diamondstar's son, he felt a large amount of pressure to be perfect. Although, she would never force that on him. It was just a feeling he had when he was around the other students.
The white tom sighed heavily. Who's bright idea was it for him to accompany this lot again? They were giving him a headache and they hadn't even started.
"Hunting technique," he responded gruffly to Mysterypaw, before glancing at Jasminepaw. "You should have done that before we left. You're a student now, not a kit. You need to learn responsibility now before you get yourself into trouble."

"I don't know about you all but I'm eager to start. Shall I demonstrate for the younger apprentices so we can get this show on the road?" He already had all of his basics down so he was feeling a little bored but decided to play along anyways. The faster they got them up to speed the less time he had to spend bored out of his mind.
Ghoulmask shrugged. At least it kept him from having to do anything more than sit back. Maybe if the elder apprentices were good enough, he could catch a few Z’s. Specklepelt was capable of babysitting, he’d done it before.
Jasminepaw glared back at the tom. Stupid old coot. “That’s boring! Can’t we do something exciting?” She padded up beside Goldenpaw, still glaring at Ghoulmask. “Fine then, I won’t take my herb. But you’ll have to deal with me.” She enjoyed annoying the older tom—poking the bear with a stick, per say. It got her riled up, excited. “I kinda wanna explore. Does anyone else wanna explore?” She asked. “I kinda wanna see DayClan territory again.”
The white tom fixed her with his own heated glare. Specklepelt hadn’t spoken up yet, which meant surely he was within his right to at least look like he wanted to skin her. Looking like and acting on were two very different things. Although he wanted desperately.
“Were you not here for that entire exchange? Or did you decide you’d rather space out during your schooling and fail your final assessment? Because if so I have no problem with that, just let me know so I can get the concessions together.” He waited for several moments to see if she’d open her mouth. Then, he continued. “Hailpaw just graciously offered to train your little brains so you won’t be entirely hopeless. Pay attention.”

"I can also help, Hailpaw." Sprucepaw offered with a nervous smile. He could feel the tensions rising and it was so thick he was sure you could cut it with a claw. "If you need a demonstration partner, let me know. I remember most of my training from before we got split into groups."

The long-furred white apprentice nodded at Sprucepaw and faced him. "Just watch us, Jasminepaw. A fox will scoop you up if you act like a mouse-brained you're so small. We'll start with something simple with blows o your opponent. The key is to not let them dodge and to actually be effective. Watch." He squared the other apprentice up for a moment, watching him before darting forward and landing a blow on the side of his face. "See?"
Jasminepaw felt her ears burn at the comment. “I’m not small! If a fox tries to catch me, I’ll kill it!” She swiped her claws through the air, barely missing Sprucepaw. But, she knew when she needed to pay attention, and this was one of those times. The new apprentice watched, taking in how the other moved. She rolled her eyes, just to be annoying. “Yes I see, I’m not blind.” She hissed. “See look what you guys did, I wouldn’t be this way if you had let me take my herb.”
Ghoulmask rolled his eyes at the she-cat’s feisty — but unnecessary — defense and glanced over at Specklepelt. He hummed in thought and turned back to the group.
Jasminepaw stuck her tongue out at Ghoulmask, a rather childish thing to do, she admitted. But, good thing she didn’t care. “Fine then.” She looked at Sprucepaw once before preparing herself before farting forward, rather clumsily, and landing a blow to Ghoulmask’s chest. It wasn’t his face, sure, but it would do. It took all her self control to keep her claws sheathed. This tom was so annoying.
