All required clan positions must be filled (Leader, deputy, and medicine cat), recently vacated, or in the process of being filled

• Clan pages must be neat and up to date with all information and must not interfere with the forum wrapper

• The clan must have 50 posts in the last week

special circumstances

What happens if a staff member is on the absence chart?
If a user knows they will be away for the time period of the assessments and are on the absence chart, they will be exempt from the activity check. However, the user MUST add themselves to the chart more than a day before the QCA's begin. If they add themselves a day before or later, it will not count.

What happens if a position has not been filled yet during the QCAs?
If a position is recently vacated, no points will be deducted. Otherwise, there must be a tryout thread currently in the works or posted.

Other complications/conflicts?
If any issues or conflicts arise, contact the Activity Manager.

points and activity

• If a user is considered "barely active" or "not active enough/inactive" a point will be deducted, unless the user is on the absence chart and the rules regarding it are followed.

A contribution must be made to the clan in question rather than on the site in general.

• A co-deputy (or similar rank) or medicine cat apprentice (or similar rank) will be counted with the same scale as a deputy or medicine cat, however no points will be deducted if they are inactive, nor if the position is not/has not been filled.

FAQs

What does QCA stand for?
QCA stands for Quarterly Clan Assessments.

What exactly are they?
Quarterly Clan Assessments are a measure of how well a clan is doing and what can be improved upon. Taking place every three months, they're conducted on March 1st, June 1st, September 1st, and December 1st, however the count begins the week before and may end late due to the extensive amount of work. The assessments are conducted by the Activity Manager and the AM's successor, if one exists. Contributions are counted the week before it begins — from the 22nd to the 28th of February (or the 23rd to the 29th during a leap year), the 25th to the 31st of May and August, and the 24rd to the 30th of November, including those days.

Why do we have them?
As the site grows larger in members and activity, it becomes necessary to keep track of each clan and their staff to ensure that each clan's staff is maintaining their clan appropriately so that each user in the clan can have the best experience possible. It is also important to have them just to keep track of general clan/site activity over the years.

Can you further explain how contributions are measured?
A contribution a reply to a thread (including the creation of one). When activity is counted, the contributions will be displayed as "# OUT OF #." The first number is the contributions to the clan, while the second is the total number of contributions given the week that is being counted. Clan contributions include any threads created or replied to during the week in the designated clan.

Will a clan get deleted if they fail the assessments?
Not necessarily. Failing an assessment does not have a direct effect upon a clan regardless of how many times they fail. If a demotion discussion comes up involving a leader, their assessment score will influence if the moderators choose to pardon them or not, and a clan that often fails will be more likely to be deleted if a discussion arises. Repeating failing the assessment is not grounds for deletion, however.

How many times does a clan have to fail a QCA in order to be considered for deletion?
There is not set number of times a clan must fail in order to be deleted; see above.
